why am i not able to post in other boards except this one

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.
- You need 50 posts to put an image in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.

So people who can't even be bothered to read the README can only spam here and the trash don't invade the whole forum

Its actually a pretty good SPAM solution. I too will sit and wait patiently. :)

Haha, yep... You can still browse other threads, but you have to hold your peace until you have done it for 4 hours and posted 5 times in this thread (and I advise not making stupid comments or replies to try to increase your post count, because it looks bad ;) )

You can ask on this board.  And if you need to increase your post count, there are a few useless threads just for that on this board that have hundreds of replies already.  Add yours to it and you got +1 more!

This limit seems to have been increased. I am well over 50 posts for a few days now and still if I try to put images in my signature they get removed.

It's a good idea. But maybe they could have been a bit more explicit about it? Maybe in the signup process. Most people are directed from elsewhere to a particular forumdiscussion that they might be interested in. I was looking for the "post" button for 5 minutes thinking I was an idiot for not figuring out where it was!

there are a lot of trades going on on the forum
and this can stop scammers make new accounts and keep scamming people

The fact that you would ask the question when there is already a post on it sort of clues you into why the policy is there in the first place.

Get to know the board first. Get a feel for where you can find various discussions on various topics, read up on posts from established members, etc... this way the board is actually useful and not full of garbage.

If you have a question... do a search before you start a topic.

After browsing for months I finally registered to post but unable to do so...It is so frustrating.

Yeah I've been long time lurker of these forums, but never bothered registering until now...
Actually went through all my profile settings and emails to check if there was something I was meant to do before I could post.
