Title: Wallet balance not equalling transaction history.
Post by: W2468 on September 01, 2017, 08:59:46 PM
Hi, I was hoping a kind soul could help me with a problem. My ledger wallet shows zero in the balance but the most recent transaction is + 0.8 BTC (at 11:23 on the 16/08), which is what it should be as I haven't made any other transactions. That amount was transferred from my Jaxx wallet.

However now the balance is zero. I can see the Jaxx / ledger transaction here at the bottom: https://blockchain.info/address/138ddXRr2rC2hyY9JT8ZKPRpazXHTGXEvM
But there seems to be an additional transaction that hasn't been confirmed, I'm not sure why this here.

Can anyone help explain what it is? I'm a bit of a noob so apologise in advance, I offer gratitude and grateful emoticons to anyone who can help! ☺️☺️
Thanks
Warren

It's showing as zero because of this transaction: 1daa2586a9bc0db13f2d286ccc5f81f4c4b7588880f2de1643831bf38e0c1b50 (https://blockchain.info/tx/1daa2586a9bc0db13f2d286ccc5f81f4c4b7588880f2de1643831bf38e0c1b50)

It is attemptig to send your 0.8 balance... it was created on 18/08... So you wallet has detected this and adjusted your balance to 0, as effectively those coins are no longer in your wallet.

However, that transaction has a fee of 0... So is likely to get dropped by the majority of the network and won't propagate well... And it's unlikely to get confirmed.

You may need to reset the wallet to get the balance to show correctly again (maybe restore from seed?)
