Title: How do I get my coins on my trezor?
Post by: beamin on September 03, 2017, 12:59:05 AM
Can it only store one account of bitcoins or can I keep alt coins on it?

I have it all set up but they website doesn't really tell you how to get the coins off coinbase on to it. Also if I want to put them in an exchange how does that work. I read that the coins dont really live on the trezor so could it be just used as a key to move you coins around?

Hey, you can store on it at this moment as i know it is Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, ZCash, Litecoin, Namecoin, Dogecoin, Dash and Testnet. To set up Log on to your ledger wallet and locate your bitcoin address, copy this address and log on to coinbase and send your bitcoin to the address that you just copied.

Thanks. I'm trying not to get hit with fees when I move my bit coins. Seems like putting them on the trezor then I only pay the fee once. I think.

Do the bitcoins actually live on the trezor? i noticed I can only access my trezor with chrome. So if I want to send my bit coins any time I want I just have to carry around my trezor and plug it into a computer and remember the pin correct?

Once you have moved your coins to your Trezor, you can use it as your new wallet. Like with any Bitcoin wallet, you will have to pay transaction fees whenever you send coins to a new address (eg. an exchange or when buying stuff).

Bitcoins don't "live" on the Trezor, the bitcoin balances are stored in the Bitcoin network with Trezor safekeeping the keys you need to move your coins around. You can take your Trezor with you and use it on any PC that has Chrome installed. However you will always need to install Trezor's Chrome extension first.

Note that in addition to the PIN, having a passphrase is recommended. However keep in mind that if you lose or forget your passphrase, you won't be able to access your coins.

That is correct, but what I would like to add is that Chrome is not required. If you don't want to use chrome browser for whatever reason, Trezor bridge can be downloaded to windows (and other systems) directly

you have to get your coins like bit coins, alt coins, lite coins, and ethereum coins those are really good for using. now i'm trying to buy few copins and kkeing in to trezor. actually my friends suggested to me this wallet to keep coins secure so we have to to use this wallet for keeping our coins secure. if you don't want to use google chrome then try to use another browser.
