Now ETH is going down to the dip. You SOLD or HOLD?

I missed the time to sell ETH.

I lost more than 10K USD. HOLD or SOLD with loss, I kept 250 ETH with highest price.

Just hold all your ETH because after recent correction which is not much compared to massive pump of over $200 within a month, price can easily shoot to over $500 within next few weeks.

Don't be panic and hold all your ETH, I am also holding mine.
At which price you have bought those ETH (average price per ETH).

ETH is not any shit altcoin that it would never recover. The price will rebound. So, no need to panic right now. Keep on holding unless you need your money. ETH is second most famous currency and is quite strong as well. If not in some days, then in some month price will return back to high thar is for sure.

Why do you think that we should sell ETH have a big back up supports and for sure it will make a bounce back we should consider and just hold wait and then enjoy the profits everything will be settled as whales will be there sooner when they seen panics.

Honestly It's better just to hold. I sold a lot of Eth thinking it's run was over the last few months and it just continues to go up.

LOL the price bounce back again, and i were buying a lot of ethereum at the bottom and thankse for those are selling the cheap ethereum token for me. To sell in your lost should be the worst idea if you are not consider the ethereum as a good future token.

ETH in fiat value is a strong HOLD for me. Many institutionals are rushing into the game and the result will be an asset inflation like we can see in other financial assets, too. Many hedge funds are still in funding phases and have not yet entered the crypto game. What we experience this year in crypto is like the so called Netscape moment at the beginning of the dot dom bubble where Netscape stocks were extremely overvalued because of their new never seen before innovative browser. This crypto bubble will pop, but not now. There will be monster gain rallies until 2018 imho.

I would definetly say hold. We all know ETH is not an ordinary coin that can fade away easily. It would be wise to trust the ETH because it will probably recover in a month or so. So don't panic and lose your money , just be patient and you will be fine.

No you should not sell it. Ethereum is not unstable currency and its not that big dip it has taken recently. The ether will rise again, I'm speculating the scenario where bitcoin is rising so much today and hence people are putting their money into bitcoin and might be trading ether for that. This might be one reason ether going down as people are selling it for bitcoin. But not to worry as ether has always been recovered itself as many ICO contacts are based on it. The ether is pretty good and popular altcoin as compared to any other coins in the market in terms of its recovery. It's like sister of bitcoin and rules the altcoin world according to me. So for now I'm surely holding my ether.

I keep holding all my Ethereum as ICO madness still keep growing, everyone will somehow lock away their coins into these projects or gonna burn their ethereum to send tokens away.

Ethereum is not going deep if you start buying it at januari 2017. It is still in very much profit.. why would i sell it. It still has a room to growrth..many ico coming. Many usefull project build on top of its blockchain..

It is an absolute normal pendular movement of the price at the moment. After a strong rise comes a small correction. If you are a daytrader or shorttermer, you can use these swings for collecting more coins, BTC, fiat ... whatever. But be aware: The next rise can come at any time and without advance warning.
Look at the period march - early june:
You see the same pattern. Strong, sudden, sustainable rise followed by a 10% correction. Then staying on this level for a couple of days followed by a strong, sudden, sustainable rise again ... and so on. To sell now might be not a good idea. I think it is too late, because the price won't decrease much further until the next rise will come in. But: Who knows... ? So many things can happen that every prediction yesterday could be nonsense tomorrow - including mine.

i am a BitcoinHodler so i care about my bitcoin hodlings. that means when ETH dumps down to 0.076BTC i have sold it a long time ago when it was still high to eliminate any damage to the amount of bitcoin i am hodling.

if you want to be successful in this market you have to act fast and eliminate all the emotions you have. there is no room for "hoping" a recovery for an altcoin. if you see drop then dump it as fast as possible and if you really believe in it, then buy at the bottom. never hold for "hope" in altcoins.

Take shelter and move everything to ETC. Hold till Christmas at least...

I'm holding my Ethereum. It's store of value, just like Bitcoin. Daily price changes don't affect me. I don't care about current price because Ethereum has long term value. Just like Bitcoin went from 150$ to 4500$ Ethereum will make similar move in 3-5 years at most. Why would I sell for such a low price now? That makes no sense.

I am going to hold my Ethereum bag. Not switching my bags arround all the time, cause its too much stress. In the long term ETH is going to see huge rises. Its just small correction in the next time, before we can lift off again.

i have sold my ETH bag when the first pump came after the bottom dump price of 0.007BTC and made my profit. then when the dump was done i started my short term trading of riding the pump and dump waves up and down to maximize my profit.
nothing has changed now either. i am still buying it whenever i feel we are at the bottom of the dump. these days i have not yet found the bottom of it so i am making profit from other altcoins instead while ETH is making up its mind.

I think a lot of the energy that has been into the entire crypto world over the past six months based on things like August 1st, and other changes have been made generally is petering out and that's showing on most of the coins that have been around for a while. Bitcoin obviously is holding fine but that is just based on the fact that people doing the values go up so obviously they're going to buy more.  Eth is down only because of the fact that BTC is increasing fast.

I would say the 20 most popular coin' beneath Bitcoin, when it comes to the past 6 months half of those have been riding Out on Just sheer energy alone. Now I'm comes time when a lot of this drama is in the past and for a new person coming into the investment Arena, they don't see anything is going to have been around for awhile that makes them want to get involved.

There's much newer projects and better projects and coins that have a much better future ahead of them. Sometimes the market driven by outside events that create enthusiasm and draw people in and they are looking for a specific coin.

Omg..why so many thread saying eth goin deep ? Did you see the ethereum price at january 2017 ? Or february ? Is it deep for people who bought at that time ? It is just small correction and ethereum already up so high. It is normal to coreection.

Yes this is a small correction which happens before it can take a new high . People who are patience veg rally hold in this market as this dip can be easily recovered in few hours itself as people will be looking to buy more at the dips and with  this there will be increase and price rises quickly .

I am not really a fan of selling coins not unless if I really need to, but I'd rather hold them and wait for its new ath again. If I remember it right, the last price of Ethereum went up to 0.10 I think (correct me if I'm wrong). And its price now goes back and forth around 0.07 - 0.08 so if I sell them now and it would reach a new ath in a couple of months or maybe end of this year, who knows what. Then I might regret my decision of selling them at its current price now.

Not an expert, but it depends upon your purchase price. This morning, I wanted to sell my ETH holdings that I purchased at high price (~388) a couple days ago, but in a hurry, I disabled my bittrexx account. Now I have to wait for 24 hrs until it gets unlocked. I Cant believe it takes 24 hrs to resolve a simple ticket. I guess I have to wait and watch my portfolio bleed to death. I guess my only choice is to keep it long term. If anyone knows a way around this issue, I will really appreciate it.

Now the price for ETN is really going down. However, at the same time, the price of bitcoins and other coins is lowered. This is a temporary correction of prices and this reduction will necessarily lead to their further growth. Therefore, there is no need to panic, it is still better to hold ETH coins and not to sell them.

Hold even eth is a really coin and has the a really good chance of reaching $1k by this year if you had purchased some shit coin i would have told you to sell but eth is a really good investment. Plus btc is down so alts will surely fall don't worry.
In order to cover your loss invest in few ico with ico normally ico has given me minumum 2 times the funds i invested with this you increase the amount of eth you are holding and reduce the current loss and increase future profit.

Still hold. Its just a minor down. It will go up again sooner or later. If you sell right now, it will just give you a big deficit instead of an earning even a small amount. It is better to earn even a few instead of losing money. There's a big difference between that obviously. Also, eth is a trusted cryptocurrency, so it will not fall short continuously. People behind it will find way to resolve any problem that will arise within the community in the present and the future.

I think it is a good time for buy many Eth. And people who have Eth i think it must hold it. Because Eth have a great future. Eth has potential to continue to grow. I believe in the end of this year the price of eth will be up.

Below $350, it's not a nice idea to sell ether. Why shall you sell something for cheap price?

If your cost is low for your ethers, you can try to sell them around $500 at least. They still see the potential on ether to hit $1000.

If you already lost then it is better to hold. Just believe to ETH it will surely recover in the following months.

Just holding most of your ETH (60%~80%) and for the rest do some daily trading, sell ETH at higher price and buy back at lower price again to reduce your lost money, that's maybe a good idea. For a long term, I think ETH still has huge potential, I will hold my ETH for at least 2 years.

i still hold my eth even if I see the price is down and I am thinking for buying more eth again but I need to calculate my balance first then I can decide later. I think you can buy more eth when the price is down like now or later because its your chance to increase your eth amount in your wallet and after that, you can wait for long term.

i sold my ETH a while ago because i predicted all the issues and the dumps that are coming these days and i am never willing to lose any of my precious bitcoins because they are invested in something like ETH which is dropping.

Holding at this point seems little risky to me after China ban on ICO first and now on exchanges. This seems to be a little worry and panic will definitely be created in market because of the biggest player in the market China banning is a huge concern this will put huge selling pressure and due to which market ideally will be going down. In my opinion, I think Ethereum can reach to $1,000 in this year if it can changes to PoS earlier than schedule and complete + the gorwth of ICO market. Therefore, the risk when we buy Ethereum usually lower than other altcoins.

ETH is the most convincing altcoin for me to hold long time. If we suffer losses today, stick with it that one day we will pass red dot and gain a good profit from holding with patience. if we've known eth a long time, surely we become more calm without the need to feel panic want to sell.

I think you should hold, there is no point in selling for a loss, I think in the next months bitcoin is going to go lower in value and ETH is going to appreciate, if you want to get out of ETH that could be the moment but I think you made a mistake by buying when the price was at its highest point.

This is a very usual and normal thing when the price are going down on a bull run its definitely not a good time to sell. And like the old times, I know that this thing will happen again and again, I'll hold. You lost $10,000 already. There is no point selling with that huge amount of loss. You need to stay away from your panic selling tendency and hold. That is one of the reasons why so many new-entrants to the trading platforms are losing because every time there is a serious dip they try to avoid confronting them head on. That is normal. Well this dip has been going on for more than a week now (started last Saturday, before the China ICO news). I'm wondering how much longer this is going to take...

Fewer patience will make our losses lessened. And patience in holding more longer on eth will result very good wages. All that is happening is twists of world in relation to everything that has value. Trust me eth is a reliable investment.

I think the ETH price will continue to fall as the Chinese market is constantly posting bad news about ICO and other issues, which makes ETH price difficult to rise in the next few months but the future of ETH will certainly continue to increase.

There was all the China Banning on ICO stuff a couple of Days, plus the market was indeed overextended upwards. This could be a good opportunity to buy I am waiting, my opinion though.

China banned ICOs (or exchanges?) back in 2013 for a few days. But they canceled the ban a few days later...

What makes you think that Ethereum is a good bet at this time when every country is trying to cripple the ICO and curtail certain things to restrict the free flow of money,the price of Ethereum shot really high simply because of the free flow of projects they had and that wont be the case in the future,so i am in two minds whether to grab it at all.

ETH is going down at a moment so I am holding my existing coins and instead of selling at dump I am trying to buy some more coins and saving it till the end of the year as I think that price will bounce back once again so even if its going down at a moment there is nothing to get worried or get panic as it will start going higher once again in future.

I dont think they need update for ETH now. they just need fix some bug on create token and security bug.

Ethereum Metropolis release is coming later this month so that should cause price to rally.

In trading generally, the best time to sell is when everyone else is buying and the market seems bullish and when to buy is when everyone else is panic selling and the market seems bearish.

Those are the two best discipline to follow up trades. Don't go with the crowd, flow with the trend.

This downward trend is going to be a temporary one and if you watch the price since yesterday you will understand that prices is making correction across most of the altcoins board. Ethereum may get to  $800 before end of this year and by then I will think of selling.

There is no need to hold eth right now when it is dumping badly. Eth just apparently seems a good project for investment, if we ever see its true colors I am sure no one is ever again going to make any investment into this coin. I was previously holding eth but now sold and bought waves.

You must not forget that bitcoin is doing its own improvements too and it is not sitting still while other coins are also improving, and finally no one will cry when ETH reaches 0.1 BTC that will not even be an all time high, the all time high was 0.14 BTC.

Holding any altcoin for a long term can be risky as price can crash at any point of time so its better to sell them off when you are making enough profits from it and buy it back when price goes down no doubt ETH is a promising coin but buying and selling at a right time is a great way to make regular profits.

I think it is best time to get rid of this shitty coin. It is going to dump hard in the coming years and I know people are panic selling at the moment. Eth is a real loser among digital currencies and I think soon it is going to disappear from the crypto world. No need to hold this coin anymore.
