I'm looking for a Finance Manager program for the Mac (Mountain Lion, no Windows environment and don't want to have). No need for professional software with integrated live data and prognoses, just wanting to keep track of basic balance(-s), transactions done and pending, with or without tables and charts. Only Btc for now but maybe in the future also different cryptocurrencies.

I've only just started with Btc, but after a few weeks and the same few transactions, the "what, where, when & for how much" already starts to get confusing. Of course I can keep one eye on my wallet but would prefer to start with a program that keeps track of it all, before the data gets too much and the table is covered in little notes.

I have the programs Numbers, Moneydance and deep down, stashed away, FileMaker Pro (only used this for other non-finance databases long time ago). Has anyone of you good (or bad) experiences with any of these programs, or can anyone recommend a better alternative?

I would just go with a custom Excel setup with maybe some use of Access to. If you are good with formula and can read up a little bit on Excel, you should have everything that you want, built to how you want it. I could also whip up something for you, but the thing with doing an custom Excel program is it does take time, money and are normally designed for people who want specific function and are willing to pay for such design.

Hah... Excels pops up. I see I can use Excel data in Numbers. No, I'm not good with formulas at all but tonight I will read up on the combi Excel and Mac... Thanks for the reply!
