If you are referring to Claymore's Dual Miner it basically boils down to mining one coin that utilizes a hashing algorithm that primarily memory intensive and another coin using a more calculation heavy algorithm. The primary one is usually Ethereum (at least with Claymore) and the second one something like Decred (DCR), Siacoin (SC) or Pascal (PASC). The miner's affinity toward the secondary can adjusted towards the secondary to some degree. Thanks This software is the only one who permit you to mine 2 cryptocurrencies at the same time, with a good hashrate for the two (very near than full hashrate for the first : Ethereum and a bood hashrate for the second : Decred, Lbry, SiaCoin, Pascal...). This is possible because some crytos use more the GPUs units (calculations) and some others use more the memory (GPU memory). |
