When Britain leaves the EU we'll have UKCoin A fast and secure method of transacting throughout the world with ease and no issue's. There will be no Governmental interference so all who proceed will benefit, We intend to keep this as a Viable replacement for UK. With this coin we can rid of the Bank control and gain back what is rightfully our's without forking how much out in rising Tax & Vat prices every year as the government has decided our economy is going badly.

Ok as I said some more info of what to come is here.

Paper's
1'st - Whitepaper's               (roughly 10 days time)
2'nd - Infrastructure Improvements (roughly 14 days time)
3'rd - Security Code Improvements Via Other means. (roughly 18 days time)

The Planned Update will be in (roughly 21 days time)

The update will contain a few look changes along with more nodes & checkpoints, We will also be implementing secp256k1 into our code base along with hopefully adding the ability to lock the application whilst it is closed or running but more to come of this in the next few weeks.

Thanks for your following and patience.

Dev, it was better if you provided more nodes, instead of pools. Found few block in solo with one synced connection and they disappeared :(

Hi UKCoinDev!

Great news regarding the masternode!

I couldn't find much info about the project, the team behind it and so on: how many members do you are? Or, it's just you? Do you work on your local machine and upload on GIT only from time to time? Do you have a website dedicated to UKCoin? I can help you in this direction.

Thanks for your time!

How many coins needed for Master Node?

This is a good question because i am thinking of buying this crypto when i get some btc. I hope this is not hype for masternodes like other cryptos, first i like to see some developments and then dev should implement masternodes. I think it is to early right now when this crypto has nothing for it at the moment. I will be watching with interest.

1. go here: https://de.dll-files.com/libwinpthread-1.dll.html

2. download zip file and extract libwinpthread-1.dll to windows\system32 (administrator permission needed)

problem solved :)

If you have Windows, go to the %appdata% folder. Find the UKcoin folder in there and create a ukcoin.conf file and paste this into it.

If you have Windows, go to the %appdata% folder. Find the UKcoin folder in there and create a ukcoin.conf file and paste this into it.

Many thanks.

Any time. Now to just find a good pool to start getting some. :)

Any news on the master node?

I have tried several pools and some aren't even on correct chain/block. Not sure I will continue with this coin at that rate.

Pools are rejecting shares being submitted as pool owners don't want to have anything in common with coins presented as and essentially looking like a security. These are often not welcomed and mostly rejected by pools and exchanges at the first hint of being a security. This will be fixed in a couple of years but not now.

Ok so the White Paper & Update will be released together instead of the previous time frame, so expect it sooner.

Things are moving nicely

Two answers which would help grow the community and bring new people here:
1. Can you tell us an approximate time when the whitepaper will be ready?
2. Are the masternodes functional already?

Thanks!

I will stop because this project is a scam/joke :

It's a recycling of a 2014 project that went rogue : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=519571.0

UKC is worth the minimum possible : 0.00000001 BTC : https://www.coinexchange.io/market/UK/BTC

Hei Eduard,

I saw the topic before investing in the coin. BUT, just because there were some conflicts and the project didn't succeed on the first time doesn't mean it cannot go this time. Give it a chance, guys. If i am aware of dev good intentions, it will succeed. Be positive.

Cheers!

This coin caught my attention. Seems interesting to be honest. The dev is active and is updating the group with the developments/plans which is good. With masternodes being the talk of the town I am sure this is currently being worked upon.Looking forward to further development news.

Have a nice day.

Does you wallet say you staking? or maybe you not have a lot of coins to earn stake so it will take long time to stake like with me because i not have much coins staking. I think i stake in the next 3 days, i want to see how much coins i earn with my 1st stake.

Currently synced and staking but only getting 1 connection??

Created UKCoin.config and placed this in %appdata%\Roaming\UKCoin with add nodes in there?

Also trying to mine using AMD has not been successful, anyone care to share their miner / pool information so we can try again?

Thanks!

Wallet need for libwinpthread-1.dll, where download it for windows 7 x64?
TNX!

When attempting to DL wallet from here https://mega.nz/#!e9hjGAhA!pJwVsTlV-IjY7SPEQ2_E64X_9jARY8BLeRGjlZxYFHk and launch...

Everyone is now receiving the following error:

The code execution cannot proceed because libwinpthread-1.dll was not found.
Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

Any advisement?

if you want your wallet dont working, download the missing file:
https://de.dll-files.com/download/1e0d62c34ff2e649ebc5c372065732ee/libwinpthread-1.dll.html?c=Rzg3RmVERVhSempXTzVGU0NtbDNOZz09

Thank you very much!
I used a different source to download the file, but it worked nonetheless.
Didn't realize it essentially meant I was missing a system file. Duh.

my wallet works fine now!

Has somebody else the "problem" that the weight in the tooltip doesn't increase? With other coins the number increases over time and estimates how long until the next stake. Here, I am already 2 days on the same network weight. Anyone else with this behaviour?

Yeah it is running 24/7 on a dedicated server with an unlocked wallet. Therefore the question, if somebody who already got stakes can give me some feedback.

Yeah, thinks you dont wanna do. I still think it has way up potential because he seemed very active until now. Anyway looking for beta testers, (maybe tests something and) get the blockchain stuck is something which shouldn't happen. If it happens, a fast response that he is working on a solution or at least knows what's happend would have been great.

if someone has the necessary sources installed they can compile the new version from github. I don't have all that's needed or the time.

Quote
UKCoin-qt: Qt5 GUI for UKCoin
===============================

Build instructions
===================

Debian
-------

First, make sure that the required packages for Qt5 development of your
distribution are installed, for Debian and Ubuntu these are:

::

    apt-get install qt5-default qt5-qmake qtbase5-dev-tools qttools5-dev-tools \
        build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
        libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
        libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev

then execute the following:

::

    qmake
    make

Alternatively, install Qt Creator and open the `UKCoin-qt.pro` file.

An executable named `UKCoin-qt` will be built.

Windows
--------

Windows build instructions:

- Download the `QT Windows SDK`_ and install it. You don't need the Symbian stuff, just the desktop Qt.

- Compile openssl, boost and dbcxx.

- Open the .pro file in QT creator and build as normal (ctrl-B)

.. _`QT Windows SDK`: http://qt-project.org/downloads

Mac OS X
--------

- Download and install the `Qt Mac OS X SDK`_. It is recommended to also install Apple's Xcode with UNIX tools.

- Download and install `MacPorts`_.

- Execute the following commands in a terminal to get the dependencies:

::

   sudo port selfupdate
   sudo port install boost db48 miniupnpc

- Open the .pro file in Qt Creator and build as normal (cmd-B)

.. _`Qt Mac OS X SDK`: http://qt-project.org/downloads
.. _`MacPorts`: http://www.macports.org/install.php

Build configuration options
============================

UPNnP port forwarding
---------------------

To use UPnP for port forwarding behind a NAT router (recommended, as more connections overall allow for a faster and more stable UKCoin experience), pass the following argument to qmake:

::

    qmake "USE_UPNP=1"

(in **Qt Creator**, you can find the setting for additional qmake arguments under "Projects" -> "Build Settings" -> "Build Steps", then click "Details" next to **qmake**)

This requires miniupnpc for UPnP port mapping.  It can be downloaded from
http://miniupnp.tuxfamily.org/files/.  UPnP support is not compiled in by default.

Set USE_UPNP to a different value to control this:

+------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| USE_UPNP=- | no UPnP support, miniupnpc not required;                                 |
+------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| USE_UPNP=0 | (the default) built with UPnP, support turned off by default at runtime; |
+------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| USE_UPNP=1 | build with UPnP support turned on by default at runtime.                 |
+------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Notification support for recent (k)ubuntu versions
---------------------------------------------------

To see desktop notifications on (k)ubuntu versions starting from 10.04, enable usage of the
FreeDesktop notification interface through DBUS using the following qmake option:

::

    qmake "USE_DBUS=1"

Generation of QR codes
-----------------------

libqrencode may be used to generate QRCode images for payment requests.
It can be downloaded from http://fukuchi.org/works/qrencode/index.html.en, or installed via your package manager. Pass the USE_QRCODE
flag to qmake to control this:

+--------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| USE_QRCODE=0 | (the default) No QRCode support - libarcode not required                 |
+--------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| USE_QRCODE=1 | QRCode support enabled                                                   |
+--------------+--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Berkely DB version warning
==========================

A warning for people using the *static binary* version of UKCoin on a Linux/UNIX-ish system (tl;dr: **Berkely DB databases are not forward compatible**).

The static binary version of UKCoin is linked against libdb 5.0 (see also `this Debian issue`_).

Now the nasty thing is that databases from 5.X are not compatible with 4.X.

If the globally installed development package of Berkely DB installed on your system is 5.X, any source you
build yourself will be linked against that. The first time you run with a 5.X version the database will be upgraded,
and 4.X cannot open the new format. This means that you cannot go back to the old statically linked version without
significant hassle!

.. _`this Debian issue`: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=621425

Ubuntu 11.10 warning
====================

Ubuntu 11.10 has a package called 'qt-at-spi' installed by default.  At the time of writing, having that package
installed causes UKCoin-qt to crash intermittently.  The issue has been reported as `launchpad bug 857790`_, but
isn't yet fixed.

Until the bug is fixed, you can remove the qt-at-spi package to work around the problem, though this will presumably
disable screen reader functionality for Qt apps:

::

    sudo apt-get remove qt-at-spi

.. _`launchpad bug 857790`: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qt-at-spi/+bug/857790

Important for UKC holder

It look like the difficulty of pos rising so high, so blockchain is stuck.

I consult to people and someone suggest me to make the diff lower, he suggest me to inform all holder to close their ukc wallet.

So, please close your UKC wallet to lower the difficulty. We will see if it help.

I tried to build the wallet with the last commits on windows. But it didn't work. Either its because i'm not really a c++ specialist or because there is a bug.

I'm getting the following error when trying it on cmd:

D:\Entwicklung\UKCoin\src>D:\MinGW\bin\mingw32-make -f makefile.mingw
mingw32-make: *** No rule to make target 'obj/alert.o', needed by 'UKCoind.exe'.  Stop.

And when i try it with Qt creator i get:

mingw32-c++.exe: fatal error: no input files
compilation terminated.

(with mingw32-c++.exe as compiler, and qt-opensource-windows-x86-msvc2013_opengl-5.3.2).

Does anybody know why it is not working?

I'm growing a PoS fever, so this is interesting. Regrettably I'm not near my miners now, so can't mine a few to go PoS.

I'm awaiting the whitepaper though. Really interested to see if this project is for real, and serious in its efforts, instead of another drop in the bucket of coins no one cares for ;)

A few more days, fingers crossed 🤞

They KNOW what must be going thru our minds right now...but dont seem to give a S.

Meanwhile, "Someone" seems to be dumping it to the ground..

You're not wrong. If this isn't a scam coin, then the dev is going about things the wrong way. The community makes or breaks a coin, just look at onion, huge community engagement and currently flying!

You may struggle to sell your coins if the blockchain is stuck and your coins are not already on the exchange. I'm think of dumping my coins too, this is not looking good!

I think give the dev at least until tomorrow when there's supposed to be be beta testers. We'll see what happens.

As said before, a dev  (not from this project) looked into it and said probably the difficutly raised to much. If everybody would close their wallet, it may get unstuck. That's the only thing we can do and wait. I am still positive that the dev will come back and explain everything. Don't forget people have real life and it's so easy to get trashed in this forums, I understand why some just try to fix errors without notice, even though I really don't like this approach at all!

so crazy.
never thought the chain could just freeze...
and we don't even have a block explorer to check wallets and so on...
it'd be great to communicate with the people who hold this coin
heard some guy saying that it was possible to make the chain move again if people closed their wallets, because this can be because the difficult raised too much.

if this IS  a scam...then it wouldnt surprise me that its been frozen on purpose...so that "Someone" can sell to ALL the buyers on their own... WITHOUT any competition from US...before "wrapping it up"... knowing that our coins would be stuck in our wallets ^^"

Not saying this is the case.... but, just saying ^^"

If it IS him selling.. just take a look at how much hes made so far @ 1 sat.

I wouldnt be complaining ^^"

IF its a scam...ur not aiming to raise it to 100 sat or anything...

U just need a coin with blocks that pay 1000s at a time....then sell it off for 1-3 sat...then youve made ALOT of btc.

According to UKCoinDEV time zone, he is -1 UTC time. This means he is somewhere in Greenland/ Iceland/ Ireland/ Portugal carajo/ Basque zone of Spain or West Africa (Senegal, Mauritania/ Guineea)

Wherever the dev is, better show up and clarify the things. I bet he can find 3 minutes to log in and respond to some of questions already asked here.

Either go to moon, either find another project. Nuff' said.

I think you can set your settings to not show when you're online.

Analysis on picture seems to be legit.

What an interesting website. Thanks for that.

Anyway. Printscreen could be old but i wouldn't see the point for it

As we are in crypto i don't doubt

Probably the best is wait a bit more and see what dev says. If he comes back. Or check if the chain the back on the movement

Really need another forum other than Bitcointalk.

One that requires verification from ANY dev that wants to start a thread.

Such a forum would overrun bitcointalk i reckon. For trust worthiness.

not sure if this would be the solution cause even projects focused on anonimity like deeponion works well here
and the forum here is quite good

the problem is not realy the platform but the people using it

would love to have more transparency from dev as well to know about our coins on wallet.

hopefully will have it solved at least til next week.

True

But the New forum could keep those details confidential.

And If something like this occurred, then with enough complaints from that threads community... the forum moderators could then review the thread themselves.... and if the concerns look valid... could give the dev a warning email... letting them know that they have "so many" days left...to reply. And if no acceptable communication is made within that time period...THEN out comes the can of whoop ass ^^"

Have heard lot of people talking about the block issue and I believe this isn't fixed yet. Last message that I read stated that dev is busy preparing whitepaper. I know whitepaper is important but then I personally feel that that can wait when the users are facing wallet/block issue. When there are too many important things to accomplish, I think the next thing we need to ask ourselves is what's my priority. One should not let the investors suffer because they are the ones that decide the future of any project.

I just hope that dev prioritizes his plan of action and come over to help with existing issues that people are facing.

People here are not just people but pillars/foundation of this project.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I've just tryied my linux wallet (daemon version) and it worked. It's syncing. It's compiled with UPNP so it will add node after few sec that it's started. You can add these node in your conf file.

addnode=52.88.118.126:14354
addnode=107.150.7.122:60642
addnode=104.251.218.157:14354
addnode=107.150.7.122:36722
addnode=198.187.28.11:14354
addnode=107.150.7.122:59328
addnode=134.255.232.126:14354
addnode=107.150.7.122:58992
addnode=31.214.149.95:14354
addnode=107.150.7.122:56524

I can't try the qt version, but is generated with the same source code of the daemon, so it will work for sure  8)

Tried it under ubuntu 16.04 didn't get it to run. I guess the mismatch of the boost libraries, 1.55 and 1.58 are creating the error. I will try your windows suggestion too, but I am pretty sure I will run in a ton of dependency issues.

Edit: Yeah, running it under windows needs the same dependencies, but apt-get is buggy and if you install the libdb_cxx-5.3.so the command line dies with Chinese characters.

Check on the exchange that have the updated wallet.  Here you can find the peer. Novaexchange is the last line, coinexchange in the top-right (peers).
Just copy and paste the node into your *.conf file

I think coin exchange still has the same problem because my withdrawal is still stuck. I can try to get it on Linux running not before Friday, so I really for good news until then. Thank you for your help CenturionMiner. At least I think there is a little chance to get the coins back on the exchange to sell them now.

Well it was a no go on the new version. I got it compiled. It errors out when you close it but it does work. It still gets stuck syncing though.

I tried renaming my APPdata/UKcoin folder to prevent any old settings from loading too and it didn't help.

Then copy your wallet and or config to the new appdata folder.

I would be cautious for now...until we hear something SOLID from the Dev. Why hes taking so long to post something , is beyond me.

I dont know anything about "compound coin"...but...if this were a SCAM coin... and everyone realized it, and stopped buying UKC...what would i do to sell off the rest of the SCAM coins?

I would announce a "coin swap".

This would lure people to buy up the remaining UKC on the exchange, in order to make the "swap".

Careful guys.

I think they mentioned something about the transaction fee which can be traced. I am glad somebody tries to salvage this project because by now the possibility that the dev comes back is very low.

So for who have this coin on CoinExchange.io I recommend to open a ticket for they to allow us to withdrawn our UKCoin even if wallet isn' t syncing.
Also for Compound Coin team, would be nice to work with CoinExhcange.io to allow us to convert it to Compound Coin, there is a lot of UKCoin in that exchange that can become Compound Coin.

We would be happy to allow withdrawals but the last block we saw was 18th of September so withdrawals are highly likely not to get broadcast properly.

Unless the chain is fixed and preferably a block explorer is provided (which really should not be hard) there is little we can do at this stage unfortunately.

There is no way to make UKC transactions go through again?

There isn't and the dev was online on the 10th of October and not bothered to answer. This was a scam all the way. I don't know if you can still swap to comp, but if it is still available, I would recommend that to anybody. If your coins already stuck in a transaction, you have bad luck.

chain is frozen on uk so probably was best to have it still on exchange and try to negotiate with COMP team, but they gave like a wholemonth to swap...

Technically you could of left the chain there and just opened the new wallet as there has not been any forks. So the chain will work with the new V2 Client.

If you have deleted the chain tho just open your wallet wait for it to connect then it will start downloading the chain

Current Height -> 50283

I think you still have a problem, as soon as nobody uses POW, the chain doesn't move. So maybe think about giving a POW reward until fixing this error, so the coin can be used.

I can surely think about that.

Do you have any specific amount per block, Pref not too high I have something like 1 - 10 per block ??

I think you have to try, but I would recommend starting high and slowly decline in reward. That would enable your coin to get some attention back. It is obviously really painful to see the chain not moving again!

thaks sir..by the way, any discord or telegram group for UKcoin?

Not that I know!

Dear dev, could you please enable POW and start with anything that miners start mining again until only PoS is stable? Thank you very much!

Yep will do, looking to change the reward from 0 to 100 per block for miners. will report back when done.
