Title: looking for a list of exchanges that are not crap...
Post by: spamsucks on September 07, 2017, 01:31:47 AM
So at this point, I see bad things coming for yobit, with all the withdrawal problems, the non existent customer service... I got banned from chat for some unknown reason,
and there is no point in opening a ticket to ask why, as its a 2 week process if you get a reply at all...

Where do you all trade?

Every time I see anyone talking about an exchange I hear 10 people saying that one sucks, and you will get ripped off and i told you so...

Now is the big chance... what is a good exchange I can move to?

For all I know, Bittrex and Poloniex are the two most used by almost all of the traders. It's currently the most trusted one too. But since they are most trusted exchange out there, they restrict coins and token that are on it and they make sure that only the best and trusted coins will only be putted on them.
Anyway, I recommend to stay away from yobit since it's one of the worst exchanges out there where almost all of the worthless coins are putted on it and some are already shitcoin that has no value.

If you ask me, BTC-e was the best one out there. But now they are gone. They had no ID verification requirement, and they were never hacked (probably due to the reason that the owners themselves were renowned hackers). For now, I would suggest exchanges such as Bittrex and Cryptopia. But their fee is a bit high. I would never recommend Poloniex, as I am hearing a lot of complaints about them.

hahaha. That didn't quite help them apparently, in the long run.

It depends on what coins you are exchanging for example if you wanna exchange your waves then waves dex would be the most trusted exchange for it and etherdelta for ether since those are the built in exchange for those.
If you wanna exchange almost all the coins out there they I suggest to use bittrex since it's the most trusted and most efficient way to exchange your coin. But not all coins are on bittrex though so you might wanna use other exchange for some altcoin because bittrex only include altcoins that are the best and trusted.

A few exchanges which i have been trading in are Bittrex, Poloniex, Livecoin, Cryptopia and Bitfinex.
Bitfinex had experienced a hacking incident and poloniex is undergoing a lot of issues these days. So i wouldn't recommend them.
Livecoin and Cryptopia are small exchanges and could be considered as an alternative. So the best one till date is Bittrex.
It has satisfied me in every aspect starting from its interface to its trading experience. Its good in all the ways.

I had no problems with Poloniex and Bittrex so far with all of my outgoing and ingoing transactions and their support can be contacted through slack if ever you have a problem with something on the website. Those two are my most common exchanges I used constantly, so I think its safe to say those two are the most secure exchanges in my opinion.

It depends which region you live in. I'm in the U.S. --I trade on Bittrex, Poloniex, Kraken and Cryptopia. Bittrex so far has been great, they handled the BCC/BCH distribution almost flawlessly whereas other exchanges had hiccups, and they keep their users up to date on a consistent basis. Tickets get answered within a day or two.

I know many traders on Twitter who have had issues with Poloniex, and while there were some shady-ness going on there (delayed responses to support tickets, too much wallet maintenance, long withdraw times, etc.), I have had no issues with them. I actually submitted a support ticket the other day and received a response within 24 hours. Granted, my issue was minor.

With 2FA always enabled, Bittrex is your safest bet at the moment, but it's better to be on multiple exchanges than just one, if you can.

bittrex, poloniex liqui and binance. but don't forget about etherdelta too.  :D Butyou can see the more detail in the coinmarketcap which already provided yours about all of the list of the exchange site with the daily trade volume. I think bitfinex still to be the best right now.

Have you been hiding under a rock? Everything you needs to know about BTC-E can be found in this forum being posted from their main account ~ I must however point out that everything they post is in full Russian.

You can either use a translator to do the job, or browse through the 'BTC-e hacked ??' in the exchanges section of this forum. It contains a decent bit of information ~ search for it. ;)

Regarding OP ~ I seriously don't understand why people use an exchange such as Yobit. It's an exchange purely attracting noobs due to the sheer number of shitcoins without any future perspective.

If you want to trade altcoins anyway, stick to exchanges such as Bittrex. A while ago I would recommend Poloniex as well, but due to their problems I can't recommend this exchange to anyone anymore.

i am using bittrex from a long time and i think it is perfect exchange and has a huge number of currencies of it and has almost all the currencies on the coin market cap discluding some currencies. yeah the transaction fee is little bit high but it is really trusted one to use and it security is really good your investment will be secure.

They got the ultimate hack from the US government.

The thing is that you only hear doom and gloom from a very vocal minority, everyone else is happy enough. A lot of the time said complaints are down to their own stupidity.

However the sheer weight of complaints about certain places can't be ignored. Poloniex works fine until you have a problem, then their total non communication becomes a serious problem.

Of all the exchanges out there the least complaints I've heard about are Gemini. Maybe that's because it doesn't have enough users. I dunno.

the mainstream platforms are Bitfinex and Poloniex

If you are looking for leveraged buys/sells with margin, you can checkout whaleclub.io

Bitfinex are unregulated and there's no way of getting fiat in or out there. Poloniex might freeze you for months and not tell you why. Whaleclub has had multiple accusations of fraud against it.

but if you dont have fiat, dont they not ever ask you to verify your ID?

Bitfinex? That certainly used to be the case, I'm totally not sure if it is now. And if you're American then you're toast anyway. They're getting rid of all of them.

You can hardly find an exchange that perfectly fits everyone. No matter how reputable the money service is, there are always loads of negative stuff about it...
To all the above mentioned exchanges I would also add Cex.io. Well-functioning platform with simple interface and useful features for trading. However, make sure your country is supported. Cex.io is international but still has restrictions for some countries.
