So what good is it with the difficulty sky high.  Only 6 blocks added to the blockchain 3 days ago, 3 blocks on 5-23, 1 block yesterday and none so far today. Can't trade without miners working.

Last time someone pointed a ASIC/server farm at BTE it took weeks for the difficulty to return to a workable level. Three days after that the ASIC was back and kicked the difficulty up to it's present level. Do you imagine that once it finally comes down again, the creep that is apparently doing this just for fun won't get on for a few hours again and bump it up just to screw everyone?

Good to see you back up! I must admit that I also called you a scammer but after 10 days of the exchange in maintenance with out any updates you where acting like a scam and I called a pot a pot.
I have still got my 1600+ bytecoins in the system but I am missing my .54 BTC from my buy orders. I have re listed a 1000 or so for sale and tried to withdraw the balance of around 600 to my wallet but after only God knows how long you where in maintenance I can not because the database is throwing errors [ great maintenance there ]. So I am still in two minds over your honesty.
Noel

The issue is that the block time is around 24hrs with 1k+ till readjust.  This coin is dead if the network rate doesnt imporve drastically.

6 days to confirm a transaction is a joke.

Network difficulty       35,794
Estimated next difficulty       2,504
Network hashrate       17.93 GH/s
Total blocks in network       18,329
Blocks until next retarget       1,831

I am offering 2,000 BTE for a merged mining patch bounty and for everyone to agree on the fork.
All of you will need to setup your own p2pool to merged mine. Or pools like Bitparking will likely join VERY quickly. You can't use mine since mine will only pay in BTC. And help me fork the blockchain.

Bytecoin will be dead soon without this.

Blockchain fork NOT a good idea. You will be screwing everyone using the standard BTE wallet who doesn't want to ride your pink horse.

Forking is required for merged mining. I feel like this coin is dead without merged mining. No one loses anything though. Vote with your hash power.

I repeat, forking the blockchain is NOT a a good idea. Neither is changing the wallet code to match your scheme. BTE is worth next to nothing now and will still be so after your attempt to breathe life into it falls flat. Do you really think a going exchange will take on BTE because you've managed to generate some hype about a new and improved blockchain?

You seem to be missing the point. There's not much mining right now making confirmations take days. With merged mining we will see blocks generated all day.

Exchanges aren't the priority. It's getting transactions moving and stable mining.
