Title: [Poll] Which Community Seems Most Promising
Post by: moreporknz on May 26, 2013, 03:48:07 AM
Since it seems that there are 3 possible contenders for Vircurex, I wanted to poll which coin seems like the community has the most potential  based on number of posts/members, and amount effort from the communities.  These three coins are known for their fast transaction times and fast difficulty retargets, making them favorable options for use as currency and as competitive mining options.

These coins are still in early days in regards to community, be good to give them some constructive feedback so they can grow also :)

GLD - gldcointalk.org (http://gldcointalk.org)
WDC - worldcoinforum.org (http://worldcoinforum.org)

If you have time, please comment why you picked that option and maybe what your community could do to make your choice of coin even better.

PXC.  But not interested in it being on an exchange yet.

PHX.  But not interested in it being on an exchange yet.

I left PHX out intentionally, due to having their own exchange soon

Got ya.  Then in that case I'll abstain my vote ;)

I can add PXC to polls if vircurex is on their watchlist?

It would make sense for it to be added after the official PXC exchange is completed.

Interesting result so far, I didn't vote for the leader, as I had never been to their forum website so I couldn't give an honest opinion. I have now and I can see why they are in the lead.

Does this make sense to anyone?

Let's compare:
- A coin launched with high rewards and massive amount of people with a stake at the early stage to a coin that purposefully took a slow approach with low early rewards. Both at their early stage.
- A couple of forums that don't represent the community and are days old.
- Communities in a community based on the activity of that community in another community.

indeed all these coins are new, but are they even ready for vircurex?  This is an ongoing poll and nothing is expected to be taken as gospel after 1 day :)

Advantages of not being on a bigger exchange is everyone has the opportunity to be early adopters at a lower price (if indeed these coins are successful in the future).  From last few days I've noticed day1 of coin released on exchange = dump.  Now the prices are 5-10x less in value.  But now there is very little sell volume at current prices - I have had buy offers on all 3 coins last 24hours and my orders have been very slow to fill.

It would be nice to launch a decent coin without going to an exchange... but it seems those days are over for the ones that show early signs of potential.
