Assuming Bitcoin network is Earth-based, confirmation of a transaction conducted at a nearest star (Proxima Centauri) will take 8.44 years, whereas gold or US Dollar can be exchanged instantly at any location. How can we overcome that limitation? Luke? Title: Re: Interplanetary trade Post by: Phinnaeus Gage on May 26, 2013, 08:42:41 AM My friends at the Trade Federation expressed a concern. How can we overcome that limitation? Luke? Stamp the worthless gold with a Bitcoin address and send. When the message is received instantly, the recipient can throw away the gold. Same true with the useless dollar, but instead of tossing it, burn it to generate heat since bitcoin miners now run close to absolute zero.
