Thank you for sharing.

Amazing to see global trade growth on localbitcoins as well (scroll down to see all the individual countries:

Another strong solution that will make bitcoin's decentralization stronger is cross-chain atomic swaps! Decentralized trade without fiat.

The site looks quite appealing to me but I wonder what kind of a domain .network is ?  The peer to peer based exchange looks promising to me but I wonder whether it would be a successful one . It is still in a Beta stage and needs a lot of advertising. It might actually be a good option for chinese traders as it is p2p. There are already other p2p crypto exchanges so what does it make different from the others ?

Also, would this work for those within the China firewall?

Good you can access it on your phone, but I wonder what sort of access is available from China itself.

The Chinese firewall blocks this bitcointalk.org website as well as VPNs, right? That's why you don't see too many CHinese here.

Roadmap (https://bisq.network/roadmap/):
Quote
Alpha Version 0.3.5
Released March 11th 2016

New payment methods: National bank transfer, Transfer with same bank, Transfer with specific bank
And there's the problem: what good does trading crypto do you, if you can't transfer to and from your local bank? Because there's no doubt the government can close that connection.

Those who are Chinese and in the business circles understand opportunity within threat, and this is exactly what's happening with Bisq. I think it was really unfortunate that Localbitcoins were supposedly named in the list of exchanges to be banned, seeeing as they were originally excluded as a P2P exchange. This wouldn't then explain why BISQ were left alone though.

Good news all around, and a cheer for p2p (loyal LBC user and new bisq user here).

Bisq, the Decentralized Bitcoin Exchange

Chris Beams joins the show to talk about Bisq, the P2P decentralized Bitcoin exchange and open-source desktop application that allows you to buy and sell bitcoins in exchange for national currencies, or alternative crypto currencies. We get some background on the issues faced by crypto exchanges like CoinBase, and the now defunkt Mt. Gox. We discuss whether or not Bitcoin is a censorship resistant payment system and what it means to have anonymous transaction currency options. Bisq also has an interesting white paper about its own DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) to support its contributors and we discuss that in detail at the end of the episode.

Nice "spam bump". But I support Bisq's use and have been doing my part in letting everyone in the forum know about it. Having spammers coming along and do the common good won't hurt. Hahaha.

If there are people from China and India reading this, go to https://bisq.network/, download the client and see if it's something for you.
