Samsung Galaxy S8 plus vs Note 8


Which one would you go for, I'm using an S8 plus right now, it's nice...but I hear the Note 8 calling

Note 8 is in stores now...Anyone have or mess with both?

i had a look over both. the s8 plus looked like the sweet spot size wise to me. the note 8 was just that little bit larger than practical. the note 8 also has a smaller battery. i'd stick with the plus myself.

If you had searched the specifications of both S8 and N8 before this post, you must have seen how similar they are. There are three major preferences that must match in order for you to decide what to choose. First one is the screen size, second one is the battery life, and the third one is the capability to write on your screen. I for one would go for N8.

OH man first world problems indeed. My answer would be to stay with your phone because it aint broke. And the saying goes "if it aint broke, dont fix it". That is not something I just say

too, I have and LOVE my iphone 5. I will use it until the die he cannot be used anymore. Gonna hodl that iphone 5 until the end, just like my bitties  ;D

For me - the best option is Note 8 - because I like the bigger screen and pen feature. Also I've been using Note III for a while - it was an amazing phone :)

Especially Note 8. Note series are best Samsung phones. Don't think, buy and have fun! :)

I think I'd go with Note 8 with a wider screen and with a pen. But if you want a better battery life, go to S8 plus. But I guess there is just a little bit difference of the two.

Note 8 of you are a multitasker, it is easier to do task anywhere compared to s8. If you are always on the go and prefer to do your work comfortably then  I suggest note 8 for you.

to be honest, I would go for S8 plus but it is a bit too expensive.

If i'm going to buy any one of that i will pick note 8 because it has a wide screen and i think the design is good even if it's kinda big in our hands. I love the pen too and i think it depends on the users on what he/she needs.

It really depends on what you want in a phone. Myself personally I would choose the note because I love having a very large screen.

I prefer NOTE series. it has wider screen, almost same performance with s8, above all it has S-PEN dude!

But If your phone is still in good condition, practically speaking you should keep unto that one until its useless!

So comparing the Note 8 and the Galaxy S8+ head-to-head, the decision process is rather simple. If you want the biggest and most capable phone that Samsung offers, you go with the Note 8. Its screen is marginally larger, it has more RAM, it offers the S Pen you can't get anywhere else and it has the only dual camera setup in Samsung's lineup.

I have the s8 but I don't like the curved screen. Nobody makes a case that can cover it completely

Otterbox is the best you can get, it's designed so if you lay it down on your desk - screen down, the screen doesn't touch the desk. You can also buy a "gorilla" glass screen protector...but all these protective items will run you close to another $100.

I think Samsung Note 8 is better.Because one of my senior buy Samsung Note 8 ,it is awesome.And I wants to buy Samsung Note 8.

Note 8 is 6.3 -inches compared to 6.2 on the S8+
6gb of ram compared to 4gb on the S8+
Note 8 has dual 12mp cameras 1 with a telephoto lens compared to the single 12mp without a telephoto.
Note 8 also gets 33 hours of battery life compared to 24 hours on the S8+

Just based on personal experience I would go for the Note 8 because my very first phone was the Note 1! I still have it but it's all broken. I would want to compare everything but I remember the stylus being so useful back then 7 years ago and the amount of improvements they probably made on the stylus I can't imagine!

I'm quite keen on the note 8 as well, however I read that the battery is smaller? I figured the overlay would be around the same and the bigger screen might soak up more battery life? So mind linking your source for the "33 hours of battery life compared to 24 hours on the S8+" - i'd be keen to read that.

I've also read that the Note 8's battery last longer than the S8...I'll look for the article.

Are the Galaxy Notes still exploding now and then? I guess this would influence my answer.

I would choose the samsung galaxy note 8 , it has the pen of course , and as ihave watched their advertisement samsung galaxy note 8 wins over all than the samsung galaxy s8 plus.i think samsung fixed that issue already and they build their smartphones more suitable for the users.

I am using both and I can confirm the Note 8 is better and durable than samsung galaxy s8. The funtions of Note 8 is far advance than the galaxy s8.

I know note has a bigger screen and pen and all, but, I prefer, and love, the Galaxy S8 plus.

Regardless of your choice as a former Apple owner, last one was Iphone 5, Samsung is the way to go and they shit all over Apple in so many ways.

What ever model works best for you personally is the right model, no right or wrong. 

it's depends on what do you do with it. Note 8 can do more things with the S pen.

I'd go for the s8. Me personally i like smaller phones. I'm not a fan of pens or stylus. Besides i think it's basically the same thing as note 8 only with a pen.i could be wrong, I'm no expert.

I think note 8 is better if you want to experience games or other entertains.

Just got the galaxy s8+ yesterday and I love it great size and it a pretty awesome phone. I had the s6 so i am a android guy. Note it a bit to big for me personally

you can choose whether you need to use a pen for work or not, if you just want to play game, you can choose s8 plus, note 8 is great just because its pen.

As far as i know S8 has smooth accessibilty and extra featured RAM and ROM. i think it would be better

The most important of NOTE8, the pen, one its tip is corroded, the smartphone is left with nothing

If you want new phone buy s9/s9+, or if you have s8+ use it. I have s8 and in my opinion there is no reasons to buy new s9.

My vote goes for the SG S8 , ones of the best SP around.

i use simple MI set and to me its best. I cant ever afford to buy those high priced phones :)

This is old stuff. So, I think the discussion will be a different one now. The battle will now be between the S9 Plus and Note 9. I think my decision will still be the same as last year. I would go for the S9+. The Note 9 this year is really packing some heavy stuff. That 512 gig ROM is really tempting. But honestly, the price point is not worth it. Also, an average user like me doesn't really need the pen. And that is what the Note line has always been about.

Note 9 has arrived dude, let's dive in the ocean like storage with 1 TB :D

I recommend you to use Samsung Galaxy s8. It is smooth and good quality phone by my opinion.

I think it only depends on what screez size you want to have, opportunities of both phone seem to be approximately the same,and if note is just a bit more powerful you won't see a big difference in perfomance.

Both are of their own kind! Now let's compare S9 and Note 9, If an individual has size restrictions, should go for S9.
If he is looking to go for S9+, should obviously go for Note 9 now!

Should go for samsung note 8. Because note 8 has more features than s8 plus, then add the fact that note 8 has an s pen and s8 plus doesn't have any stylus or pen.

Yeah the pen is important in most occasions

s8+ very convenient and interesting phone I use for a year, I have it and fell and drowned, and even then works fine, one minus if all the same phone ever breaks the repair will be very expensive

I have note 8 and I am really satisfied with it. I don't use the S Pen too often, but when I need it, it comes really handy. Besides that, I love the big screen and the dual camera

The S pen will not waste your money on upgrading to note 8.

I prefer Samsung Note 8 with bigger screen and the S-pen. Play games and do things on bigger screen give better experience.

I always prefer the note series over series s series Samsung phone. one of the factors why is the price depreciation over time. the s series price is faster to depreciate compared to S series.

I always go for samsung note 8 not because it's a new model of samsung's top of the line model but because of the new features on the device that S8 don't have.

The Galaxy Note 8 phone model has the following advantages over S8 plus:
2GB more RAM.
2 times the megapixels of the main camera.
192GB more internal storage.
I would choose exactly Galaxy Note 8. I would be happy if my opinion would be useful when choosing a gadget.

I think it is depend on your works that have to done with phone. The works that can be done using Spen can't compare any other features in S8 plus. But if Spen doesn't useful for you your option should be S8.

I find that the Samsung Samsung note is perfect, and they have a long usage time but the design is quite significant. If you are a regular user, I think you should still keep using s8 plus.

Frankly speaking, I like the Note 8 model because I use it myself, but to be honest, I regretted about my choice a little, since there are simply splendid phones on the Chinese market. They are much better than Samsung but cheaper.

I like the S8 best because i used it,because it's battery has a long time and it's touch is a lot batter. I for one would go for S8. I have not used the N8 because I have no idea about the quality of this.
