If bitcoin will be used as our daily payment is it possible that schools will be accepting it as payment for tuition fees? And if it will be accepted they need to teach the students the use of bitcoin and give the knowledge to use it and how it works.

It may be possible in the near future but paying it with fiat seems more convenient than most families since not all of them know the existence of bitcoins. Another thing, bitcoin's nature being digital, this limits the number of families who will pay using bitcoins since again, not all families are connected into the internet especially the marginalized ones. Teaching bitcoin to universities or schools is certainly a great idea to educate the youth about the value of money, investments, and knowledge to be able to produce revolutionary technologies that may contribute to bitcoins in the future.

The only way bitcoin can go into school curriculum and be taught in class is when the countries government has accepted bitcoin into their system  as a legal currency. This might not happen in some countries, but if it will,  it will have to take a very long time to happen.

But first government must have something benefitial from bitcoin. As long in fiat they cut us by Taxes. There is no way will happen in bicoin.

They will never teach or accept some inovation that has no feedbacks.

This problem will discontinue if Government act as Regular Miner for accelerate bitcoin transaction between user, they have enough reaources to improve that And that is the way Gov. Have to be. Not just a Nasty Maggots.

I think it will never be possible. People would never adopt such an unstable currency as medium of daily transactions. Moreover as of now its too slow and costly to transact.

In my opinion, it is too early for the currency to develop so much. On the other hand it will be a great opportunity for many bussy pleople who can do their daily transaction at any time.

Bitcoin fees now are very high for small transactions.

This is not 100% true, because if there's no ongoing spam attack against the network, the mempool is not full and the transaction is simple enough (one input, one output) the fee can be really low and the transaction still gets verification in some hours, and not days like summer this year.
Moreover, if LN gets activated on bitcoin, it will boost small transactions too.

Perhaps in the future, bitcoin will indeed be used as payment in many establishments, but for small purchases it will be too unprofitable. It takes a long time to realize this venture.

It could possibly happen in the future, I mean bitcoin is a digital currency and the technologies now are dominating worldwide so maybe in the future they would accept bitcoins to pay for the tuition fees and in time teach them in schools too. But for daily transactions, I think there are some who are using bitcoins almost daily in their transactions but it's not bitcoin to bitcoin though, some would have to convert it first from bitcoin to the country's currency.

I don't think that it is a necessary lesson to be taught in schools. Let us give a real example in your situation, right now schools are accepting credit card payments for the tuition fee but do you see them being taught to the students as one of the lessons in their curriculum? I guess not because even though it is a widely use payment system it does not mean that it is a good subject for them to be taught in school, right now I think the most reasonable subject is about investing in general which will prepare the students in life after school.

Its actually possible to make bitcoin as a payment on schools maybe it is already available on japan knowing that they are already adopting bitcoin on their place which we can assume they are already adding it up on their payment system on the usual things like paying tuition fees by the use of it which is really great but knowing that adoption is still not too much in bitcoin.

It is possible only in countries where many people already know about bitcoins.

Bitcoin was not designed for daily small transactions, but to mimic gold and to be used for remittances and larger payments. If bitcoin can be used for smaller payments it is by accident and should not be guaranteed in the future.

If bitcoin will be used in daily transaction it is a very big effect and help to many people and it can also decrease the number of people outside the community and to prevent incidents involving cash or money stealing or human trafficing. And many people will be happy they pass and transfer money person to person, thats why it is a very big help to us.

If by 'used in daily transactions' you mean its value has already stabilized, and is already used by the general populace, then I don't see why it won't be accepted as tuition and it will most definitely be taught, to some degree, in schools.

If bitcoin is used for our day-to-day transactions, I think it will be a bit complicated for people who do not know him. Because most people may be easier in the transaction using fiat money. More practical if the cost is in little.

Yes that's possible. But in order for this thing to happen, Bitcoin should be legal to a certain country for it to be used in transactions such as tuition fees and the likes. And I think it will still take 10 more years for this to happen since the demand is increasing. And if this thing would happen, Bitcoin's market value will surely be highly stable because it will also have a high market demand if it will be used in daily living.

Yes, it is possible that bitcoin can be use as a payment for the tuition fee in the near future. Decades ago, you can only pay your tuition fee using fiat money. Today you can pay your tuition fee using credit card and online banking. Cryptocurrency could be a curriculum or a subject to understand it.

i dont think bitcoin will be used on daily as a payment method why? because the price is very volatile a bad news can make the price crash and also it will be a hassle to some of us and even the store because of transaction confirmation time so, it will be a bad idea if bitcoin is used to for a payment in store and groceries which is a very busy place.

It is possible to happen, it can be a payment option for students to pay their tuition fee. And since it will be for a school year, confirmation time will not be a problem. As long as a school is progressive enough, it maybe open for bitcoin transactions.

It may be possible to happen, but as for now, I think they won't do it. Schools are now accepting to pay tuition fees in banks, but in my country, they are still not accepting credit cards. And literally in my school, either you pay in banks, you pay in cheque or you'll pay in fiat money. I think in our school system, it will be 3 decades before it can be adapted.

About the curriculum of school, that's a little tricky to answer usually schools don't even teach about the fiat unless you take a commerce major or something like that, so I would be surprised if they teach about BTC is primary school.

I think the daily transaction will become easier if the bitcoin will be use. There are now some stores that are accepting bitcoin as payment and I know that this following years many stores will accept bitcoin.

Some store accepts bitcoin as payment because they have knowledge about it but how about for some that dont know technically they wont accept it and for school if they accept bitcoin as payment for the tuition i dont think so that they would probably give attention for this that teach it on the school.

This is a good vision, if Japan already uses Bitcoin in their airlines, it is likely to happen in the near future, this is why bitcoin was created in the first place, core developers should just make sure that it is compliant to the university that will accept them .

I think if bitcoin is used as our daily payment, not just schools/university is using bitcoin but there will be many merchant will accepting bitcoin too. soon I think every places especially local store in japan will be using bitcoin as their payment and it is wide open for bitcoin user and local store to use bitcoin for daily.

Some countries are teaching bitcoin in the school to learn how it works so they have ideas when they use it in the future and may be in the future they use bitcoin as payment to their tuition fees.

Hmm.. quite interesting. Assuming that bitcoins become widely accepted by the majority. People will start to use it in just about everything you can think of. And yes, including schools. And with this happening, it would be just right for schools to include courses explaining block-chain technologies and just abput everything about crypto currencies. And ico launchings would be natural and jobs that are crypto currency related would increase and be in great demand which can lead to a better system with lesser percentage of poverty. It would be an ideal world if you ask me.

If we can pay school fees by btc then I think the schools will have their own website to carry out the transaction, just like we are doing. There you can see the information about the fees and the amount of money. But then btc was a popular currency in that country and was accepted by the government. Therefore, we need to wait a little longer to be able to do this.

I do not see why this can be a challenge. It is something that we should be expecting anytime soon when bitcoin gradually hit most sectors we can imagine. Schools will only intergrate bitcoin, ethereum ,litecoin etc.. once they start teaching simple basic fundamentals of how block chains work in everyday life and associate a pattern of chain to daily life. Its hard to change curriculum that's focused on the federal reserve and banking system to some how try to connect this to banking or credit/debit cards and to associate. One day though...

It's possible but on a day to day basis then we need to fix the issues with huge transactions fees and delayed confirmations first by increasing th block size sobtgat nore transactions can be included in one block and so we can pay less for a faster confirmation. It is only at this point that Bitcoin will be feasible to be used in a daily basis.

accepting bitcoin as a payment in school is a good idea, but to teach all students and give them all knowledge about bitcoin is not usual, because why do they keep studying in school to build their future, if they can build their future in bitcoin? these are non sense idea and it cost of negative thinking not to study in school and go work in bitcoin to earn money instead of studying in school. give them a little knowledge but not to teach all about bitcoin in school.

It is really not the school's decision in adding a new kind of subject to be implemented and to be taught to the students. It is really the government's decision in which what subject they will teach to the students, for example some countries require that in all levels there is a physical education involve for the student in order to promote a healthy lifestyle for students. Ofcourse it will be accepted as payment espcially if it is legal to the country where you at. If it is legal, it will be used in daily transactions as what you've said and that includes payments such as tuition fees. But I doubt that it will be taught to students because it is not connected with academic purposes. But who knows, that'll still depend on the school if they will add Bitcoin as a subject.

Bitcoin is now accepted in other school for tuition, I used a btc wallet that they supported bitcoin payments. And maybe when bitcoin becomes popular, I'm sure this will be used for payments by many schools around the world.

Digital payments are tolerated in daily life but not with cryptos. It's early to get cryptos involved in daily life for many reasons:

I do not agree if the school students should start learning bitcoin, because bitcoin is different from cash. bitcoin is a tool for trading like stocks and requires an exchange to use, so it would be difficult for school students when using bitcoin

Bitcoin can not be accepted as daily payment, because shops will not agree to wait till confirmation time, which can be more than 20 minutes. All shops need very fast confirmation time - max 20 seconds, so Bitcoin is too slow with this. But banks can accept Bitcoin as payment in future and then schools will accept too.  ;D

If this thing will happen, there's a huge possibility that the market demand of Bitcoin will be highly stable as well as its value which also means, bigger profit to earn. If it will be legal to most countries, transactions such as what you've mentioned will be normal. It's a bit weird if Bitcoin will be taught to students because at the first place it doesn't have connection with education if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, there are universities that includes bitcoin in their curriculum already. I think you should do some research before asking this. And as for using btc as daily payment you mean on a regular daily transaction I'm afraid that's not ideal. Btc should be used not on a typical transaction like for example buying your lunch or riding public transport. Imagin how much it will cost you for the transaction fees. I remember reading a thread about how a taxi driver put up a sign that he's accepting btc for payment but ended up receiving cash instead of btc. That is because when the passenger agreed on how much btc he should pay he realized that it will cost him almost twice the actual fare because of the tx fee.

I think it can be in the future. For me, I'm still using Bitcoin to pay for everything such as my son tuition, my living,....but not directly, I still have to exchange Bitcoin into cash to pay or purchase everything because Bitcoin is not legalized in my country but luckily that it's not banned so I still can use it. But as I know there is a school that accept Bitcoin for tuition but I can't remember its name. IMO in the near future Bitcoin will be accepted all around the world so we can use Bitcoin to pay for everything directly.

I would be happy if we use bitcoin for daily transactions. no.1 less hassle. because your not going anywhere else just to pay bills or send money to banks. We can send money to our families and love ones all over the world. Bitcoin is a peer to peer transactions, no third party involve.

It will be really nice if they will implement bitcoins to use in our daily transactions and we can use it aside from credit cards that came from the bank, Crypto has higher currency so the goods will be cheaper in that way and every person that earns bitcoins can buy easily online or in the malls.

I think it is impossible. Because to be able to participate in education, the government certainly interferes in it. And if bitcoin in a country will be made in transactions and learning within the school, it is certain and mandatory bitcoin must be legal in that country.

It is possible but the only way to see bitcoin accepted in institutions like schools, hospitals, banks etc. is if the government decided to endorse bitcoin (crypotcurrency) as legal currency that can be used in nationwide transaction. As you know, bitcoin is not related with any third party right now, in which, it gives an advantage because third party like government don't have the right to control and put taxes in our purchase sales.

About this i think it's going to be hard for the teachers to teach this to students. Why? We have to teach people basic stuff such as how to create wallet, how to send transactions and how to protect yourself from various attacks. It will take some time so we will have to do it step by step. I think not everyone will study how does mining work, how transactions are being confirmed etc. Some people just want something that works, without studying the technical aspects.

BTC prices fluctuate so much, I dont think real world business will embrace it. Especially when its prices went down hard, because real business needs constant capital to keep 'em running.

It all depends on the government's decision in each region or country, if the presence of bitcoin is considered valid or official its use, it is certain the school received bitcoin as its payment tool.

As far i know some universities are already accepting bitcoins as payment method, you can search it on the web about those universities and other educational institutes who are accepting bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the future money so i think there is a need to educate students and young ones about it so that they can better understand it and use it in future, educational institute can a play a key role in this regard by educating their students.

Good point. If bitcoin will be use to pay tuition fees of the students, the students should also have the idea of what bitcoin is. So that if they turn to highschool and college, they will be the one who will pay their tuition fees. It wil be better if we can use bitcoin in our daily payment in any transactions.

Daily payment use of bitcoin is quite not possible right now. Maybe it can be used for tuition fees but I'm honestly not sure about it because of the volatility of btc price. And we know that some tuition fees that were collected are used for facilities, supplies and payrolls of university's employees. That being said, I think they will not yet accept btc as tuition fees although I must admit that I'm not up-to-date whether some institutions are now accepting btc. On the bright side, there are universities now who offers cryptocurrency subject and that I am sure of based on what I've read somewhere I just forgot the site.

We are far in time to this scenario. Right now bitcoin doesnt have more advantages than credit cards. You can use credit cards in the whole world,anytime you want and with very low to inexisting fees. Why would people choose bitcoin instead of credit cards or real cash?Of course bitcoin has its own advantages but right now it is not ready to be used for daily transactions

Yes bitcoin can be likely used as daily payment and also as tuition fees in schools, once it is made centralized by the Major  countries of the world. Yes it is really a good idea to teach the students about bitcoin, what are the uses of bitcoin, how can we use it and how it works ,what are the advantages and disadvantages of it. There should be a separate class hours for bitcoin alone. And  this teaching and learning process should not be applied only to schools but also it should be spread to the colleges, offices, and public educational camps too etc.

I'm not sure if Bitcoin is going to be used for daily transactions. It is a great technology but it's still too early. Transactions are cheap but they are not fast enough for daily shopping. If one country would switch to Bitcoin completely, then the whole network would be crowded! Segwit helped us a little but we still have to upgrade Bitcoin to make it even faster.

I still don't know the importance of teaching Bitcoin at school since it is not related with academic subjects and also, it can be learned only by reading articles. If Bitcoin will be used in the daily transactions, especially if it is legal to a certain country, the market demand of Bitcoin will surely increase as well as its market price. Surely, if it is legal to the country where you at, and if it will be used in daily transaction, it will ofcourse include payments in tuitions especially if it is supported by the government in that country.

It is possible in future, bitcoins have that potential to do so.

Bitcoin is not anonymous at all, you'll stay anonymous only if none know that you are the owner of a specific address, and once you're exposed, everyone could trace where your money is going by simply exploring your address with blockchain explorer, still think that bitcoin is anonymous?

If Bitcoin is not a valid currency in your country then you can't include into a curriculum textbook. because no illegal thing should not be discussed in the school. but regardless of any institutional purpose we can use Bitcoin without getting a legal currency.

But first i think the government must accept the bitcoin and make it a new currency to be used in the country. Yes there's possibilty for it. There's always possibilities in all things, but in bitcoin possibilities is not that believable. Bitcoin can only be used in that situation if the country's government will accept bitcoin as a new currency, then it will be legal to its citizen to use bitcoin. There are actually schools that are accepting bitcoin in Europe but very rare in number. Hoping someday that will be implemented so we can pay the tuition fee even at homes. Aside from the convenience it will make it will also help increase the market of bitcoin including its value.

1. Bitcoin as a mode of payment through school and universities: some schools already adapted to cryptocurrencies like the university of Nicosia which I read in an article ( https://www.wired.com/2013/11/bitcoin-university/ ) and it wouldn't be a surprise if more and more universities follows specially those who provides online courses which will make their programs more accessible throughout the world.

2. Teaching students about bitcoin is not necessary as a course but it could be an additional topic specially in business and marketing courses since its their field of interest but learning bitcoin is not enough to be an individual course or topic because it is not that hard to learn.

I think it is possible in the future if the government will accept BITCOIN
but I think it is better to pay with the real currency because the price fluctuates and we all know that

probably in developed countries and have legalized bitcoin can occur. but it is impossible if the whole world will be applied the same thing. bitcoin is a great invention of the times. Spectacular digital technology. maybe development innovations can start from school education, but it takes a lot of time.

I  think it is a good idea for bitcoin to be used in our daily transactions for it makes our life easier. Before we use bitcoin as payment in large transactions, we need to make sure that it is legal and people are knowledgeable in using it. Bitcoin will be very helpful because it cannot be robbed. It can only be robbed if somebody forces you to do it. Bitcoin is also very secure because there are no reports of it being hacked. If bitcoin can be legalize, then payment for tuition fees will be very easy and other transactions will also be easy. Shopping can be done from home and groceries can be delivered at houses if you can pay via bitcoin. Bitcoin will play a very big role in the future.

Actually, If I'm not mistaken, there is a thread on this forum saying that there is a university somewhere in the west started to accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment in their school. The post seems legit. I'm also hoping that Bitcoin Education can be discuss in each Secondary School to spread awareness to teenager students.

Yes  if it's possible to pay bitcoin for our daily transaction we cannot pay especially the small amount because as we can see each wallet has a high fee . Anything can happen in the near future with the advancement of our technology we can achieve these kind of things. As a student I think bitcoin paying our fees in school is a great idea because of the many advantages of bitcoin. I agree with the guys saying bitcoin shouldn't be used on a day to day basis. For bigger transactions or investment it's fine, but the transaction costs are huge if you're gonna just pay for a soda. It's just not efficient. There's a new ICO called Universa that claims to have very small transaction fees and very fast transactions. If it's properly scalable it could be used for these kinds of transactions.

In my opinion it might highly recommended and quite logically possible to happen but as for the current status of bitcoins, I think it can't be use yet to all kinds of deals and transactions just what a regular currency does. We just need to convince those who are in the business line to use bitcoins as a means of payment but it is difficult to do unless you had connections globally.

It's not possible to use bitcoin in daily transactions, a lot of transactions can be not real using different tools that's mean if there is no confirmation that transaction is not real, for bigger purchases it can be used really well but doing basic stuff is for buying something in a store or making small purchases it's not good because of the commision and not real transders

And the questions are; Does the government allow the use of Bitcoin on our daily transactions? How about transaction fees, does it kill our purses or not? Even if Bitcoin is not accepted by schools as payment Bitcoin can still be taught by teachers to their students under computer technology subject. Maybe. Private schools may accept Bitcoin as a payment. However, I am not sure about public schools. Public schools are pretty much owned and operated by the government. They may accept Bitcoin. Such a phenomenon is possible, but I would not count on it. Bitcoin is heavily contested against by many government. The governments fear for the economy of their country and usually stick away from Bitcoin. So, I am not sure if Bitcoin will be accepted by public schools. If it does become accepted, I can tell you for sure that it would take quite a long time.

In my opinion, if educational institutions accepts Bitcoin as a mode of payment, it will only be beneficial to their part. Here in the Philippines, schools are exempted from paying tax. With that being said, the government would not have any control on Bitcoin since they don't benefit from what the school earns. I don't think that even though the government does not have a hold of the school's income, they would allow them to receive another form of payment. As it have some advantages like transactions through mobile payment,  purchases are not taxed, very low transaction fees and no third party interruptions. When the time comes that people are more involved in here and government legalizing it, it may happen.

I think it is a enjoyable idea for bitcoin to be used in our daily transactions for it makes our cartoon easier. since the coins are in a safe software wallet, also it would be easy to transact all now and later and not needing to be exchanged to chas and vise verse. it will be a win business both for the consumer and the new side of the transaction.

I think it has just started and not only in my country it is used as a way of payment in many countries. There are many transaction who accept bitcoin in our country, like paying bills and i think it is not possible if one of this day even in a mall or paying tuition fees will also accept bitcoin especially those school that can use also the student fees in some investment to grow the more of the school.

It already happened. I've read from articles that a school in US give options for parents to pay either cash or btc for the tuition fee. I can see that it's going to happen in major universities not just in US but in other countries.

I think it will be really good for schools and business to allow bitcoins to be accepted in their payment systems. I think it will happen in the future when bitcoin is considered legal by all countries. When it happens it is not impossible the school will receive payment with bitcoin.
