I just want to update everyone about our project, we just launched it, it's called Pundi X :).

Hi guys,

We are an underground blockchain startup based in Jakarta and Hong Kong.

Our ICO will be in November (ANN and pre-ICO in October). Our product is already one of the best and biggest in our segment (Payment app + Fintech + South East Asia).

We are looking for 1-2 full-time campaign managers to join our team. The ANN, Bounty, Pre-ICO, and ICO campaign will be run from HQ in central Jakarta. We will be supported by campaign managers from other parts of the world.

Main requirements:
1. passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency.
2. full member or higher (esp with campaign experience: translation, bounty, manager)
3. relocate to Jakarta for 10-12 weeks (we provide accommodation if needed)
4. good at getting people excited about things.

Other bonus:
1. If you know Bahasa, Korean, Japanese or Russian it will be a plus.
2. Working remotely accepted if you are very strong.
3. Might lead to a permanent position if you are interested.
4. Social media savvy.

Our team have extensive experience in startup and technologies. This underground startup is a joint venture between Indonesian and global members. There are 30 team members with 40% coming from Indonesia.

We are building a decentralized ecosystem for merchants around the world to buy cryptocurrency. The project includes a smart device (like a EDC machine), a secured card (like mandiri e-money but more secure). They are all connected to the blockchain and developers and token holders from all around the world can sell cryptocurrency and services. A regular person visiting a convenience store (say indomaret) can now buy cryptocurrency like they are buying aqua, they can also use the cryptocurrency they own to buy aqua.



We already have several Fintech apps in Indonesia and South East Asia, 50% of our team are based in Jakarta so our focus is to start here, followed by Thailand and Malaysia, then globally.

We now have network of 500 merchants in Indonesia, and we will start by allowing the buy and sell of cryptocurrency starting from these locations. So users can just go and buy with IDR, or buy with credit card, or just buy with your favorite e-money app such as Sakuku or Gopay (coming soon).

For the product lineup I have explained on another thread.

For the business model, our tokens work like "gas" in Ether. Blockchain developers and token holders that sell their goods or tokens (any ERC20 or major coins) on our ecosystem will need to buy then tokens to "burn".

Of course, our objective is not to make money first, we want to make sure our token becomes useful and educate people about cryptocurrency.

Are you a part of #1000startup movement held by Indonesian creative economy board (BEKRAF)?
I'm not sure if cryptocurrency can be categorized as a creative economy or not, but I think it'll be nice if you can be a part of that movement.
But again, it's a government-owned thing, so I'm not so sure if they will support cryptocurrency startup or not.

edit : nowadays Instagram becomes one of best media to promote a project or business. my friends on Instagram use it to promote everything especially business. instagram users give more interest on business or project which can give them more income. commonly someone in instagram promote 'online business' which promises big income weekly/monthly. beside promoting your project on Facebook and Twitter, instagram could be good choice.

If you have 1btc stored in our app/card/partnering-app and say you are buying 500,000 IDR worth of drinks for you and your friends so that's about 0.0096 (random approximation). So 0.0096btc will be sold to an instant buyer or the exchange for 500,000 IDR. - this is all done when you use our app to scan the QR code of our smart device in the cafe or use our smart pass card (like a bank card) and swipe it with the smart device.

The IDR is used to pay for the drinks :) your balance is now 0.9904.

Penjual tidak usah mengerti crypto, disebab semuanya transparent bagi penjual, penjual hanya gunakan smart device kita utk jual beli barangan (aqua, gula, crypto etc). Mungkin lebih ke contoh Visa, jadi kita adalah "visa of blockchain" di mana penjualnya hanya menerima pembayaran tanpa khuatir "underlying payment technology". Akrhinya penjual juga dibayarin IDR (berkecuali penjual juga berminat utk mengutip dalam crypto)

itu melalui device kita, jadi kalau gan ada 1 BTC dan butuhkan 0.1BTC value dalam IDR, jadi hanya jualkan 0.1BTC ke device kita dan terus mendapatkan uang IDR. Uang itu langung dimasukkan ke digital wallet ataupun secara tunai.

ICO is certainly not illegal in Indonesia :) The token has to be treated as a virtual goods though and cannot be used a currency to make purchases. The way around this, to make sure we comply to local regulations, is that our tokens (or any tokens) are sold first to our physical exchange in the convenience stores so that the seller gets his or her IDR. The seller can then use the IDR to buy goods from the convenience store.

Hi thanks, you asked a critical questions, and I saw you posting on another thread supporting our idea, so double thanks :)

We want our idea to be as simple as buying bottled water, not just for the buyer but also for the seller (merchants). They will operate the EDC just like selling pulsa or stuff, easy pie.

My point is the merchant will use their money if users want to redeem their cryptocurrency for example btc. How to educate these people since maybe a lot of them know nothing about crypto. How to convince them that this the the way of payment in the future, since still so many people dont know about crypto and maybe they cannot accept it easily like the internet was.

I read a news yesterday about small village in Indonesia where people over there are using Bitcoin instead of rupiah to receive money from their relatives who work abroad.

Saya sempat baca ttg Pundi-Pundi, dan melihat bahwa merchant yang bekerjasama adalah merchant mulai dari yg kecil sampai ke yang besar (di bawah naungan PT.Indofood), apakah tim Anda bekerjasama dengan PT.Indofood atau hanya dengan merchantnya saja?

Karena jika bekerjasama langsung dengan PT.Indofood, maka proyek ini akan menjadi sangat menggiurkan karena akan sangat mudah untuk menjangkau seluruh Indonesia.

Pundi X tidak menggunakan crypto sebagai alat pembayaran, kami hanya mempermudah pembelian dan penjualan crypto

Bisa digunakan di toko karena masyarakat dapat menjual crypto mereka dengan mudah di toko dan membeli barang dengan IDR hasil penjualan crypto

Saya rasa memiliki crypto bukan sesuatu yang dilarang oleh BI, dan Pundi X tidak melanggar regulasi apapun karena menggunakan rupiah untuk berbelanja :)
