I expect BTC to drop as we near September 30th. Traders have already factored in the fear of ICO banning into the current price, as well as some hesitancy to trust bitcoin as china is setting up new laws and regulations. But I also expect a full recovery and then some right after we finish. My guess is hovering around 3000 the few days before September 30th.

the value of a currency is always the relation of the AMOUNT of that currency and the AMOUNT of goods that you can buy for it.
Bitcoin is decentralized and cant be controlled (and printed) by governments+Banksters, thats good. The value of Bitcoin depends on all companies who will accept Bitcoin as payment. If more and more companies accept Bitcoin as payment then the Bitcoin-value will raise. If companies, who are already accepting Bitcoin, will decide that they wont accept Bitcoin anymore then the Bitcoin-value will drop.
Keep in mind that Bitcoin is great for everyone who hates Inflation, but governments+Banksters will fight against it to destroy it. No government will ever allow Bitcoin to be the official currency of a country. Bitcoin removes their beloved power to print unlimited amounts of currency out of thin air.

Quite a hard question. The price has been dropping and pumping like never before these couple of weeks, probably due to China banning Bitcoin.

Bitcoin recently dropped to 3k, then pumped all the way back to 4.5k and then it's dropped again, and it's been floating around the 4k range, almost passing 4k.

I would expect Bitcoin to recover back to 5k in October.

but a slight prediction of either true or false within 10-15 days after the 30th will decrease at least at $ 3000

Panic in China has come to an end, and I didn't doubt in that for a second. Price is going slowly up again and until November and that new split people will try to accumulate bitcoins. Recent split pushed the price up, but before that price due panic fell a bit, can we expect history to repeat itself?
Until 30 September price will be where it is now, little more probably. Price can't rise fast cause that November, new fork will bring more panic and I don't know who is making this hard forks, its starting to be very confusing for many people, that's why we see so much panic in community.

Price can get dumped to below $3k before making another bull run, when all big whales will sell off their holding there will be huge panic on market that can bring price to even $2500 within few day. I think when there will enough liquidity in current bull trap all chinese whales will sell all of their holding to only have CNY when chinese trading platform will shut down their operation.

So I am expecting price between $2500 to $3000 during last few days of september.

today already 21 september and price is still stable around $3800-$4000,i think people just wait until someone like big investor to pump or dump and then we will see the price is up or down.i personally lost 0.22 from trading because on 15 september the price should go below $2900,if not because the big invstors decided to pump the bitcoin and people just start to take the action to bought bitcoin.it's like news, jamie dimon and big investors can effect the market and we only small player need some luck and also experiences to make some profit from trading.
actually i really like bitcoin to fall to below $3000 but i already bought with high price and holding my bitcoin and waiting to get my lost 0.22 btc back.just hope before it drop at least reach $4500 first.

do you have any actual facts about China banning "miners" or are you just desperately spreading FUD with the hopes of a price drop?
so far what China planned to do and did was to close exchanges that failed to acquire proper licenses for operating in this world with fiat involved in their business and lots of volume.
they may or may not do something about miners too but so far in the past many years there have been no indication of it.

Dont worry about that . Even china ban all communication about bitcoin its okay because for sure  even the price of bitcoin decrease it will recover again and it aill increase than current high price. Lets show to china even witbout  them we can unite as family and we can increase bitcoin price . And show them many people earn a lot of profit because of bitcoin . Lets move as one family we need your cooperation lets pump bitcoin.

i think bitcoin could go over $4000 even without the china. We don't need china as long as big whales from other country holding their bitcoin and buying more . once they sell it out that will gonna be the end of bitcoin journey because they can manipulate the price by selling and buying bitcoins. its all about the demand. Price of bitcoin depends on the demand of bitcoin.

between $3800 and $4100

this will be followed by a long period. there will be lots of drama but all of it is already priced in, there will be more desperate newbies who will try to play at the big boys game and try to go against the market makers.
there may be a drop because of SegWit2x but won't be big because the price is already under all the pressure it can get under.

and when all that is done by the end of the year price will finally get back on track and the new year will be started like last year with a big rally and setting new ATH.

the news about china who baned bitcoin on September 30th has certainly scared people. there will definitely be a price correction because china has a very large number of bitcoin users. but we can speculate further, for example is when segwit happens. in that condition many predict the price decreases because of the existence of bitcoin split. but the fact is that the price is actually increasing and now we have seen the real evidence. bitcoin is hard to predict, but I believe prices will increase in October.

I actually expect the price to go up even though a lot of people here seem to be very confident that the price is going to crash because of the fact that the government in China has decided to go full on anti-bitcoin(or at least, rumoured to be doing so).

I believe that the current sideways movement in the price($3800-4000 range, just floating around there) is a pre-indication that price is going to go on another bull wave, whether this is rational or not.

Right now should be a pretty good time to buy in. $3.8k is not a bad level at all considering the demand for bitcoin atm.

But it is speculation may be bitcoin give us some good surprise, because i always have good thinking for bitcoin. That's why i will never say that bitcoin would be come back. Also it is reality if china ban the bitcoin than bitcoin will be loss its value of price.

I think, if there really will be another fork on November, then by September 30, it will go up, and will fall down when it November comes. There will always be panic sellers and supply and demand will move again, so the price will either go up or go down. But well I also think, by that date, the price will hit back to $4500, i hope so.

What do you mean that China miners are ban? There is no ban in mining on China, don't spread FUD as there is no confirmation about this or do I just miss the news? As expecting on September 30 the price go up to $4,200 and if there are still FUDs that are being spread possibly that we can go back again at $3,000. The real speculation should be dated on November and not the end of this month.

In my opinion nothing like this happen because the main reason behind this factor is that , if thr government of china want to ban the Bitcoin related projects like mining and ICOs then why they gives the time of one month , ofcourse they want some better things for the people who are using bitcoin and another cryptocurrency .
Here also a big factor that everyone knows that , the population of the people in the china is more than what is in another countries , so if they will ban the mining and bitcoin like system then the people of the china will become jobless and in this way the economical growth of the china will get down and the problem of money will arise .
And as a true government descion for the public , they will not ban it completely but they impose some restrictions to use bitcoin , ie. Legalisation and regualtion of bitcoin .

There is no surprise effect in it, so I think there won't be a panic reaction.

Most of us here expected for the price to increase in October because that's the actual trend of bitcoin for many recent years past. After fluctuations happened regarding dumping of bitcoin and price eventually decrease, this will recover and pump again. It's not within our control now, people are demanding to invest with bitcoin because it's more profitable than fiat savings investments.

I don't see any price movement around end of the month. Probably in the range of $3800-$4100. We still have the China thingy going on, most of their local exchanges will completely shutting down its operation end of the month, so worst case scenario its lower than $3000. I'm very bullish about bitcoin but the news from China is not yet over. So I'm bracing for the worst. If the news don't put a effect then bitcoin can be around $3800-$4100, but if the dumping starts again floor price would be $2800-$3000 end of the month.

If my prediction is right, we can not see the price of Bitcoin recover higher than $4,500 because after FUDs it still quite weak, small bear trap or dump trap still enough to make the price of Bitcoin drop down.

I would say between $3000 and $3500. That will be perfect because that is where I have placed my bids.

Quote

there may be a drop because of SegWit2x but won't be big because the price is already under all the pressure it can get under.

It is never really "priced in" with Bitcoin. Some more FUD here and there from China or a banking CEO could still move the price down as easy because, we, the holders of Bitcoin are amateur traders who always trade on the news.

I used to do that before but I have learned a hard lesson to just buy the dips.

and when all that is done by the end of the year price will finally get back on track and the new year will be started like last year with a big rally and setting new ATH.

:Thumbs up.

It's difficult to predict right with what's happening. I don't know when we'll be staying at $3,600 and I want to see bitcoin back at $4,000 and this is a safe haven for me.

Going by the TA it should drop.

But bitcoin really moves based on geopolitics. The first truly big surge in 2013 came when Cyprus forced a bail-in on the banks, confiscating people's savings.

Well we have another potential flashpoint on October 1st as the Catalans try to break away from Spain. Depending how Spain reacts, we could see a rush to safety towards both bitcoin and gold. (So far Spain looks like it might get violent).

The end of month is close and in that short period of time I don't expect some substantial changes in the price. I think it will stay somwhere between 3500$ and 4000$. Maybe we will also enter October with such values. It's prety sensitive phase now and users are careful. We will se 5000$ again, of that I'm sure because bitcoin will fully recover, but not this month.

but i think that at the end of this year the price of bitcoin will be trading above 7000$, in fact bitcoin has to start increasing but currently there are some bad new floating in the market which in fact stop people to invest assets in bitcoin, but i am sure that such bad news will over very soon and then the price of bitcoin will start increasing again.

Agreed. price will likely adjust down to around $3000-3500 by the time the end of meh month comes. However it should not be a major adjustment because people have started to realize that there is only so much the chinese government can do to bitcoin.

A price hike is unlikely, however. The max price i would expect by the end of the month would be around $4100 or so.

This is because we have seen major resistance at $4k, and the news isn't all that positive.

Despite the fact that China seems to be trying to get bitcoin out of its country i think that a bull market that happens next week is possible.

Price could well recover to more than $4k by the end of the month. Perhaps even more by a couple of hundred dollars. I think that we are going to mainly see a lot of sideways movements at least until November.

It won't be less than $3k by the end of the month either, though.

Bitcoin will be able to recover eventually but there is no doubt that if China keeps taking these decisions against their citizens and bitcoin then the price of bitcoin is going to suffer because of lack of demand and Chinese investors selling in panic trying to recover the most money they can out of these investments, so I personally see a price between 3000 and 3500 by the end of this month if we keep receiving bad news.

Well, there is no any official statement from China regulators to ban bitcoin mining as well, so the miners still fine about their business unless how to convert bitcoin to RMB that maybe so difficult as the government has halt the trading activity even over the counter trading through local bitcoins.
If there is no any manipulation from big whales such as JP Morgan which buy at the dip, or traders who sell-off huge amount, bitcoin should reach $4000 by the end of this month.

I feel that there will be no exciting change regarding Bitcoin price until September 30.  It might go down a bit more since exchanges in China are closing down.  About the development, there is none yet, and it seems good news that can start a rally for Bitcoin price is no where to found.  So I guess price would remain in the range of the current fluctuation.

I think that there is just going to be a load of sideways movement instead of any sort of substantial gain or loss in the Bitcoin price, so you're absolutely right.

this is because we have seen China ban exchanges,  and the markets have not responded very strongly to this news. sure there is a few hundred dollars lost a Bitcoin but that's a miniscule amount. Also, the new rumours regarding the ban  of miners in China is still unconfirmed.  therefore I think that we will not experience a major dump.

But a pump is possible  and I think the price could potentially break $4000 or even $4500 as I said.

September 30th is an important date because on that date we will see how china decides. decisions and regulations made by china may affect bitcoin prices. it can not be denied that china is currently having a huge impact, so do not forget that on September 30th there will be a bitcoin price determination overall. a decrease or increase will be at stake after that day.

Things happening with bitcoin along with other digital currencies were completely unpredictable. Based on the fact I just trust in its growth. The price pumping and dumping happens in a gradual manner with accordance to some sort of adoption. This surely takes the price move forward. So by the ongoing month end can expect the price to be above $4000.

Today is september 24 and september 30 is near . And we know what will happen in the price of bitcoin if its increase or decrease . But I hope the price of bitcoin increase so we can make profit . But if the price for example decrease its time to buy with cheap price because for sure after dumping the price it will increase again the price so if that happen you can earn profit . But it depends to you if you buy or not.

I think it will rise a little bit. Maybe near $4000 ;D
But the price right now for me is still good but not as giod as before. I will still try to wait until bitcoin hit my expectations. But they say that expect the unexpected. So maybe I don't need to expect more? Right?

China can't ban miners, it's a physical activity and it's not a crime. So, depending on what, chine will ban those workers and investors?

This is not fair and will be harzardous for the bitcoin system.

Yes, since China banned the mining of bitcoins on their country, price of btc are dropping - I assume that by September, the price will still be the same - maybe it play around $3500 or something
I just hope by December bitcoin will rise up to  $5000

But we can see that price is fluctuate around 3700$ to 3800$ from the past one week. I understand that people really worry sell out their bitcoin since the fees has been reduced to the old value.
If value decreases to low than you can invest and buy it more to get the profit in future.

I think it is within 3800 to 4000. It has been going sideways since last week. Sometimes going as low as 3.5k but still recovering with in the day. I think the same will happen this week. The china ban is not that effective anymore.

The price should be fairly constant, above $3k but below $4k.

Don't expect too big of a pump before the end of the month but i'm sure that by next month there will be a new round of pumps. Fact is that people have already acted on the news so a big selloff at the end of the month when the exchange closes down is unlikely.

But as i said, expect sideways movement in the short term.

I'm expecting for the price to reached for 4k$ and this one is reasonable guess since the september 30 date actually 5 days to come for now and this one will be the closes guess but there are certain thing that is a big threat for bitcoin to come up for that price since september 30 is the schedule of closure of some bitcoin exchange in China.

Theoretically it is a very likely thing that the market will not be too badly affected. But we do not know what exactly is the purpose of china country. It could be that the Chinese government keeps a lot of bitcoin and then exploits the situation. We do not know what will happen but we should be vigilant and prepare everything to face if conditions worsen in early October.

It would be nice to see 4.000$ before next month but looks like price will stay where it is now. That is good, price made big increase from beginning of this year until couple month's ago and maybe it will good to be here for a while. Price is holding around 3.500$ and after few weeks we can officially say that this is new bottom. Price will grow but we need to give it some time, China and bad news slowed bitcoin rise but price will recover and go back to 5.000$ in next couple months and in very optimistic about that.

I expect by the end of this month bitcoin prices to rise back $ 5000, after a decline.
If at the beginning of the month bitcoin price drops to $ 2000 i think this will cause many people to panic, many people also take advantage of buying bitcoin when the price is cheap.
If the price goes down i will buy it and when the price goes up i will sell it, because i think the price goes up or down in early october, it becomes a benefit for many people.

Yeah, I could say the same. The price will not go over 4000$ if reaches that value by the end of September but at this point of view probably would stay under. I expect to recover in October. But people should not fear so much and not consider happenings in China as only relevant. We need to abandon panic, it can only make harm.

i think bitcoin could go over $4000 even without the china. We don't need china as long as big whales from other country holding their bitcoin and buying more . once they sell it out that will gonna be the end of bitcoin journey because they can manipulate the price by selling and buying bitcoins. its all about the demand. Price of bitcoin depends on the demand of bitcoin.

I agreed, I think bitcoin can stand even without china. Definitely there a lot of other investor aside from china. And the number of bitcoin user is continue to increase. In addition to that the price of bitcoin as of now is moving up. So I think at the end of the value of it goes higher than now.

Bitcoin is resisting to go down and now is trading above 4150 it seems the bad news have stopped and bitcoin is slowly regaining its price, however I do not think this is going to last for a long time, as we get closer to November we are going to get even more turbulence since the date of the hard fork is getting closer and I do not see either side willing to back down on their positions.

although predictions are still referred to as uncertain but I believe in the future. I am equally concerned about the decline in bitcoin prices, but I also believe that in the future bitcoin prices can be much better than now. do not be too worried because then we will not lose, do not do bitcoin sales simultaneously because of panic to market china on this day. a few weeks ago there was also a correction but in fact bitcoin prices back in the normal position and also stable. we all hope there will be no more bad moments that can change the bitcoin. I was one of those people who had been badly affected when there was negative news momentum and I had a huge loss, but right now I've learned that I have to have patience to overcome an excessive panic when there's a significant bitcoin price correction.

So we are finally past the 30th of september date, and nothing has changed. We broke past the $4100 resistance and we have held above it easily. The 30th date was irrelevant as predicted by all the smart money, we only have seen a small dip which probably was a bunch of newbies thinking this date is still relevant.

We are now recovering from said dip and sailing towards $4700 as the next resistance to break, then $5000, and then a pop all the way up to $6000-$7000 before next year.

The game changer will be the hardfork in November, if it will be more or as successful of the fork last month of August, maybe Bitcoin will be able to reach 5000 before this year end and without China.
