Post by: Yurio on September 30, 2017, 07:40:42 AM
Hi guys!
What are the new cards for mining now?
I use Radeon px 480 and 580. I heard that new ones came out, but I do not know which are the most running ones. Please tell me who is in the topic.

For now the best option is 1080 ti . Its power efficient and cost effective.
I am looking for new models lets wait and see in 2018

The RX 5XX series are still considered newcomers from AMD, although, the new Vega series are out now, gaming orientated, good for GPU mining (Like any decent gaming GPU).
From Nvidia's view now, the latest ones are the 10XX Series, with the 1060 and 1070 being the best GPUs for the bucks (Value for money). Decent performance with a quite lower price tag than the 1080 version.

Although, the Rx4/5 Series still remain one of the best choices for mining.

I would not consider your hardware recommendation for " BEST " of any way :)
Best for Monero, Aeon, Zcash, Ethereum Classic & Ethereum Mining Rig with Best Supported Hardware:

Please dont mess around! I saw this shit like in every posts lol, could we report it?

For the new cards: I'm mining with rx580 and some p106-100, for next setup, I will purchase some Vega 64 or 1080Ti, they may result a better ROI.

No, new video cards were developed specifically for mining. But I do not know their name

I can't say anything against Nvidia but AMD I use RX 5 series. They work at the same speed and RX-4 series but at the same time consume less power and cooler. At the moment AMD does not produce anything better. Cost to buy new cards is not profitable. Costs more than they gain in speed mining.

I recommend you this page https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/#/equipment
where you can find the last equipment of mining, besides the times of return of investment, the different currencies that can mine an equipament, the hash rate, you can even organize the equipaments by company.

Some earnings data from my gpus

1080ti - $3.30/day on Skein. Use 215w. (Have 30 of them)

Rx 570/580 - $1.17/day on Monero. Use 90W (Have 26)

Vega56/64 - $2.50/day on Monero. Use 160W. Earnings can improve 20% if you do registry power mods (Have 2, 4 more on the way)

I'm loving my 1080tis. The efficiency to earnings is amazing and Nvidia cards outperform AMD in many algos, just not Etash/Cryptonight. Plus I manage less than half the rigs.

Vega is great too, but it's performance is kinda limited to cryptonight algo only. It really sucks in zcash/equihash, and for it's price is mediocre for eth. Great for dual mining if that's your thing, but it's really pushing thermal limits with the reference cooler. 4000+ rpm blower fan is no joke lol.

Right now I wish to pick up more Vega56 at MSRP. Maybe up to 18 pcs.

I choose GTX1080 and GTX1080Ti. Best performance for USD Price/Power consumption/Hashrate relation. But should choose these GPUs with "maximum" cooling system, like Palit SJS, GRP, Gigabyte AOURUS, ASUS GBPS (with 3-slots cooling system)

People are starting to use Vega series, but it's driver seems not optimized yet.
Their mining performance is not that good considering price and power consumption.
