I have joined this forum because i find crypto currencies interesting and kind of want to know how to go about investing them.

Back in may 2010 to learn more of bitcoins and make a bit of mining profit. This place was THE place to get good info on mining.

I joined this forum to learn more about Crypto currencies, I have learnt more about IT in the last few weeks reserching that over the last 5 years working in IT :P, Im disappointed that I didn't get into the Crypto currencies a couple of years a go when I first heard of them...

I've been mining for some time now but thought to finally register here to be able to participate on the buy/sell boards and maybe have a chit chat about mining practices as well :)

I'm pretty sure I saw the services section and thought I could sell my artwork.  Otherwise, I don't remember why I joined.

Joined to have questions answered, tricky considering the 5 post 4 hour limit  :P

To advertise my services in my signature, which turned out to be pointless.

Everyone cares about trading/mining/ponziing = no one cares about bitcoin as a future currency and spending it in general.

This reminds me of a MMO I used to play but it is RL.

I was considering taking part in an Avalon chips group buy. Then decided I didn't need any more stuff in our house as we're currently in "clean out" mode :)

Content with messing about with my 3 bitcoins for now.

After finding out about bitcoin I wanted to learn more about it so I followed the link found in the bitcoin.org website. Created my account as "newbitcoinqtuser" and started asking questions and before you know it I was answering them. Not to mean that I know it all. I have simply learned a lot since I first created a profile here and have lots more to learn.

I joined this forum to get to know more about bitcoins, to understand how bitcoin arch works, and to buy some bitcoins to try 'em out...

I joined because i want to get my LTC back from one of the pools. Been mining there for over the months and didn't withdrew anything. Now they facing problems and suspended withdrawals. So i have to write the post in one of the topics and possibly the PM as well.
It s not so easy for a newbie though as you have to go through the newbie procedure which i am just trying to do.
Hope it will work.
The account probably will be useful on other occasion as well.

I joined because I do not like payment processors setting rules for how am allowed to conduct my business.

With bitcoin, I am the payment processor.

This forum looked like a necessary resource for understanding bitcoin.
I don't know if it is just me, but the wiki seems like it needs a complete rewrite for people not already familiary to bitcoin to be able to understand it.

I'm interested in lower power miners like USB erupters.  With difficulty rising, the calculation speed to power ratio becomes a bigger problem.  Soon enough GPU's will not mine bitcoins fast enough to pay for their power usage.  A falling BTC price just makes it worse.

Mostly interested in learning from folks who know what they are doing - I ended up getting pulled into mining by my kid and ended up getting more into it than he is.  It's probably a sad comment on what I've got going on otherwise, but I think this stuff is fun.   ;D

And if I can make a couple of bucks at it too - that doesn't hurt one bit.   :)

I have joined this forum, because there is plenty of information about these crypto-currencies.  I do believe that in the very near future, these crypto-currencies can be as liquid and important as our current fiat currencies.  I also like the idea that these crypto-currencies are almost inflation-proof.

We are also interested in leveraging some of the existing group buys in the Auction forum and perhaps lead a few ourselves. I joined because I've been a lurker, in the shadows, for a long while.  You can learn as much as you desire without joining a forum IMO, but sometimes having a voice is useful.  I am hoping to become more of a member of the community, and less of an outsider, watching the world of Bitcoin as a spectator.  It makes a good spectator sport, but sometimes it is worthwhile to step into the light and onto the playing field.

I joined this forum because I see this technology as the future of business. I get the same feeling as I did when I first started using the Internet. With the benefit of hindsight, I see an opportunity to develop services that embrace this technology, thus both strengthening cryptocurrencies and the communities that surround them. I envision a time when the average human being, regardless of nationality, can participate in a border-less economy. My focus is on travel, so my ideal would be to utilize Bitcoin as a means to travel the world, using it to rent a room for a night, purchase local transportation and participating in local entertainment.

I believe this forum represents the heartbeat of this dynamic and amazing community. I am grateful to see such robust interaction.
