what is lalena basis?

Thanks for asking!

Our purpose is to bring cryptocurrency and blockchain to an audience of non-technical and non-finance people. Lalena is a ten year project to build out an open-source suite of services and tools to members so they may learn and launch their own ventures. We are doing this through a variety of ways through documentation, open-source software, and venture. Our membership system is our beta KYC and governance system that we are releasing as our first open-source tool. Our members, through signing up, are beta testing it. It's already available on GitHub. As new features and new development is done to mature the system, we will release more LLA that can be claimed through the platform.

Lalena's governance will determine the investment strategy and options to club members. Cryptocurrency assets will be voted on and provided at a discounted rate to LLA holders. The goal of this is to help non-technical people build a junior cryptocurrency wallet and teach some of the basic economics of the ecosystem.

We are strategically releasing LLA as we grow as a collective and reserving holdings to use for operations and an even larger pool to focus on a charity-connected platform where early adopters can vote on charitable contributions. It's our ultimate goal to inflate that pool and make charitable giving part of the 1.0 launch of our open-source suite of tools.

Lalena also functions as a digital agency and we will use our currency so others can lease our services from our members. From app and web development to copy writing and marketing. Next year development will begin on a client / vendor portal so any LLA holder can advertise their services and clients can hire teams with it.

The Lalena team comes from a variety of different industries including (but not limited to) non-profit fundraising, digital and video production, marketing and advertising, and fintech. We are hoping to combine the needs of many industries and lower some barriers for those looking to enter this space.

Nope! Still very much alive!

We have finished our second round of token distribution recently and are now working on the next phase of our membership platform. The next update will kick off another round of distribution for early members. This update will include MetaMask integration that will allow members to unlock features and tools on our platform. The first tool, which is currently in testing, will be released alongside the next update. We expect to have a more formal announcement on this before the end of the year.

Do you still intend on doing buybacks for the token? It seems this will make it very hard for the token to be listed on major exchanges.

At the moment, we are exploring various avenues for buybacks. We’ve begun doing it in small doses before the last round of distribution and redistributed 10% of what was bought back. This will continue as we unlock future rounds. Those buybacks happened on EtherDelta. Since we are still developing of suite of products, we are waiting on pursuing a major exchange for now until our first beta product has shipped, which is being tested now.
