Title: 5970 for 40 bitcoins
Post by: nemo on June 25, 2011, 03:06:18 PM
If anybody is interested in buying a 5970 for 40 coins (firm) I'd be down to let it go. I mined on it 24/7 for about a month and two weeks. Still has well over a year warranty on it. Exact same make and model as this one here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180682982965&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180682982965&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT)

Will take a picture confirming I have the card if anybody is interested.

Interested in any trades + BTC?

A 5870 with a Zalman VF3000A, runs cool and quiet.
See it here, http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=22336.0

Sorry, but my room is a sauna and I've been dying to play the new Alice and Duke Nukem. I'm gunna have to call it quits on the mining.

No. I sold it somewhere else for usd. I like how I quit mining because the fans were too loud and my room was too warm. I was "only" making half a bitcoin a day when I pulled the plug. Fuck. Time flies.

Sorry to say it man, but I was leaving the room instead of quitting mining... Let the room on fire and rent across the street!
You are right though, time (and BTC) flies.

Those days you could mine in winter only, and it would have still made you rich 9 years later. But very few really understood this, and they're all rich now, indeed (or dead).

In 2011 I was still participating in SETI@home (I did for more than 15 years) so I was heating and spending electricity with no "return", although I liked it.

like any investment, being first is better and easier than being smart!
