Like decimal, etc. No need to have Eth funds when transferring tokens to your MEW. BUT if you want to exchange it to BTC for example, your tokens need an exchanger platform like Bittrex and you also need Eth that will serve as your 'gas' or transaction fee. Mostly you have to wait, until your tokens can be sold.
