Title: Mining software for Android

Is there any software mining for Android and which one is better

I don't think so. And even if there is any, they will probably be a waste of time. A smartphone cannot earn you a lot of money by mining. People may create various applications naming them miners but they do this just to get some downloads for their applications but the applications do not generate any profit for the user. I have tried a lot of them already, and believe me, you better think of something else.

A cortex A9 (a common cellphone cpu) hashes at 1 Mh/s ... Compare this with an S9 ASIC which hashes at 14000000 Mh/s. you'd need 14 million cellphones to have the equivalent of 1 Antminer S9. An S9 makes about $14/day (before power costs), so a cellphone would make $14/14.000.000 = $0.000001 /day... That's less than 40 cents per 1000 years. After you substract your power cost, the cellphone will give you negative profit (without a doubt).

In Reality, There is an app for Bitcoin Mining in Android Phone. But, I never Heard That it is Actually Paying.

Before, I came Through Online Mining And I search For it Many Times,
and At Last, I Didn't found any Reliable,

I also Download Software apps In Playstore, Bitcoin Miners,
Also, Waste of Time.

And, The Worst case is It can Make your Phone Bootloop.

I feel the same old discussion coming up... Yes, there are apps out there that are able to do a sha256d hash of a block header while incrementing a nonce...

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.justanothertry.bitcoinminer&hl=en
If you start reading the replys, the first reply actually indicating a hashrate was a guy who go ~6kh/s on a "Snapdragon 801". Other hashrates indicated were ~3kh/s, 2.7 kh/s,...

There are 7.600.000.000 people in the world. If they all had a relatively decent cellphone hashing at 6000 h/s (6kh/s), the total world population's hashrate would be 4.560.000.000.000 h/s

One single antminer S9 hashes at 14.000.000.000.000 hashes/second
4.560.000.000.000 / 14.000.000.000.000 = 0.32

This means that every person in the world should have 3 cellphones mining 24/7 with such an app to have the same hashrate as a single antminer S9

So, in conclusion, are there apps that can mine BTC... Theoretically, yes, there are apps that mine bitcoin. It's also possible to write an excel sheet that mines bitcoin, or you can mine bitcoin using pen and paper... However, in reality, the odds are so small i personally think it's better to say such a thing is impossible. If you tell people there are apps that mine bitcoin, it will only inspire them to run such an app, burn a lot of power, burn their phone, get nothing in return. By saying it's impossible, (hopefully) you don't give them crazy idears.

Indeed, in the mining on the phone does not make sense, because he does not have such capacities to farm worthy money, unless you want to get a penny.

Are there any coins that are only mined on cell phones?

there used to be projects like mangocoinz that portrayed themselfs as cellphone minable
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=902788.0

But if i understood the concept correctly (i never took the time to read the whitepaper tough), it was a (pre?)mined that was distributed to users when they ran the mangocoinz app on their cellphone while exercising. This makes them not cellphone minable, but you sstill needed a cellphone to receive mangocoinz.

As far as i know, there are no pow algo's that are designed to give an edge to cellphone cpu's or gpu's.

Lol, not their hash rate is so bad bro. Miner gate will detect the your mobiles core and mines with its hash rate bro. If you have start mining with the minergate in windows platform. If computer enables with the GPU cards you will be able to find the multiple hash rates mining in the software. If you runs it with all your cores even your computer fall down and hang up in other operations.

I don't really understand why people are making Mining software for android, while smart phone functions are only for communicating, though now they can also enjoy high quality games. But still, I think the smartphone is not a land or container for mining crypto currency.with the specifications and the current price of smartphone, I do not think it will be worth the income gained from mining using smartphone.

But you can use the IoT networks connected to you smartphone to mine crypto. I even heard about viruses that utilizes your smart-home system (basically everything almost down to your oven) to mine btc. That's kinda scarry.
You probably will not pay attention to higher electricity bills if you afford smart house, and someone else would benefit from it.

Lets take a look from other side. People build monster pc's for mining, and even such powerfull machine needs a lot of time to get a cryptocurrency. So comparing power of  a Phone with a monster PC, guess how much time will it take to get a simple cryptocurrency, it gonna take years, do you need this at all? So, i hope no questions more :)

It is possible using the Online Pool Miners using your browser but don't expect too much.
I tried this and got a hilariously low result like 10-20H/s. That has an average of 1 satoshi per 2 minutes.

In the contrast, If you are able to mine about 100devices that can earn a profit.
Definitely not an option for a regular user.

Agree with such mentions about multidevices. Like hacking about 1000 top android phones - will give you a result, Not sure about mentioning the smart house system, cause its not even as powerfull as phone, but if hackers use it maybe they get smth out of it BTC

I feel the same with the two of you. There is no legit app for mining bitcoin. It always reset when you're already close to their withdrawal threshold. I hate those apps.

I haven't read the whitepaper of either of those coins, altough i seriously doubt they're using a POW algorithm that gives an edge to a mobile CPU. I can be wrong, but i seriously doubt it.

There used to be a couple of coins that had the same idear. Mangocoinz was one of them. IIRC, the coin was pre-mined by it's creator, and he created an app that would give you a portion of the premined coins for running the app on your cellphone while walking. It was rumoured that you mined mangocoinz with your cellphone, while in reality it was completely premined.

Like i said, i haven't read the whitepapers of sweatcoins and bitwalking, so i could be wrong here, but i'm assuming they have the same kind of deal. Either that, or the creator invented an unconventional POW algorithm, and he refuses to share the sourcecode, so it can only be mined using the binaries he/she is providing (that is a different theory to pull this one off).

I haven't read their whitepapers either,I found out about bitwalking from the news section here
it was a year ago or so,the idea sounded nice-I wanted to lose weight and start to exercise myself
so getting paid for that was appealing :)
judging from the description they use POW algo but it was connected to their pedometer or activity app
i.e. you have smartphone on you, wear a fitness bracelet or a heart rate monitor or similar and you get paid when you do some phisical activity
but since there are plenty of smart guys out there it wasn't too hard to create some sort of a mechanical swinging thingy to simulate walking or exercising
also the money had to come from somewhere, most likely from all sorts of ads in the app so the coin's value was too low initially
to entice users to download and use the app
but the idea is good, its the implementation that is bad (usual)
if any brave soul here downloads and installs it and tries and then leaves his comments about it,would be greatly appreciated

Nice explanation sir,  meaning theres is no way to mine bitcoin in a smart phone.  Using a expensive mining rigs are so expensive to mined bitcoin for such a small reward of satoshi. Mining bitcoin now i think its not totally profitable unless you are a richman who have more money that want to experience what mining is and how its totally works.

What do you say about this what Samsung did with couple of galaxy S5?
I had already seen a similar article and gave my complete opinion about it, but since this article is actually showing the real numbers, i wanted to elaborate:
In my opinion, samsung engineers are looking for new and exiting things to do with their old phones, probably as a marketing stunt???

If you look at the picture showing the hashrate and the power usage, you see the following numbers:
A Galaxy S3 hashes at 2 kh/s while consuming 4 watts.

The YEARLY revenue WITHOUT power costs (but with a 1% pool fee and without mining fees) of such a setup would be:
(((((2000 * 12,5 * 600 * 65535) / 2^48) / 1452839779145) * 6 * 24) * 0.99) *365
=
0,00000000013 BTC/year

That's correct, you'd have to mine 100 years with a galaxy S3 cellphone to actually mine 1 satoshi!

I see these trials as either failed experiments, marketing stunts or maybe samsung is giving their engineers the opportunity to learn about bitcoin so they can one day produce a profitable asic... But that's about it. It's nice to look at, it's good that they want to invest some time, but it's certainly not worth trying out for yourself.

Mining with mobile devices isn't a smart idea. Your hashrate will be to low to earn any money. Apart from unprofitability, your battery would die really fast :)

If a laptop cannot mine effectively then iOS nor Android will be able to either. It is too competitive with the highest spec computer rigs.
Soon only super computers will be able to do it.
Although I do hope phones will be able to do it in the future as it would stop me from using my phone constantly.

Although I do hope phones will be able to do it in the future as it would stop me from using my phone constantly.

This is a popular misconception... A supercomputer is allmost as bad as a normal computer mining-wise.
A supercomputer is basically a whole bunch of nodes, small servers that can perform a task in parrallel. Because there are 1000's of nodes working on the same task, the task is finished 1000's times faster than on a single server.

for example, the Tianhe-2 had 16.000 nodes with (in total) 32,000 Intel Xeon E5-2692 12C with 2.200 GHz 48,000 Xeon Phi 31S1P coprocessors.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tianhe-2

I can only estimate the total hashrate, but it would be around
(32000 processors *66000000 hashes/sec) +  (48000 processors * 140000000 hashes/sec) = 8,8 Th/s
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Non-specialized_hardware_comparison#Intel
This is only an estimation, but i estimate the total hashrate of this supercomputer with both processors and coprocessors running at 100% to be around 8,8 Th/s,
A single antminer S9 hashes at 14 Th/s.

The S9 has a power draw of 1,4 Kw, and a cost of $1500
The supercomputer has a power draw of 24 MW (24.000 Kw) and a cost of $390.000.000

Now, which one would YOU run if you had to pick one of those two for the purpose of bitcoin mining?

Its honestly not worth mining on Android at the moment. You would be better off finding faucets or joining some Airdrops.

The miners that are out there drain your battery or clog your device and normally have very high payment thresholds to reach.

Don't mine on your Android its not profitable at all you'd be paying more to charge your device! Although there is a recent cryptocurrency thats been getting quite a bit of attention called Electroneum and can be mined using your smart phone the reason It won't negatively affect your phone that much is because it's more of a mining experience and like a mining simulator so it won't be too heavy on your device you can check it out it might interest you  ;)

My experience mining on android phone using minergate application, make cell phone become very hottest and battery be drop. Reduction of cores to slow cell phone temperature cause the results in mined yield decreases.

If I may give a suggestion, you should not use cell phone to mining because it can cause damage to the cell phone itself.

For maximum results better use pc through install app or cloud mining.

There is an app on Google Play Store as "Electroneum" by using which we can mine 5-7 ETN daily. Its very simple just install Electroneum App ans Register. After registration please use my code "5F386C" for extra hash rate.

judging from the description they use POW algo but it was connected to their pedometer or activity app
i.e. you have smartphone on you, wear a fitness bracelet or a heart rate monitor or similar and you get paid when you do some phisical activity
but since there are plenty of smart guys out there it wasn't too hard to create some sort of a mechanical swinging thingy to simulate walking or exercising
also the money had to come from somewhere, most likely from all sorts of ads in the app so the coin's value was too low initially
to entice users to download and use the app
but the idea is good, its the implementation that is bad (usual)
if any brave soul here downloads and installs it and tries and then leaves his comments about it,would be greatly appreciated

actually i downloaded and am using this app right now.
it's not too bad but from what I read there's a cap to how much you can walk per day but so far have not reached that cap yet. probably am not walking far enough.
but so far there's nothing that can be exchanged for the coins. the store they mentioned is not yet released from what i know.

There is an app on Google Play Store as "Electroneum" by using which we can mine 5-7 ETN daily. Its very simple just install Electroneum App ans Register. After registration please use my code "5F386C" for extra hash rate.

Use the link below to download the app=====

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.electroneum.mobile&hl=en

Please use my code for extra hash rate "5F386C"

heard about this as well.
personally am not using this but from what I've heard, you're not actually mining using your phone. not sure if i'm correct about this though.

do not use the phone to mine ETN, no profit just wasting your time. do not believe if anyone says that mining using the phone would be profitable.

Mining for Android I do not like, agree that the smartphone is mainly exclusively for communication. But, they are, these smartphones are not a very reliable base for mining and I, with my bitter experience,.in this might be certain. But things can change...(

Do you want to use your android phone to mine? If so, I suggest you give up the idea.

that's less than 40 cents per 1000 years.

hey man, slow and steady wins the race, right??

Seriously tho. If you really want to "mine" with your phone, real PoW mining ain't happening, but you could try:

electroneum: fake mining but real coins, basically a faucet that imitates a mining experience

ethereum spinner/bitcoin spinner: faucets. spin a little wheel and get some satoshis to your coinbase account. yay!!

storm play: "gamified micro tasks on the blockchain" or something. basically like a bad version of swagbucks, but on the blockchain. get storm, eth, or btc i think

swag bucks: you could just trade the fiat for crypto lol

steemit: post on the social network and get rewarded in steem. you can do it from your phone

lit: kinda like a snapchat clone, but BLOCKCHAIN (or something). you can earn mithril by taking and posting pics

staking labs: you can send your coins there and they stake them in a pool/shared masternode. you can check it on your phone, i guess

but there's really no point in doing so.
you're just degrading your device even faster than they already are

its fake mining, no actual hashing is going on
