Im a newbie
I see lot of airdrop here, and I want to partecipate, but I don't understand how to do it.

I have to send my eth adresse, but how can I have the "airdropped Crypto"?

Every one is different. When you go to them they all have a different list of requirements. I typically use mobile wallet imtoken because the airdropped coin is dropped into your wallet for you. All you do is send them your eth receiving address and imToken creates the custom ticker for you. You can also check etherscan.io on the transaction, contract address and decimals to make sure it’s all right.

As a friendly reminder, any airdrop that asks for your private keys is a scam.

Most airdrops you see nowadays are indeed on the eth network, when you have given your address to the dev of said project (through pm or usually through a form on a website) they will eventually send coins to your wallet.

airdrop is an easy way to get bitcoin from this forum, you just send email address and wallet address, to get the airdropp submission usually also have to confirm email after you register. depending on the rules of airdrop, each airdrop rule is different

I am also still confused with airdrop. I am currently studying more. But when I look at it in passing. The essence of airdrop is token / coin directly with the conditions specified. and every airdrop is different.

Yeah, they'll generally post the rules for the airdrop in the announcement thread. A bunch of them don't ever pay you / don't amount to anything btw

Airdrops give free coins to those who are interested to support their projects, compared to ICO's airdrops only needs your effort, however some were not true. Lucky are those who are given free coins from airdrop but did not invest anything but time, and the price is getting high, so its profitable. Unlike in ICO's we are to contribute something for the project development which are financially risky.

I have no idea, what airdrop is all about. I will do some research about this. I read some comments and find it so much interesting. I also want to give my effort and get some coins.

If the airdrop is asking for your etherium address, it is because the new token created will be part of the etherium blockchain.  You need to download a wallet, like myetherwallet (make sure you get the official one, lots of scams with this wallet), and send them your address (and as other have said, your address is different than your private key, it's okay to send your address, but never send your private key to anyone).  If the airdrop is legit, and you are accepted, the tokens should show up in your myetherwallet eventually.

There are many versions of air drops ... this example was for etherium.  Waves is like etherium, so if the airdrop asks for your waves wallet, it works the same, you just just need to download a waves wallet to get started.

Just do what they wanted you to do. Just don't put your personal privatekey when participating on a airdrop. Always take caution when puting your personal infoes.

Airdrop is like they are giving away their tokens for free so the community would spread.

+1 here, I encountered one Airdrop when I was very new to this kind of marketing where it was asking for MEW private key. It was posted on FB and encouraging many referrals. I forgot the name of airdrop though. And of course, I created MEW and given my private key and for further research it was scam. Good thing it wasn't my primary MEW and no funds at all since it was like a day or 2 for me venturing crypto  :P

Anyway, it's easy to join airdrop, there are different ways, some want you to join their own forum, refer to social media etc. Just study and research which airdrop you wnat to join in so that it will not waste your time and effort :) good luck!

It actually depends on the specific project conducting an airdrop. I know you noticed deeponion signature. That is an airdrop but it requires wearing signature and doing posting. Other airdrops will only require you to send your ETH address to them. Others require you to create an account to their site. There are so many specific instructions how to join airdrops. Just look at their instructions carefully.

That depends on the project. They are usually using signature campaigns, twitter and facebook campaign, avatar campaigns, reddit campaigns and other forms of advertising in able to receive the airdrop. You must participate at any of these campaigns to be eligible for receive the airdrop. There's no difference from altcoin bounties at the marketplace. But newbies i think are not allowed to participate because they have not build enough trust yet. Better reach jr. member or above to be eaeily accepted at their airdrop or bounty program. Also the higher the rank the higher the stakes you might get.

When participating airdrop. Don't use exchange ethereum hot wallet address. You will not receive your tokens. Use myetherwallet to generate address and download.

Airdrops are mostly easy to join as you just have to sign up under the publishing entity.

Always read the instructions given in the announcement post, which you will obviously find at the start of topic thread. Go through it thoroughly because sometimes instructions are tricky and you may loose money for silly mistakes.

There will be either sign up form (google based) or there will be their own sign up form. Just fill in the details and then you can checkout your enrolment in the Sam thread under status doc.

Not all air drop are legit but when there it is free and less risk and no data will be compromise then by all means participate. Usually they list the requirements such as email and some provides google docs to signup. Others just ask your name and ETH address.

Not all airdrops allow newbies to participate but if you can find one, the instructions are straight forward.  Some just require you to fill out the a form with your username, Ethereum address and email or you might have to send the Dev a PM with that information.  It's a pretty quick service as long as you meet the requirements.  

We should read the rules in the thread, whether still providing or already closed, if it is still open and meet the rules, please register.

Well of course, asking for your private key is a serious thing. The word itself tells it all, as being private you shouldn't be disclosed to anyone of it, you should be the only one that have access to that. If an airdrop ask this to do so, just quit to it.

OP, since you're new here, I think you should focus on getting your rank higher to be able to join in the airdrop. There are rules applied for every airdrop. So just wait to be a junior member.

Get a waves wallet and an etherium wallet. Because most of the airdrops here are using those wallets. Also, you have to read everything about the airdrop because one airdrop differs from another. Some are easy while others aren’t. Some are scams and some are legit. So you have to use common sense when participating in any airdrop. Some may also require you to download their wallet. So just read a lot and don’t rely on others for basic information.

I was looking at https://airdropalert.com/. Most of them send me to a bitcointalk.org thread but then I get the message "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you." I'm not sure how I would even find out the requirements for these coins and if it is just because I am a newbie to these forums and can't access for that reason or if the page was removed.

If you get an error message when you click the link to bitcointalk, it means that your status (newbie) is not high enough to participate in the airdrop.

You can participate in any airdrop campaign by following the instructions of community of cryptocurrency. Usually You can find Airdrop campaign on Bitcointalk.org, Reddit, Medium and many other bitcoin & cryptocurrency community websites. Instructions may include, by filling in the airdrop form, collecting your information related to your ETH account if it is contract base tokens or coins. If you want to participate in more Airdrop. Basically premined coin distribution is airdrop. If you'll browse here in altcoin section, you'll find numerous airdrops and you can get the instructions there how u can start with it.

Airdrop is simply an incentive given to those who meet the minimum requirements as set by the offering team in order for them to support the team's project by carrying out tasks specified by the project dev. So always read the rules guiding a given airdrop before you join in order to know the minimum requirements, the role you are expected to play, the reward you will receive and how you will receive it. I recently participated in one and was rewarded with above 2M tokens. Hope it will amount to something big in the nearest future.

Airdrop is simple concept where you will get free tokens in associate wallet for example if airdrop dev is asking ethereum wallet they will send erc20 compatible tokens to your ETH address . If devs are asking waves then it will be based on waves platform . Your doing nothing in airdrop just filling the form or sending message with associate address you will receive tokens once distribution started . Its just like dropping from sky and we are catching using our wallets.

First open my ether wallet account and waves Wallet account. Second you must have hundred followers in twitter  and hundred friends in facebook. Then you open any bounty see there social media campaign and fill the form of twitter and facebook and read bounty rules care fully and follow it. Always filled the form you must check spreadsheet link where you can find your name in the list. It's is the way to apply the bounty.

each airdrop have its own rules so just follow it, and sometime newbie rank not get reward so it is better to get your rank up and you can join some bountys and airdrops
