I'm still trying to figure out what al these garbage e coins are coming from? I still fail to understand where the money is coming from. It seems like money is created out of thin air. Do these kind of coins actually serve some kind of purpose or are they just a plain cash grab?

When you see marketcap it doesnt mean that this is how much money is inside of something. It just means these are how many coins there are (x), this it the price (y). Ergo, we have x * y = marketcap. Can be misleading

at times to beginners I feel because I originally thought it meant money inside a project too.

Why many coin e has been popping up since the eBTC exists? I do not know why people interested with this coin even do not know the advantages and the plan of this coin.

While people are so unsure about what all these "e" coins are, alot of hype and made were made by investors that went in early. I believe it is about 70x in a week for ebtc if i am not wrong? It is difficult not to pay attention to them. As long as a coin can make us money i think we should check what's happening

I think around 4 eltcoin already exist in this day, too many clone and that makes other are useless. Too many shit token and that must worth zero in the future, because the dev are making it with a little value of ether.

How to get free eltc?

ELTC2 is the token from http://www.eltc.io/ .

They fucked up their airdrop and have messaged all users saying they abandon their project & that the tokens is worthless, & they are forking (?) the smart contract.

what does it mean they are forking the contract? I didn't get that mail.

From what I have read I think it means that they are going to go back to a certain block on the chain and fork it off from that making a new ledger with the corrections cancelling out any trades made. But Idk much about this stuff. This was my 1st token I received. I was up to about $250. Now nothing.... Dang. Hopefully this is not the end of ELTC2.

I would like to understand if these eLTC2 tokens are dead and worthless for good and forever or if there is a tiny possibility they recover their value...

Thank you for the answer, I normally only work with mined cryptos, so I had no idea what a fork would mean for a Erc20 token.

This thread depresses me.  These coins aren't 'real' and their only purpose is to create wealth for the group behind them.  eLTC, just like eBTC, does nothing new, solves no problem, and would be worthless if they didn't have an established coin in their name.  If this EXACT same coin launched with the name of eACME it'd get little to no attention and be forgotten as fast as it launched.  These are the things that will damage crypto in the long run.

Those coin are just another type of shitcoins and this one will not last for long months or maybe it will stay for a week since many of there coin holders are dumping it and same as the dev of that coin are killing the price since the main intention of that coin is to scam and trap those fool traders who think that there coin may get a good future.

Both were the same useless coin, i just think about the eltc2 already announced to doing a hardfork regarding a lot of people are cheating the campaign or airdrop. But for the useless coin and this was pretty strange in my opinion because that was generating for nothing.

i notice yesterday that i recive my eltc in my etherwallet from their airdrop recenly and  now i got 1000eltc but the value of eltc now is friggin low , so i hope that soon it will pump just like ebtc if they can list it to some major exchange sites like kraken or bitrtrex.

This coin has nothing to do with value. It's a pump and dump coin.

They are pretty strange. First they wanted to end their project then they decided to start it back up again.

The new one is good, and eLitecoin is faster rising now. If you see the market cap the value of it is high and the volume with 24 hour is faster with 58% BTC domain. And this figure of market cap can affect elitecoin to rise faster.

At the end, no one gave him anything so he erased everything... Telegram, site etc

We have to deal with it... it's dead... unless someone bought the entire thing from him I suppose.

This guy should have tried his best. This ecoin has a potential still despite anything that's happening. I believe it'll fall this time but someone good will make this a better coin in future.
As at now, no one controls it and what is dangerous in holding or buying is that if the price shoots, the owner would dump again aND AGAIN. He still has some left overs and ready to sell when price rise it show how stupid he must be. He wanted to be a billionaire just one day. and when he saw that many were selling, he got angry and dumped dumped until the price became insignificant. Shame unto him wherever he is. There's no hard fork, even if there is one, I entreat you guys not to join his projects any more. He is a professional scammer.
