If you have a laptop that's powerful enough to be usable for mining, and you don't care about ruining it by pegging it 24/7, you may as well sell the laptop and trade for the cryptos you wanted to obtain by mining. Just to add on, the mobile GPUs on notebooks can also be used for mining and it typically runs cooler than the CPUs. The inability to cool itself efficiently is really the deal breaker for laptop mining. Yes.Mining in a desktop is very though .You are speaking about laptop.!!!In desktop PC itself you need of high configuration and Graphics cards to do Mining and Cooler is must to avoid of burst.It's not possible to do mining with Laptop.If you want to do so.It's some how possible.But you need to inverse double amount as you inverse for Desktop PC. you can run or Aeon miner ( cpu miner) or some VGA miner with a play with intensity setting you may achieve some results you may earn like 0.5-0.7$ usd with that within you temp limit for 78-82C if you will beyond that limit then you have risk to burn you laptop.. Most laptops nowadays are designed to be super slim and mining often makes the fans spin at very high rates which can cause early fan failure on the laptop and heat throttling and just plain high temps. Throttling also means you'll be getting less performance on most laptops. There's a reason why mining is usually only done on desktops, and there's good reasons why.
