I love how these media outlets alternately deride and exalt bitcoin.

Charlie's "Cash with wings" tagline is golden. Is he credited with that or did he steal it from somewhere?

Google search results imply that it started with him. Let's hope it goes viral.

Bitcoin was actually designed to be a lot like GOLD. It works like "GOLD with wings"

I think the "digital cash" / "cash with wings" and "digital gold" / "gold that you can teleport" analogies are both useful. One thing that really drove home Bitcoin's revolutionary nature for me was the recognition that it combined (and exceeded) the best features of what you might call "the Monetary Big 3": digital fiat, physical (cash) fiat, and gold, while avoiding each of their respective fatal flaws. And so I frequently describe Bitcoin to people by saying that it's more reliably scarce than gold, more transactionally efficient than modern electronic banking, and it enables greater financial privacy than cash.

"Cash with wings".  Perfect.
