Time to invest? Bitcoin tops the $5,000 mark

I think bitcoin will continue to grow at least until the hard fork is here. Because many people are buying bitcoin now for the dividend from bitcoin fork.
Other than that bitcoin itself have much more potential to grow by itself. Other than the transaction fee on the coin, I like everything of bitcoin and hope it will be mainstream one day.
But bitcoin is still volatile. So it will see many ups and down in the future as it did before.

yup... lots of fomos will be buying bitcoin now. Will hit 6k within no time..... new support will be at 5k.

Well, It's a little bit too late for investing at this point because you could've easily get it cheaper before but will definitely not hurt to accumulate more. Because as long as you are investing for the long term and the development of bitcoin looks active and promising, there is nothing to be afraid of.

Anyone who buys in now is buying in at an all time high.   Same was true in 2013, and those people would have made a good return, but it's super risky.   But damn nice to see bitcoin above $5000! I'm ready to do a little dance, except I've pretty much sold everything I had.  Oh well, easy come, easy go.

I will rather wait for some correction than buying at current pumped price. Already sold majority of my bitcoin and waiting with USDT in hand to buy back some cheap bitcoins and altcoin, I am quite sure market will correct little bit before moving up again. 10%+ rise in just 24 hour looks quite unhealthy.  ;D

I would like to have bought 50 bitcoins at each of the last 50 ATH's. In retrospect I would gladly have foregone buying the dips. But hindsight is great. I think we will see many more highs that will make today look small.

It doesn't matter i would still buy though 2013 ATH got broken and 2017 ATH will be too in future.Bitcoin price in 5 years will me much more then what it is today so for those who are for quick buck don't buy it but people like me looking to invest long term shouln't be worried.  :)

Really great even I noticed that in CoinDesk bro. Value bumps today almost 400$ USD but the value may bump 200 or more tomorrow also I think sicne we getting adoption from the corporates.
If you bought bitcoin in 4.6 k also now the investors can find the profit more now by looking the price.

If you wanna invest in anything, invest in the alts. Bitcoin cannot do what most alts can do, it simply isn't built for that. The alts are super cheap right now, when bitcoin drops back down (because it WILL drop back down), the alts will go back up, at which point you can sell some of them and hold some bitcoin for a while until the next rise, rinse and repeat

the bitcoin increase in price is undisputedly  a positive sign and also in the right direction. i think its a welcomed development

No its not the best time to buy bitcoin on its peak price or hyped price knowing that the cause of such increase because on the upcoming bitcoin gold event but if you do buy bitcoins for the sake of free bitcoin gold then its still possible but would be somehow risky if you wont able to get out on the high price because I do really have a doubt that the price will surely dip again once bitcoin gold have been accumulated by its users but if we do talk for long term then anytime would be a best buy considering price is still young.

I consider myself as a longtime holder , i bought everything i want to hold long term but just still i did not buy bitcoin and i started to be so mad at myself i hope i can buy before it goes to 10k.

I think this 5k mark is just the start, it can reach 6k in the next few weeks until the fork. Is it the best time to invest? Maybe, only you can answer that. I mean it is not the best time as you will be buying high not unless you are planning to sell it right after you gain profit from it. In short this is just short trades you are doing but if you plan on buying then holding i think you will be at a disadvantage not unless you are very willing to risk you money and wait until price reach more than 10k with thes you just doubled you profit. If you want to cash in you better do it now.

Bitcoin is rising and alts are going down, as most of the people are selling alts to buy bitcoin, such high demand causes the price increase. If the people (were holding alts before) will realize the extra bitcoin gold after the fork, they will start to sell bitcoin to buy back alts, so price will decrease a bit. For long term holders it's not a problem, but if somebody wants to buy the very first bitcoin, maybe this is not the perfect timing...

It depends if you want to invest long-term and wait for future growth or want quick profit. Price may fluctuate,as usual, so perhaps best to try to catch a dip.

Now it has already reached 5,300 $. It is incredibly. I think Bitcoin will continue to grow further. So it's never too late to make an investment. But of course Bitcoin is very unstable so it's  price will drop and grow again many times.

So here are the questions...

1) What exchanges have stated they will be acknowledging bitcoin gold?  Where is it best to have your bitcoin?

2) Once Bitcoin Gold exists are we going to see a massive sell off of bitcoin once people get the "dividend"?

Yes, as expected already, Bitcoin keep increasing and its price actually is 5300$ almost. Thats really the best opportunity for the long term holders, and for BTC traders in general, because the price will continue rising most likely in the few next months at least.
It is time to invest and buy some bitcoins, especially if your plan is long term holding.

I certainly agree that, bitcoin will continue to grow and it will become more popular and famous. Furthermore, many people already start to buy it and bitcoin is one high demand on online market and many people want to have that. I think the price of bitcoin will rapidly increase in the near future.

Well to honest i would say that YOU HAVE MISSED IT , and you should Never Ever try to chase your entry , as it is not a good idea to take positions right now at the resistance which is against the thumb rule of investing, Never buy near the resistance. So it is better if you enter at new dips or wait for a pullback in the trend and then enter your trade with strict stop loss. Now breaking to new highs, $5000 will act as your new support, while your next target would move to $5500 to $6000.

If you want high risk low reward investments, invest in bitcoin right now. It might get to 6K but once the bitcoingold craze is over it'll dump hard, probably back to a little under 5K. It'll pick back up, sure, I could see us talking about a 10K bitcoin by summer next year, but right now the alts are where the big bucks can be made. They're all so cheap right now, not because they lost their value, but because people wanted 'free money' with bitcoingold, thats it.

My expectation is that bitcoin will hover around 5k for a while. In the past it always crossed all the important values at least 3 or 5 times.

The only time to answer this will be in a year or two, but I suspect that most people who were buying today think that its a good time to buy. Looking back it would have been good to buy, even at all the past all time highs. Lets wait and see.

At the previous fork (early August), the price went down before the fork. Many people must have panic sold out of fear what the fork might bring. Right after the fork, the price went up a lot.
With this in mind, it seems many people are expecting a rise after the fork, which means it rises already before the fork. I'm curious to see if the price will continue upwards after the fork. If all upward pressure is now released before the fork, it could go down again after the fork.
Then again, in crypto, I'm getting used to that. Up and down 40% happens so often, it's just "normal".

It is very diffcult to predict but iff you have a long term vision it is a good moment to invest, no doubt.

Not only did it hit a all time high but stayed relatively stable during that process.

This is a right to talk about bitcoin yes it is all time hit a high level price but sometime down and sometime or some days latter it will be a more grow and more powerful. so it is time to buy bitcoin for our future life. Already i'm buy 100BTC and i sold in next year. 

It is amazing to see the way that bitcoin is rising, i can not even believe how much did it rise in just only 48 hours, from $4500 to $5350 in just a few hours.. this is incredible, if i have to be honest, i though that bitcoin was going to drop to $3000 again because of the fork, but i am wrong, it will probably rise a lot more until the fork happens, but i dont know.
Maybe we can see a $6000 price before the end of the month.

Hello author! Yes of course who was buying its for low price it is amazing dividends for now but all people could not be successful and not all the time also. When you think to do something you need don't pay all your attentions to the words and avoid the hype because it specific world and you never know who are typing here messages and with which motivation

Just remember that the last All Time High was $4900, and now it is only increasing, it is incredible how faster it is going up, it is just like a beer, the foam is only going up day by day.
I wonder if there is going to be any other dump in some time, i hope that no  ;D
Next ATH will probably be 5,5k if we are lucky, maybe a little bit more, but there is no way that it can be 6k before the end of this month, please, be more realistic people

Well there is always an opportunity to invest in Bitcoin even if the actual price is a bit high.

We predict a lot more value and higher price in the future, so if you re looking to hold for long period it will be surely profitable.

I guess it'll go to 6K and drop back down to 4500, at which point the alts will make their comeback. Invest in the alts now, invest in bitcoin when the alts are surpassing ATH's left and right (which will happen sooner than later)

5k$ is just an arbitrary figure. The latest rise probably has roots in forthcoming forks. My guess is that bitcoin will continue to climb, probably fall maybe under 5000 and after the fork continue steady rise.

I have long expected the price to rise and of course I am happy about it, but when everything has already happened, I do not know how to react to everything. we hope that bitcoin will not fall again.

Why not? Wouldn't that be a great opportunity to buy? Or do you believe bitcoin will only go to 6K once and never surpass that point again? Once you start asking yourself these questions, you'll find that dips, crashes and FUD are all ways to make a good amount of money because the rich people pick up what the scared people drop

At this point, I'd say it's never too late to invest. I see that you say that further on in your statement, but I found it odd how you didn't start off with it. I agree completely with the long term investment idea as well. I think with bitcoin, you can't really look at the past and get caught up in it. You have to continually think about the future. With the future in mind, we can definitely see the prices rising even further up, potentially into the 10k zone as well.

I don't think buying at an all-time high is generally a good idea, but I don't think buying at regular intervals and dollar-cost averaging, whether high or low, is bad either. The key is diversification and dollar-cost averaging. I still think bitcoin has a promising future.

It's not only due the BGold hardfork, most people don't even know about that. Other fundamentals are making bitcoin bullish. Wall street money is coming soon with Ledger X. Goldmans Sachs and Wells Fargo want to get in and open trading funds. This alone will make BTC go $10000+. Now we just need to get past the segwit2x attack and we will moon further.

Technical analysis was also bullish on every time chart. Daily, 4 hour, monthly, you name it. Everything bullish.
                      

If bitcoin keeps going the way it's going it is a safe investment however you are buying at the highest it has ever been now you will just have to wait for dips to buy.

I believe its not late cos bitcoin has that tendency of going up and up, earlier this year i predicted it will reach $5k by december and see we are in october and its already above 5k, the sky is the limit for btc.

Its quite risky if we start investing now because the value of bitcoin is very high compare before, I guess you better invest when the price goes down so you can have a good profit after few months, but if you're going to hold your investment for a long period of time you can still invest now. It is expected that bitcoin will doubled its value after few years.

This is a good news and this means governments has no power over blockchain technology as its demands keep growing. Bitcoin has make many people to forget about other assets of investment such as oils gold and silver and people now preferred to keep their portfolio in bitcoin and others crypto coins. Bitcoin price is now around  $5675 and this means that one bitcoin is more than five Oz of gold.

there still a good time to buy bitcoin because the price is still increasing too high. before this, there is a dump hard for the price from $5846 into $5484 so its still good if we can take this opportunity because now the price is start to rise again. the big whales never missed the right time to buy bitcoin again because they know that the price will keep increase more and more.

That's why its better to look at investing at bitcoin at long term. If you have this mindset, any price would be good for you to join and enter the market. Those that are afraid and are willing to wait till the price goes down before buying one is those who are for short term investments only. Bitcoin already proved that it has the potential to reach stratosphere, prices that a couple of years is not imaginable. But with the current situation now, with bitcoin gaining wider acceptance from masses, its not that far to reach $10K or more in the future. So don't be afraid to test the water today even if the price is too steep. And without a doubt, you won't regret that decision.

It is so funny that when Bitcoin beats its former ATH record, some people will ask whether it is the best time to invest in Bitcoin or not. Why not just invest and wait for your investment profit increase? This is the mistake of some that leads to lose of good opportunity. So I say, just keep on investing. Bitcoin will definitely make your investments worth the wait.

Still you haven't invested in bitcoin while it was on the correction back at $3,000? Too bad for you, it's always a good time to invest in bitcoin and bitcoin now hits $5,600 so your expectation at $5,000 hits additional $600 in it's current price.

There's always a risk associated when it comes to investing, so just like what others are keep on saying when bitcoin is on ATH that it's now risky to invest because we are the peak. And when do you think you'll invest? or you'll say to invest it again when the price now is at $10,000?

Yes I agree with you but not one time that bitcoin hit all time high it happen so many time I think there is no chance of bitcoin that it will drop down again and the reason is now bitcoin is stable in market and if we see the ratio of traders and investors in bitcoin so it’s going to increase day by day its mean people trust in bitcoin and they support bitcoin.

The trust is there, but the whales will cash out when it hits 6K. Bitcoin will drop back down, whales will buy alts and bitcoin, the whole market goes back up, wall street money comes in, bitcoin to 10K before may 2018, new ATH's for 80% of the alts

If you invest in the alts now, then you are going to lose at least 90% of your investment. I am saying this because the 2MB block size implementation is very near and Bitcoin exchange rate are going to rocket upwards after that. And the altcoin (especially ETH) demand will remain low, due to the dullness in interest from China.

That's what people said last times. THe fact is that whales and individual investors have bought massive amounts of bitcoin at 3, 4 and 5K in anticipation of the upcoming forks. When it goes well, prices will increase, causing a lot of sell orders to go through, as well as a lot of people, especially whales, to cash out. If it doesn't go well, people will panic sell, causing prices to drop as well. The alts won't drop so much anymore because that would mean people selling at heavy losses. Buying alts now is like buying stocks from good companies right after the heavy crash of '08.

i agree with you bitcoin always high price . Because that’s the price at which people are willing to sell bitcoin. There are more people wanting to buy than willing to sell. It’s a market and that’s the market rate. As for the reasons there are more people wanting to buy, that’s impossible to say.

Bitcoin value is change day by day. So prices is high every day. Some time it will change. But bitcoin is good opportunity future growth. We can invest if bitcoin price drop lower than $4000, I think that is the good time to invest since bitcoin price now is in average of $6000. If hard fork happens maybe bitcoin price will go down and that will be the best time for the investors.

Why do you think that price will go under 4.000$ ever again?  I guess new bottom is 5.000$, we will see about that but that is more likely to me than dip under 4k, some bad things needs to happen to break price almost on half.
Everyone who buys bitcoins now and in under 10.000$ will be early adopter. I wonder how many days this year bitcoin was at new all times high? Next year we will have same number of days when bitcoin will be at all times higher and maybe even more. Maybe I sound too optimistic, this is happening right now and will happen in the future, I have strong logic about it.

If something unexpected takes place, the price of bitcoin might go as low as $4000 same as that happened when the price was around $4500. All of the sudden it went reaching $2900, but started to recover immediately after small time period. So we can't assure that $5000 to be the low bottom price.

This is why I keep telling that everytime is an opportunitt for bitcoin investment if people were able to invest when the price is $5000 they could have earn $1000 because bitcoin value already hits $6000 we don't need to wait for the price drops because everytime is a buying time. Now the price is dropping again so you can buy if you can and for sure you will earn after few months

When the price of bitcoin was 2000 dollars - it was expensive, when the price became 4000 - it was expensive, it became 5000 - expensive;) stepping over 6000 - the price in 5000 seemed not so expensive .... and in fact - at every stage it is necessary to consider the price not turning on "yesterday's horizons"  ;)

Yes.Good idea. This was I had thought for long. I think after the forks, the price of bitcoin will slowly reduce to attend the stable value. So use the time to brought the bitcoin. Not to sell the bitcoin. If you have any Emergency means, sell the bitcoin. Or else keep your bitcoin for long to get more dollars.

That's why I'm a firmed believer that there no right or wrong time to buy bitcoin. It has already presented himself as a good investment platform because the price can multiple is folds in the next months or years. Right now its around 500% increased, so if you just bought it when the price is $2000, or $5000 it doesn't makes any different because by now you are in the plus side. Although for some its a mental barrier to buy it because of the escalating price, but you can just buy in small portions and accumulate it overtime. No need to buy in bulk, like getting 1 BTC, because if your mindset is like that then I can tell you that you will missed a lot of opportunity to earn.

I agree, bitcoin price can possibly hit lower than $4000, I think it will happen on Hard fork. Just like what happen the last fork. Bitcoin price drop so low but immediately recover. A lot of people just make a panic selling decision that’s why bitcoin price go down that low, so we can expect that bitcoin price will hit again for as low as $4000 and many investors will have a chance to buy bitcoin that time.

Nobody panic, do you read what is happening in community? Everyone expected to get as much gold tokens as possible, now when fork is behind us people are selling bitcoin and buying altcoins, their price is going down for some time. Money is going in and out from bitcoin, that moves the price up or down, with so many icos around I think people are now concentrated on them too, not just bitcoin. Surprisingly or not bitcoin price is holding strong on 5.700$, what will happen in next few months is hard to say, but I don`t expect any big drops. Crypto market capitalization is higher each year and that is what I find important, bitcoin market cap is still number 1 and that will stay like that.

Obviously bitcoin hits all time high. The price of bitcoin is always high and it increasing day by day. Now the price of bitcoin is $1600. In 2018 i believe the price increasing more than $1600. I love bitcoin so much. It's changed my life.
