https://aws.amazon.com/free/ With it comes "750 hours(per month)" of computational capacity on their cloud. Has anyone tried to mine using a free account to gain some idea of how much crypto can be generated using their free service? I know someone must have tried it and there's a decent chance after 12 months of mining the quantity of profit would be very low. Still seems like something that could be fun. Even if it was no better than CPU mining it would still be cool to mine stuff. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Title: Re: Has anyone tried amazon mining? The free tier specs are pretty bad so you won't be making much money at all, and amazon is known to shut down accounts that mine [1] as it uses a lot of resources. Assuming you don't get shut down, you'd probably be making under $3 a month. Someone on the reddit post linked below said they were making around $2.50 mining on vultr before they got shut down, but Monero difficulty has risen since then.
