Title: New to the Philippines (and unfortunately don't speak Tagalog :D )
Post by: rodmancoin on October 13, 2017, 02:52:44 AM
Hello everyone and thanks for this amazing and resourceful forum.

I just got into the cryptocurrencies world a couple of weeks ago (and moved here a month ago) - I need to set up my wallet, which one would you recommend here in the Philippines? Will I be able to do that even if I don't have any proof of address yet? Thanks!

You can try Coins.ph but they would require you to provide them a screen shot or a photo of you holding a valid ID so that it will be upgraded to verified status.. If you have an ACR or Alien Certificate of Registration I guess that will do. I have friends who were able to open a bank account here in the Philippines using their ACR.

Yeah, I really agree with this one. Coins.ph is the primary wallet here in the Philippines when it comes to bitcoin. You may want to give them first some personal identification for you to be able to transact higher amount. This will also take some time since verification of identification is needed. But, if you want there are lots of wallet that available globally yet security is not that sure unlike coins.ph since it's proven and tested by me.

i recommend coins.ph the most convinient way for withdrawal of your fund, but as to storing your fund i higly recommend those wallets  where you have control over yourr private key such as jaxx, electrum, blockchain.info  etc...

You mean you are already residing here in the Philippines right now? Im using 2 bitcoin exchange for converting my bitcoins to cash 1st is coins.ph you can cash out your money anytime using the egivecash cash out option or to any of your bank account, 2nd is abra app much prefer to used this app for cashing out via bank account because of its high sell rate compared to coinsph.
