Estimados,

Estamos armando un Exchange 100% descentralizado y estamos buscando un logo para el mismo. Aunque apunta a ser usado por gente sin conocimiento de Bitcoins, también podrá ser usado para trading tradicional.

No pretende ser un exchange tradicional, ni otro exchange mas de los que se están haciendo sino un espacio con herramientas piolas donde se encuentran los intereses de compradores y vendedores. Aunque es bien distinto, sería más del tipo localbitcoins.

El nombre es bitcoinear.me y como verán es una palabra tricky ya que en español es como una acción la de "bitcoinear" algo o a alguien (llevarme hacia el bitcoin) mientras que en inglés es una conjunción entre bitcoin y near me (bitcoin cerca mio). En español apunto hacia el hecho de la facilidad de entrar en el mundo bitcoin "bitcoineandote" y en inglés apunta al trading cerca tuyo.

Lo ideal sería que el logo pueda representar ambas realidades. El premio completo se pagará a quien logre un logo 100% de nuestro agrado. En caso de quedar decierto, se votará el mejor, a nuestro criterio abonándole 0.25 B y 0.05 B a los próximos dos lugares.

De querer seguir trabajando sobre algún logo tras el concurso, se podrá abonar el 0.5 BTC restante.

El concurso estará abierto hasta el sábado 22 de Junio pudiéndose extender hasta el 29 si la situación lo ameritara.

Quedamos abiertos a ideas, sugerencias y comentarios.

Depende, si es por el logo de nike, es un regalo,  si es por el típico logo de ferretería paco es caro.
Si lo miras en tiempo es razonable para una día de trabajo creativo, teniendo en cuenta que puedes no ganar

Aquí mi propuesta. Evidentemente se puede modificar para adaptar al gusto, tanto en colores como en formas.

No lo es, piensa que de este modo el comprador puede ver muchas opciones de mucha gente y elegir la que más le guste, y el diseñador se arriesga a no tener sus horas pagadas. Normalmente para un comprador hacer un concurso le sale un poco más caro pero obtiene un resultado notablemente mejor. En la parte de habla inglesa, con mucha más competencia, el último concurso para un logo que vi se premiaba a 2BTC.

Si mal no recuerdo, cuando el concurso fue por 2 btc en pesos arg equivalía a $600. Quizás Majamalu puede recordarlo aunque sea en usd.

Es el de Open Transactions, aun esta en marcha no? En todo caso, si que creo que 2BTC sea demasiado, aunque seguro que participan todos los diseñadores activos en el foro y seguro que obtienen un logo impresionante.

He hecho otro así modo prueba experimental. No creo que sea del todo adecuado para un logo pero bueno, nunca está de más ponerlo y aver si así se anima más gente a participar (no tiene gracia ser el único candidato).

Gracias compañero, aunque algo me falla en el "me". Igualmente, tendría que hacer que se vean las dos realidades; de bitcoinear y bitcoin near me.

Podría la b tener las dos patitas del símbolo tipico de bitcoin pero siguiendo ese estilo de letra. O el me puede ser más tipo moneda btc. Otra cosa que se me ocurre pero para otro diseñador sería explorar el concepto a través del hombre viturbio de da vinci.

Can you specify the logo you want ? Any distinct speciality?

I'm more of the minimalist kind but as conceptual as possible better. Even if it has to be explained. Perhaps Icon + text. But I'm really open to ideas. The one that has been posted in the page 1 (only text) is very cool too and not in my initial thoughts.

So here's my submission. I tried to combine the concept of "near" and "turning into". Kept it pretty simple, but these designs could easily have detail added/ colors changed.

here's my idea and explanation:

01. General Coin Image:

People new to this 'new digital money' concept will find it easy to associate themselves with
coins like the ones they use in real life, so I opted for a realistic image of a coin.

02. Text and Binary:

The ones and zeros on the outer rim of the coin actually mean bitcoinear.me like the text on the inner circle.
This is to make these new people understand that now they are in the cryptographic realm of this new currency
which is governed by algorithms, bits, encryption and electronic hardware.
(If you look closely in the center area of the coin you'll see a circuit board pattern too  ;) )
Obviously the textual part is so that everyone can read what the logo is for...

03. Compass and BTCitcoin Symbol:
The compass is the symbol for 'spatially-enabled' object, like in this case Bitcoins Near Me.
With this combined symbols one would instantly know that bitcoins can be found (as in traded, bought, etc)
from any direction they look at...
It is like a 'Bitcoin-finder' device and in fact, this site would be providing this service, no?  ;D

Hope I understood what the OP needs and wants, and after some days thinking about it this is my first idea I came out with.
I can grab a word or two in Spanish but it's ok in English to me, so if you have any comments, suggestions or changes please let me know.

I mean that bitcoinear.me in spanish is as saying "getting my self bitcoined" :-)

They do but they are not the kind of logo that this website might be finally using. As I'm trying to explain... the lack the human or verb part.

ok. i'm not sure if you realize the point of the little bitcoin blip on the map. have you ever used google maps? when you type in a location a little balloon pops up on the map. i really thought my design conveyed the idea of a "bitcoin near me" i will try to add a human if thats ultimately what you want though. i do need the money badly enough.

I meant that this image can't be used as a small logo given text would be get fuzzy (the name inside the image is generally not what we look for, unless it is the logo itself). Thow we don't really dislike yours, you might try to represent the needed concepts in a way that it could only be used for this site.

Your baloon is not the problem and is straight to the point.

The logo should be though specially for this site representing both concepts. This one could be used for any bitcoin site too, or even for a store... :-)

If you want, let's work this idea a bit...
Love the compass theme, let's do a version with no real coin as background it gets fuzzy with the rest of the text. Might even try a vector simple version of the coin and text.
Please try a version were the compass theme is the "o" of Bitc"o"inear,me with some nice typo.

Son puros bocetos para mostrar conceptos, como siempre, si algo gusta siempre es mejorable. El más complicado de explicar es el primero en el que muestro una sintesis de una persona en posición fetal. El de arriba a la derecha es feo, no le des importancia, pero quedó en el jpg y ya lo había subido jaja EDITO: más tarde subo un par de ideas más que tengo en mente.

Es simplemente una regla mnemotécnica que hace que sea más fácil reconocer / memorizar el nombre del sitio para un pueblo de habla inglesa. Posible interpretación: recién llegado se entera de bitcoin y se convierte en bitcoiner (obtener bitcoins a través de su sitio).

I decided to try a 3D Logo instead, as I am better with 3D than graphics.

The blue cirrcle represents the globe (earth), the yellow lines represents a radar/tracker (finding local bitcoins). And the footprints on the globe represents the human interaction of walking to or finding a nearby bitcoin.

Narydu, me alegro que te hayan gustado, pronto estaré subiendo un par más. Paso a explicarte porque usé las personitas para esta oportunidad.
Para manifestar la idea que propusiste de "bitcoinearse" me pareció que no había forma más explicita y entendible de hacerlo que a través de el uso de personitas que simbolicen al "yo". En la primera (de izquierda a derecha) muestro a una persona en la que la sombra representa el fanatismo/personificación de bitcoin como un reflejo de si mismo, y el concepto "near" lo muestro a través de la representación de lo dicho anteriormente como una sombra, porque, que está más cerca de uno todo el tiempo que su propia sombra?
En la segunda propuesta lo que muestro es al bitcoin personificado como una persona más, cerca de otras personas. Puede ser visto el concepto de "bitcoinearse" en la misma personificación del individuo como tal.
En las otras dos lo que muestro es algo mucho más directo y menos metaforico, mostrando a la persona simplemente fanática de el bitcoin y manifestando su amor/fanatismo, en lo que creo que se muestra la cercanía y su "bitcoinización".

Bueno, espero haberte aclarado el porque usé estos bocetos. Es Chamuyo para vender mis propuestas, pero es en realidad en lo que me basé para diseñar. Un abrazo.

Su logo nos resultó altamente sencillo y directo (y es lo que queremos transmitir con la web, Simpleza).
La "acción" de Bitcoinear está puesta en la fleca hacia la persona y la cercanía del "near" también.
Tanto el nombre del sitio como el logo repiten el doble sentido.
También nos interesa usar una gama cromática bien definida.

La persona está sintetizada en el ME pero es una personita de la que "por el momento" solo vemos su cabeza...

En cuanto a la devolución, es cuestión de gustos, no pongo mi propuesta por encima de ninguna otra (ni a palos), pero en la abstracción está la identidad de una marca verdadera; cuando se puede transformar un ícono que no existe en lo cotidiano en el reflejo de una empresa, el isotipo cumple su rol máximo, que es significar sin ningun agregado informatívo (esto con un buen trabajo de marketing, por supuesto, los isotipos o logotipos por si mismos no son más que dibujitos y palabras). Sin ir más lejos, ¿alguno sabía que la pipa que representa la marca Nike es una de las alas de la diosa griega de la victoria? De todas formas, es solo por aclarar el por qué del estilo que usé. Ante todo, de nuevo, muchas felicidades a marticps que ha hecho un trabajo genial.

Para la vez siguiente, básicamente es así (sin los espacios en los corchetes)

La ruta es la url donde está alojada la imagen. Los códigos para imágenes, enlaces, etc. los tienes en los iconos de edición del mensaje.  Es recomendable previsualizar el mensaje antes de publicarlo. Haz alguna prueba en la sección Novatos.
