I think an "Account Issues" child board should be added under Meta. It's difficult to scroll through this section because of these topics about people's accounts getting hacked cluttering up the section.

I think this section is needed as of right now. Maybe, in a year or two we won't need once all of the madness has died down. But, right now it would be beneficial for both the moderators as well as the general user browsing the Meta section.  

The amount of account recovery requests is clogging up the first page, and I think there's enough account related threads that justifies the new board. (In fact I think this very thread was buried considering the amount of views it has)

It would be really helpful as the meta section will look more relevant and easy to scroll down to search the related topics. There are so many account related issues which needs to be segregated into one separate section.

Promoting another admin would help with this because the main issue here is there's only one who is actively recovering them and he has dozens of other duties to tend to and both of those impact each other as they can't be both done at the same time and often-times neither get looked into for months or never at all (hence why the board is cluttered with them). Merely moving them to another section isn't really a solution either. Would you not be willing to do forum related admin duties? I know you're not terribly active here but another admin is badly needed.

I support the idea of this sub-section, and the recruitment of another mod.

Of course this wouldn't be needed if account sales were banned.

People would still hack accounts with or without signatures and campaigns, but the demand for them would be significantly decreased if we removed signatures from ranks (or banned them completely but that's something theymos doesn't seem willing to do), as accounts would practically become worthless as 99% of their value comes from their earning potential via signatures. However, I think people would still hack/sell/buy older accounts to try scam with though, but it would hardly be worth the effort for most I reckon.
