I'm a newbie and I have a few questions. How much consume bitcoins if from your internet? Can somene explain what a mining rig is and what is does? please explean it very easy. Post by: Gabi on June 26, 2011, 01:02:26 PM The bitcoin client will download the blockchain (and it's like 400MB) and then just keep relaying blocks to other clients and receive new blocks (it's p2p!)
You do not need the bitcoin client to mine if you mine in a pool. A "mining rig" is a computer that mine. Read the wiki for more info "Slush's pool" is a mining pool. Post by: shata on June 26, 2011, 01:06:06 PM Basically If you dont have ATi card dont even bother, and to make it worth it you really need to work on getting 1ghash/s which is gona be pretty decent investment of money to start out with.

Difficulty goes up the more people start mining, It will only get worse basically. The more people, The more crazy hardware you need. For example last week I was doing .5 coins a day...Difficulty went up couple days ago now i get .32 a day. Vicious cycle |
