The box is opened and I had it mining for 2 days. It's working perfectly and was hashing between 320 and 340 MH/s using bitminter.com.
Here's a high resolution image (https://i.imgur.com/e5aBvZP.jpg) of the actual device. Auction rules: Auction closing time: Your bid must be in before Jun 8, 2013, 20:00 (8 pm) CET. The timestamp of your posting as I see it on my computer will be the determining factor. If two people accidentally bid at the same price, the person who bids first wins. Starting bid: 0.1 BTC Bid increase: 0.1 BTC Reserve: none Shipping cost: 0.15 BTC to any place in the EU. For other countries I'll have to check individually. Payment: I'll send a PM to the winning bidder, he will then have to pay within 24 hours or the next highest bidder will be considered. I guess some of us just have a little more BTC to play with than others. i like the idea of it and to be honest anyone saying its a bad investment is soon going to find out how "bad" an investment it is when ASICS make all there power hungry GPUs worthless these things are worth it (maybe a bit expensive) just on savings from the power costs even the latest GPUs can match it on that base and what there even more expensive.... yeh sure you can sell gpus but people really think there going to get alot of money for them when everybody sells there gpus.... and then there left behind with no ASICs to many GPUs and 0% profit so yeh even theses little things are better in the long run then a GPU Title: Re: Selling ASICMINER USB Erupter (in hands): Starting bid 0.1 BTC, no reserve Post by: qukkM on June 10, 2013, 12:33:54 PM to anyone saying these are a waste of money, i have never mined before, i have 5 of these going for about 1686Mhash/sec.
they arrived on friday and i was up and running within 2 hours using cgminer. they are easy to use, easy to maintain, draw very low power, dont need fans and they take up very little space, i imagien that the equivalent woulf be 5 gpus pulling however many watts and fans and the considerable heat they throw off and i am very happy with that trade off. i bought 6 more btc over the weekend to buy another 2 or 3 of these things they are so good.
