Hi everyone, I have booked 1k profit from bitcoin with my small investment. Yesterday price fall made me to sell bitcoin and now the price is much more and it recovers it's position, do you think it will go up or down before, on or after hard fork,.

it will go up and down for the following days until the fork. i still don't believe the current rise has anything to do with BTG fork. which is why i say the fork itself won't affect bitcoin price either.
last day's drop was just a shakeout to clean the market from weaker hands.

there is still the risk of some drop although there is no indication of it yet.

it seems that people have bought bitcoin in preparation before hardfork happens, because it seems they sure will get bitcoin gold. And in my opinion, there will be a price drop in bitcoin after hardfork, as it seems there will be many people selling bitcoins for double profit. if you want to get bitcoin gold, please buy bitcoin from now. buy or not is your decision, do not be too trust in the decision of others.

i thinking depends on the hard fork will be smooth or even there is a little problem, if the hard fork is smooth then it could be continue to crawl up the value, but otherwise if there is a bit of trouble it will decrease the value of bitcoin. I think if you have better capital you save bitcoin first wait for its value to rise again

Yes probably sound a bit like a broken record, and I do t always take my own advice but many answer is yes absolutely you should invest- regardless of what is happening with forks and at network changes.  Yes, invest with confidence and hang on because in a short time you will profit no doubt.

We may still see some roller coaster ride of the price before and after the fork. We say that most are buying because of the free money but there's still a lot of uncertainly for most investors as evident of yesterday correction. That's why its better to really hodl your coins for now.


I think those who wants to get those free bitcoin gold are still in the market and only a few has been shaken and get out before loosing their investment. But yes, I more inclined to say that after the fork we may see another price drop when people dump and go back to altcoins trading.

Yes, tou probably should invest on bitcoin before the fork. For the record, I want to tip you on the buying point. Try to buy at 5000 usd and surely you will profit a lot after the fork and profit on btg itself.

actually i was talking about other reasons that will come up in the future not because of bitcoin gold. i believe any drop caused by bitcoin gold is going to be minimal.

i am pointing to the SegWit2x fork in November which will start its drama soon after the BTG fork. and there is a good chance that the drop because of it becomes big. possible back to $4k level until it is resolved.

Before Bitcoin hardfork i think the price will be up because users expect to get BitcoinGold from hardfork
they hope to make profit from Bitcoin Hardfork like the free BitcoinCash incident and after hardfork I think the price will go down

Bitcoin prices are very volatile this time, though I don't get it why you had to sell it so fast. You could have hold it and it would have gone up only. I believe that the fork is only viewed for free coins, but I don't believe it will effect Bitcoins much. I expect Bitcoins to be stable and grow up only. Maybe the segwit2x may disrupt it, otherwise I don't think it will be pulled down. You should have patience, rather than just sell them.

To be honest, only time can tell whether Bitcoin can go up or down as the hard fork becomes imminent. Now, based on the last fork it tend to go up as the time is nearing all because all the FUDS were already discounted and got rendered to be worthless by the market. I am not sure but maybe the same thing can happen. So if I were you since you got the money you better buy some Bitcoin before the fork so you can also be given BitcoinGold.

If you really want to invest, then go just invest. Risky as it is? Yes. No one knows what will happen with bitcoin price in the future but the risk is worth to give a shot. We have reasons to become optimistic that investing in bitcoin even with the current buying price rate today will give decent profit in the future.

There is still chance for some rise in bitcoin price like it can go over $6k for very short time before hard fork but you should sell what you will buy at current price before fork. Price of both bitcoin and bitcoin gold might dump hard after fork.

Every Bitcoin forks values are very high also as Bitcoin Cash does so whatever Bitcoin's hard fork is created it is a good idea to invest because the core itself of the mother of all digital currencies - the Bitcoin is leading as the main high valued blockchain technology.

That was weird you just broke the essence of trading. Why would you sell if the price is low, that was considered as a panic selling and would constitute to lower value when most people do the same. Just remember always buy when the price is low and sell when it is high.

Upcoming fork might be successful and may result to higher price. Most users are buying more coins to have more BTG once the fork happens.

The fall from yesterday maybe from the panic selling from many users and many have think that bitcoin will sure gonna drop, I was bothered from the dip yesterday but did not sell or convert my bitcoin because I know that we still have plenty more days for bitcoin price to still spike up! that is why I just close my wallet and hope that tomorrow the value would be back and it did!

you shouldn't really ask financial advice on a forum like this.
instead go to bitcoin.org, and other resources and start reading up on bitcoin. read the bitcoin white paper and try to understand what bitcoin is. read up on bitcoin's supply and how it is supposed to be distributed.
it is going to be a journey of learning but when you get more familiar with bitcoin you either find it useful and with a lot of potential (like me) and start buying it without paying much attention to short term drama. or you don't like it and stay away.

BTC value will move undoubtedly. But beside this, you will also get equivalent amount of the forked coins - in this case BTG - that you own at the moment of fork. They will have some value but no one can tell yet how much at this point.

I think this all depends on what your strategy is. Are you looking for long term or short term gains? Yes just now price is still high but if bitcoin stays on trend then the price will only increase. The recent rise could have something to do with fork people trading alts to bitcoin to capitalise on bitcoin gold.

I think you can buy Bitcoin even now when the price recovered itself. Yes you lost around 400$, but I think the price for Bitcoin is going to raise higher than 6000$ those days before the fork, so you will easily recover your lost and get some plus ;)

I don't think that it is a good idea to invest on bitcoin before the upcoming hard fork because in my opinion, it is better to just wait for the result of the hard fork because the price of bitcoin will go down a little bit because of the future sell offs after the airdrop of bitcoin gold so if you want to be more safer and buy at a good price deal then learn to wait because things will get better after the fork.

Some bitcoin users has their own basis on how they predict the value of bitcoin but for now the value of bitcoin is unpredictable it may go down or it may rise in the next week or month so the chances is 50/50 for now so take the risk and wait for the outcome.

In my opinion, you should invest on bitcoin and accumulate as much as you can not just because of the upcoming hard fork but for long term investment. You should equip yourself with proper knowledge and be self aware of your risk tolerance. Many people have their regrets because of panic selling and weak hands, letting their emotions affect their strategies. If you are for short term gain, knowing the signs of when to buy low and sell high, and studying the chart would help.

just invest it since nobody knows when the price of bitcoin is gonna rise or fall. Whenever and wherever you work, of course, there is the risk whether it is low or high risk, and it is as same as bitcoin. Just do what you want and receive the risk comes after. It is the tricks of market.

Price rising and declining of Bitcoin are very hard to tell, a couple of weeks ago Bitcoin dip at 4100$ and I said to myself, the price was too high and I couldn't buy a few portion of Bitcoin. But now the price per Bitcoin was 5670$ and still rising.

Well, indeed you should ask for advice here, but in my personal opinion, after the fork, bitcoin will drop. Everyone put their money in Bitcoin because when it will fork, they will get free bitcoin gold. After the fork, they will sell and bitcoin will drop like a fly. :)

Well if the rise and fall that happened within this week is any indication I guess it is safe to assume that we will be experiencing the same fluctuation up until the first week of November once to fork is settled. Mostly because like you are selling their coins during the first sign of a dip. But honestly, the fluctuation has always been present with or without a fork so there's nothing to think of here. I believe Hard fork is nothing to do with the bitcoins price trend, but yes people are little bit skeptical about trade. They fear to take positions when there is a event that can make changes to the price of bitcoins. Even if bitcoin falls to some price level to some extent it can just be a hault before a big price move. It can't be a big reversal as you suspect at every downfall. So stay cool and be confident on you and there is nothing to fear on investing in bitcoins before hardfork.

Firstly, you shouldn't do panic sells. It doesn't matter how low the price is, if you don't change your btc when the price is low, that means you have still a chance to save your money. Secondly, there are too many speculations about the fork. I think it is better to wait for now, but of course, the choice is yours.

Maybe the best moment to buy was yesterday, the price was below $5200 and it was a nice opportunity to buy some, now it is upto $5700 and i dont know if it is still a good moment to buy some bitcoins.

It'll go down after the hard fork. Just wait for a good timing and just prepare your cash so you can cash in at the lowest optimal price because it'll eventually bounce back fast if the hard forl sold badly. Always be vigilant with trading and monitor the price always.

Just don't worry more about the bitcoin gold hard fork as it has no miners support.It would have only less impact on bitcoin price.There are no exchanges or wallets supporting it.

I think investing in bitcoin now before the upcoming hardfork is a good idea, because as we know that usually after the hard fork, bitcoin price increase, so it will the best moment if we like to make a great profit in short time.

There is a high likely hood that the price will be diving down. And as such make room for new investors to cone in. With the forth coming hard fork, there will be a reduction in the value and after which it will pick up again and rise above it was. The speculation that it will hit the 10,000$ mark is very possible and if not totally before the sharp fall. So, there are three openings: when the fork happens immediately 2 . You can still still buy now and hodl 3. Wait patiently till the major fall.

So that's a mistake. The best thing to do wether there's a downfall on its value, is to hold. Yes it is suggested to invest before the hardfork since if the segwit2x will be successful, it will again surely make its market price even more expensive and will also yield to huge profit after the hardfork. Panic selling is good for day traders because they can easily collect cheap coins and buy back from low price. If seller doesnt have clue about how trading,market works they should go back to study basics and come back before making such mistakes.

If i am really interested in investing in bitcoin i would certainly do but the price is too high and if there is a small correction i would be glad to invest some,with the price of bitcoin increase there are many alts out there which are bleeding heavily and i would invest in them rather than putting it on bitcoin,it depends upon how much you are willing to risk.

If you want to make more profit invest in goods alts instead of btc

As you saw there was no SEGWIT Hardfork so the onces who invested to split the value remained little sad because of that. Anyway it would be wise investing in BTC no matter what fork is coming, its value will continue to grow as it is supposed to be.
Just be conscious of what you are investing in: it's not a form of speculation but we can really change the world.

I think that all the rigid forks (they have 6 and the number is constantly growing.....) this scam is not worth the risk of your secret keys for these shitcoins.

Before the Gold Fork, it was profitable to buy. There was a correction and now growth.
