Title: Why Bitcoin Price In India is Lower than Foreign Market
Post by: coinkhoj on October 21, 2017, 05:05:04 PM
I have seen since september 20, Bitcoin price in India is lower than the foreign market. I am using zebpay, also tracked the price value on unocoin and coinsecure. Do you know any cause for it?

The price of BTC in India is higher than other exchanges. All Indias exchanges do that. I don't know why you are saying the reverse. High buy price and low sell price with a convenient justification is a characteristic of all the exchanges there.

Currently BTC Price is $5893 and Dollar Price is 65.08. 1BTC = 5893*65.08 = 383045 INR. But in zebpay it is 379730. Sometime i have seen it is more lower than it.

Even I have noticed it to be lower on Zebpay in the last week when there was sudden rise in BTC value. Maybe because Zebpay and others concentrate only on Indian market. But now it should be almost the same.

Avoid Zeb. There are better alternatives available. Buy rate at Zeb is always on higher side (uno being the king).

It's because Bitcoins have a premium of 15-20 ℅ over foreign price, but since there was a decline in September, the price have corrected and that's why the prices were cheaper.
But soon it will again gain a premium when Bitcoin will rally.

Why Bitcoin Price In India is Lower than Foreign Market? what !!!!!
its higher than Foreign Market and All the economists and investors should know that Bitcoin prices in India are quite higher than Bitcoin prices in other countries. Some people think that Bitcoin holds same universal value throughout the world, but that is not true. The value of Bitcoin keeps on changing for different countries. These prices vary particularly according to exchanges in the various countries.

I think it is correct. When market bluish very high, zebpay price slowly go upwords, but even market under correction zebpay have high price value. I think it is totally depends upon indian user's sentiment .

Yeah exactly. So Isn't it good to purchase for lower value on Zebpay and sell the same for a higher amount elsewhere like this forum? Just a thought.

I just saw that rates on Zebpay is much better than that of Unocoin . At Zeb, I can buy currently at 389000 and on Unocoin after adding fees it comes to 398000. So now decide and tell which is better. Also Unocoin charges the highest fees as compared to any other exchanges in India.

The price is now higher. It's because of the fact that money cannot be easily moved out of the country so arbitrage is difficult.

Price mostly high because Indians buy from international exchanges and sell on Indian exchanges

I do not think that can be the case because they would require huge qty and if payment done from their bank or credit card internationally they would be in question as the amount would be a big. Bank will freeze those accounts and with current scenario where govt is uncertain with btc future this would not be the case .

U r saying it wrongly. Price of 1 BTC is more in India than foreign markets
Today price of 1 BTC is 490000 (coinsecure) and price in foreign market is about $7150 and If u convert it into Rs u will understand the difference

Not at all hours or maybe every day the price is low, just wait for it to rise.

The OP is talking about arbitrage. Occasionally, after a pro-longed rally, the market anticipates a correction, but bitcoin still pushes higher and at these specific times people are scared to BUY the top anticipating a drop in price. The last time it happened was last month during the BTG (bitcoin gold) fork and price of bitcoin in India was trading at roughly (-)$500 premium. I look for these opportunities to convert fiat to USD (INR->BTC BTC->USD) and bring back the cash later when the premium goes up and I anticipate a correction

Why Bitcoin Price In India is Lower than Foreign Market? While the value of Bitcoin is dependent on a multitude of factors, market size, and nature, along with the exchange volume and price paid for the entry into the Bitcoin market are some of the major influencers. The market for Bitcoin is relatively small. Added to that, Bitcoin is a fast, borderless and decentralized cryptocurrency, with an asset class attached to it. With its undeniable utility, it is evident that as and when more people start using and understanding Bitcoin, it will create a more diverse trade network with an exponentially higher number of merchants dealing in Bitcoins.
