I am kinda new in this cryptocurrency and i wanted to buy some altcoins but i don't know which one, my friend said i should buy neo but i am not quite sure if it is a good coin or not.

Everyone is gonna tell you the ones they have invested in.
If you want to buy alts with your bitcoin, then I'd advise you against it. Hold on to your bitcoin, every satoshi is gonna worth a lot so just keep hodling.
If you want to buy alts directly, then buy alts that are in the top 10 at coinmarketcap, reliable options for trading.

Not easy to spot, but imho there are new born projects that have the potencial to grow in the future and became profitable. I avoid to advice, but you can explore this forum for potencial "gold mines".

Question gets asked like every day, there's a search engine for this forum in the top right. It works with what (sub)forum you're on at the moment. So general search go back to the main page, specific search go to the subforum related. Nobody really knows whats best to buy into or you're some market genie/wizard and in that case its very unlikely they will share it with everyone. I could recommend you some I have invested in, but I can't guarrantee anything. Out of all these seemed most favorable to me:

it's like an eternal coin in my opinion, it will be there anytime, because until now these two coins become a benchmark for the new altcoin, but if you want to try you can start with Eidoo I'm sure you'll get big enough profit ;)

You can try to buy top 100 in the coinmarketcap and i think they are all legit to be buying by you, and in another side you can try to participate in the snip ico and i think that could give you the more profit after that will got listed in the exchange site.

My opinion based on reason and evidence is Lykke. Is a company, full regulated with a kick ass team, and a hardcore project.

Check the roadmap of the company and the already developed project. Investing to lykke now is the best move I believe because at the end of the year will release some big things..

so many altcoin can make you rich, but you have analysis skill , go coinmarketcap and check volume trade , read graphic , or u buy token that has been released and growing rapidly, for example wings.ai

It is never easy task to find kick ass coin in the market. I want to count coins named Stratis and Sonm in the first place I really believe in. There are other risky ones named Ark for example.

I say you should do your own research and find out. Sure you can take their suggestions, but don't blindly invest if you didn't do your research. Find out why it would be a good investment, and if it aligns with your goals. You can also browse the forums and see the many different coins people like. It can be overwhelming, but start off with a few coins and go from there.

Everyone will have their own opinion, so you should do research on each you buy. Some of my picks are IOTA, Waves, and REQ.

But listen; If you want a long-term investment you can take Eth.

And I have a little ripple in my wallet for the short-term now.
I also think about buying Waves.

Well, it changes every day. You can check on the exchange to find who is the biggest winner of the day. But if you are looking for a long-term investment, then knowing which coin will be the best coin is pure speculation and there is a section for that on the forum.

I think that best altcoin to buy are ethereum, it is great for long term investment just like bitcoins and ethereum has potential to go even higher and can go above bitcoins so day so it might be the best altcoin for long term investment.For short term investment i would recommend ripples or waves they both are promising coins and is great for short term investment.Dogecoins are also pretty poplular and cheap so they are also good for investment.

First of all is, why do you believe that Neo is not a good coin? I suggest you should do your own research and not depend on what people tell you about this coin. If you do your own research you will find out which coin is really good for you to buy. But if you ask and make a topic here I think you will experience a dilemma. Because everyone has his own view of the coin.

maybe for me ETH and LTC is still the best altcoin that deserve to be purchased even though altcoin is impressed a long time but I believe this coin still has a chance to keep increasing and able to be in cryptocurrency market to compete with some other altcoin.

It depends on what result you are expecting.
If you want just to purchase some altcoin and then (in some time) sell it and get profit, you should purchase BTC. It`s the most profitable coin so far.
If you want to support some projects with interesting ideas, you may choose any that you like. But it may be not as profitable as you want.

Currently, all of the alts are super cheap, so buy anything you wanted but hesitated to buy. To be safer, go with top coins.

Bitconnect, Ragal coin and any lending lending platform for present income. Quatum and Wing more interested for  future investment. Ofcourse BtC.👍

It is very difficult to foresee. The prospect of a coin is worth it. Some kind of slag - soars with x5.

I don't have the answer to that, but if I can give you tips on the most relevant things that you should consider at the time of buying altcoins and thus know which will be the most profitable:
1) Core team if it is active in its development or not
2) Transaction volume
3) Alliances with companies in the financial sector since these affects its price.

Before you know about details then buy it. I think it would be better to buy altcoin with Bitcoin. Because if it is stored, its price will increase.

i dont know what is the best among the best altcoin but i if the coin will talk about i will put these two altcoin and these are Bitcoin and ethereum these two is the gold and the silver of the cryptocurrencies and i will say the ethereum is the best altcoin because it is next to the bitcoin

i dont know if im right, based on what i have read about it, of what is the best altcoin to buy. i recommend or suggest to buying BTS between 1.600 and 1800 satoshis, and setting a sell order for th bought coins at 3,800 satoshis.

The references to fiat are gone in the new paper, as are a few other things, but largely my analysis remains the same, based on my reading of the new paper. They just cleaned it up and made it more focused.

If you are new in crypto, stick to btc at the beginning. Try to learn about coins before you are investing in. You can listen to other people opinions, but you should do your own research. Neo is a good one, but it had as big pump in last few month so be careful. Cheers.

I think monero and civic are the two coins which i would recommend you to buy.
Monero is a coin based upon the idea of complete prove i and the transactions are secure and untraceable. The coin is one of the most popular coins available in the market.
Civic is a coins based upon the idea of identity verification and has a very strong team. You can expect good amount of growth from the project.

NEO is good, yes, but I think Ethereum is better. Whatever alt you decide to invest in, make sure that you keep a sizeable proportion in bitcoin too.

It's pretty much impossible trying to pick the exact right coin at the exact right time.

I tried timing the market and buying stuff. Lost almost half my stack like that lol. Things are too crazy in the crypto world unless you have insider information.

I started following teeka tiwari's recommendations and I got into Zen, OMG, and GAS. Easiest 800% of my life lol. It makes sense because he's connected to all the heads of the crypto world and travels everywhere meeting developers and shit, has all that upcoming information.

Now I go 100% ham on whatever he says to buy, it's been working amazing for me. It's so nice just brainlessly putting money into what he picks and seeing it 5-10x lol.

Tenx is the most undervalue coin and has a good team. Search the price history.

People says good for what they have chosen. Lot of coins. You can't get a conclusion here. neo, wtc, eth and waves are my favorites. But you need to do your own research.

For my opinion, you need to do some research about those coins you wanna buy or invest. Because it will help for you to choose if it is good or had some potentian in cryptomarket. I just wanna share my one favorite altcoin NEM/xem. I chose nem because it has a lot of good project that can develop or innovate the system in blockchain. That's for my longterm trade but the other coins is for day trade/scalp trade.

I suppose that price of ETH should blast off after segwit2x hardfork. It's too long around 300$ so it's my choice.

Agreed, it is impossible to find the best coin to buy. You can try to buy some coins with big market cap for low risk.

nebilo is one of the best altcoins from ico has high potential to rise and become popular on the cryptocurrency market, despite it just has been born recently, at first it price is just about 0.207$  but in few months it has reached 4.85$, rising more 250%, that is really surprise to me and investors.

You want to invest in altcoin then you have to have bitcoin but I still recommend splitting up your fortune one half you will keep bitcoin to get one half you look for the top altcoin on coinmarketcap and buy them that are coin potential but i advise you not to buy the current because the current market is unstable you can wait after segwit2x done then buy bitcoin

Well, NEO is nice. Have invested some to it myself. It has a great cncept, a one hell of a developing team, which are skille at what they do and hard working.

But strat is also nice. Amd waves too. There really are a lot of great coins out there that are just starting out. But the numbers of shitcoins are far more manier than the legitimate was. So you have to be careful. Make sure you read its white paper first before you engage in to investimg.

NEO is good altcoin, but for the better buy minimum 5 altcoin to manage the risk of investment. And just use portfolio by 30% of fund to buy altcoin, then other 70% for Bitcoin. In my opinion others good altcoin is ETH, DASH,WAVES and XMR. The fundamental of these altcoin is strong that make the price going up in the long term. But if you would like to buy these altcoin better buy it paired with USDT or other fiat currency, because the price of BTC really fast going up now.

They have many altcoins good to invest right now because for sure potential altcoin gives you high peofit. But be careful while investing to altcoin bevause they bave chances the price decrease. this time is the right time to make a purchase of altcoin because almost all altcoin prices are falling dramatically, but surely we have to be more selective before buying it would be better to do research in advance about the potential of altcoin that will be made in investment, and I think ETH, Waves, NEO are good enough for long-term investments.

You might have a point though the people that invest in it could get a larger amounts of coins if they continue to invest during the price increase on Bitcoin.

With anything in crypto, ALWAYS do your own due dilligence. Bitcointalk is a great place to find out about ico's and tokens, but it's your job to look into them.

The one im still continuing to buy right now is Neblio. Whilst all other coins have been bleeding due to the fork Meblio has held up pretty well. Once it's ios wallet is released and restful apis are released i feel this coin will make me a lot of money.

in my opinion, I think ETH is the best coin to buy. but each coin has its own price, and the price can sometimes go up and can go down without our guess.

No single altcoin is the "best altcoin".

I would definitely recommend diversifying your portfolio to incorporate various altcoins so that in case of a crash for one coin you are not just doomed. Spreads the eggs in multiple baskets, essentially, and you have a lot more opportunities this way.

For now, go with sia, doge, NEO and NEM.

neo is good for long investment. but I think there are some other altcoin that deserve to be invested, certainly in the long run.

hard forks has high price today but the real point is they're having a god future in terms of investments though some Altcoins do have the same. I've been excited about investing Bitcoin Cash before it was released for a hundred of dollars and so as Bitcoin Gold with a hundred and fifty bucks on it so by the time Hard Forks will roll out, in my case, I always been supportive with Hard forks and they've a lot of advantages compared to other Altcoins. Ehtereum and Ripple for me has an advantage.

I still believe some Altcoins are promising But these top Altcoins has the seat as top Cryptocurrency so for the future investors out there, This is the perfect time to invest on top altcoins or any altcoins you choose if you do some research about it. invest while we are able, that's the whole main point because Bitcion isn't really the best option if we adapt cryptocurrency today. NEO is in the top of the Altcoin list so I know you got the best investment for your future. It's up for you to decide which coin you're gonna invest. if we have big balance then i will suggest to buy ethereum and hold it until the price is increase back and if we only small until medium then i suggest to buy neo, waves, litecoin but the other coins is recommended too. we have big list altcoin that could makes us to gain profit after bitcoin reach the stable price then the altcoin will rise up again. there will be new price level for the altcoin because bitcoin price is increase too high than few months ago and now we are only hold our altcoin until the price back to increase.

There are now many potential altcoins that fit your requirements. I will give you some advice. In my opinion, you should choose eth. The reason is that it is altcoin is the most competitive with Bitcoin. On the platform, ETH overcome some disadvantages of Bitcoin, faster transaction speed and more convenient. Yeah agreed for ETH and also for litecoin because ETH have 2nd highest price and litecoin have 3rd highest price and also have good reputation in crypto market , right now many ICO will offer tokens for ETH it mean ETH will have more value like bitcoin.

Dont buy eth, it's terrible. It cant even do the one thing it's supposed to do, the chain constantly gets clogged because of so many tokens and transactions.
