As Bitcoin has touched and passed the 6,000.00 $ mark researchers and the investment communities and media are all talking. The talk is that they see Bitcoin going above 10,000.00 in the near future. I talked about this last week and was talking about 24,000.00 . So it looks like I am not to far off in my look to the future.

To me the opportunity is wide open to the sky.....

Surely $10k is the next psychological price barrier, this time last year it was $1000. I don't know when but still believe there are alot of emerging markets that can help to drive the price up to new highs

Most people don't even realize the global financial collapse is upon us. I see 20K bitcoin by February  as the masses start to awaken

Are such massive gains possible in such a short time? Yes bitcoin has gone from A -> B quite quick......and I do believe bitcoin WILL hit 10k eventually but shouldn't there be some type of linear gains (tapering off/slower). Maybe someone with more technical background could chime in.

it's just a matter of time before the u.s.a is go under, u.s.a depisit is unfixable. when this happened bitcoin should be around a few hundreds k each, it's going to happen.

10k maybe on spring 2018. In near future BTC will go deep down. And  who knows, when price will recovered.

Not only you mate but I'm also liking it, each year or each month that is passing bitcoin is showing us that he stand with and make itself pump for most of the time. And this is the reason why I really want to keep on holding until the right time of selling comes.

i am not sure that there is a financial crisis at the moment but if there is goi g to be one then bitcoin will rise to and beyont 10000 otherwis i am not sure it will do it before the year end

Last week the price is passed by $6000  many it is true the price will pump until $10,000 in the future of bitcoin.  After the hard fork is done the price will pump. It is possible to increase the price of bitcoin but there is possible some alt coins will dump as bitcoin increase.

in theory bitcoin will reach $10,000 but we don't know when the time for bitcoin can reach that price and there are waiting time for us to see the price. i think it is better for us to saving more bitcoin from now on so when the time is come, we can sell the bitcoin to make profit and in that time, we can be another richest person in our city. maybe next year we can see the price is reaching $10,000 and i hope i can have many of bitcoin amount so if i sell some part of the amount, i can have more money for my life.

One has a finite supply of 21 m coins the other is bits of paper that get printed into infiinity each time one of the banks has a bad trade in the derivative markets  :-\

I think it will hit 10k sometime in 2018 and then even rise more. your prediction really isn't bad because there is still pretty much potential for Bitcoin

Bitcoin could easily reach $50000 in couple of years but noone really talks avout it. First dollar isn't as strong as people think. Second we don't have bright days economically in whole world. Lot of governments are buying gold. Paper money makes you lose value. I suggest bitcoin will reach $10k in Q2 2018.

I hate to speculate but I believe bitcoin can reach any height as long as there is developments and some of present problem with bitcoin is dealt with.

It can go to $10k by the end of this year or first month of next year. If it does go above 10k, it will continue to rise and stay between 10-20. However, if it stays under 10 by the end of January then it'll continue to stay under it till the end of next year. that's what I think.

I am pretty confident to say that Bitcoin is going higher. It would not surprise me if in the next 6-10 months we are over $10,000, because Bitcoin is technically in bullish mode and bitcoin is essentially a database with an unprecedented level of security, it is digital gold. Bitcoin is a worldwide crypto currency and digital payment system and also called the first decentralized digital currency,They can be exchanged for other currencies,products, and services, So Bitcoin have bright future.

I hope it can be truth. Now, many people join and invest in Bitcoin. Maybe in the future, bitcoin to reach 10.000.00$ can be truth. Success for our project :)

If it happens right here right now, It will be really unhealthy. Such a bullish run without any correction will cause a double crash afterwards. Step by step we will get there someday. Don't push it!

$10,000?? we are all want to reach this value in the future, but I think this is not the perfect timing to buy bitcoin in the market. Because their price in the market are so expensive it's better to sell also the bitcoin we hold now, due to this coming hard fork I have a bad feeling regarding with their value. Because their a possibility that bitcoin and other altcoins are fall down.

I believe it will be around 7k around February. It's going to be very tough now to afford bitcoin.

I think it will. It forks hard, already hit 6k and set to rise. I think it will slow up though, it's got to as some point.

so far the rise has only been increasing in speed for a couple of years. ever since we got rid of the Mt Gox depressive market the price has been rising and each month the speed of this rise increases.
then we have the adoption to add to the rise speed which means it will only speed up more.

however, we may see some downtime for a short period of time because of some Fork drama or some FUD or something but they can never last long enough to be considered a "stop" for the rise.

I think the 10k barrier will be reached in the summer of 2018. I think many other alcoins will disappear.

10k early next year, 24k maybe in 2 years. although lots can happen to put it either way of those predictions but there's a lot of fiat that can come to BTC. What BTC has to remember is that it can't turn into a way for people to ONLY make money, it has to have a good use in real life, such us paying and transferring money quickly and safely. 

I agree with you that the $10,000 barrier will be reached in 2018. But why will altcoins disappear? Will people sell all altcoins to buy bitcoin?  :D

It's possible only if bitcoin demand keep increase and it's popularity getting increase world wide.

The psychological barriers tend to be the round numbers, so we had $1k and $5k... next big one is $10k which could see a big bounce back. After that we're good until $20k :)

There are so many possibilities to bitcoin. But since the future is really bright for bitcoin, the value is growing so fast especially these past few days. That is why a $10,000 Bitcoin is not very far from happening. Who knows, Bitcoin will reach that mark in three months time. We will just wait and see when that point in time will come. What we are sure of is that it will come.

I suppose it will reach $10k till the end of spring 2018. But I believe it will be around $20k at the end of 2018.

After these forks it is hard to know how the price will go with Bitcoin, it's
quite a lot to see it edging to $10000 in the short term but yeah anything is
possible, and as others have commented it could reach the $10000 mark
sometime next year.

I suppose there will be huge correction after the hardfork which will last until February 2018. IMO 10000$ at 2018 is pretty low forecast ;)

The more people know bitcoin the more people will invest in it. Thus reaching even 50,000 is possible.

Just imagine how the people will react to see bitcoin finally breaks $10K barrier. I'm also with you mate, I think its really possible to reach it, just the question of when. Right now, this year doesn't looks like we are going to hit it. But in 2018 I really think its gonna be possible. The top price I'm seeing is $7K-$8K this year then $10K middle of next year.

BTC will reach 10k in the next 6-8 months, looking at 50k in 3 years (Goldman Sachs Research). 10 Years time I wouldn't be surprised if its 500k a pop.

yeah definitely bit coin going to increase. in the future it's price really get increase. so you have to buy bit coins and keep hold it. in the future it's price going to raise. so you have to kept this bit coin in one secure wallet. present in the market bit coin has more demand so you try to buy it. because i agree with this seriously bit coin price going to raise.

The fork is coming and again this might affect bitcoin at a large scale.
Halving the investors and taking them to the new coin when they see they can profit more if they are inveted there too.
Same will go just like what happened with bitcoin cash. So that 10k of yours will hardly took place by this year.

Most "predictions" aren't much more than putting a ruler on a graph and assuming the trend will continue. If it's going up, predictions range from $8k to $500k. If it's going down, predictions say it's dead again and will keep dropping.

If I'd have to make a "safe" prediction, I'd say Bitcoin will be between $200 and $50000 by the end of this year. And even this enormous range can be broken on either side of the spectrum.

Same for me. After strong grow should be strong and long rollback. I guess price will fall to 3500-4500$ in 2018.

The possibility is there. The liquidity in BTC markets and universal acceptance of BTC will push the coin near or past $10,000 before Q1 of 2018.

What's the reasoning behind you saying 24k? It's very easy to just throw out numbers. They don't really mean anything until you have some reasoning and data to base it upon.

Wow - reading all posts makes it not easier to decide if and when to invest into BTC.

This is only my opiniom and I feel that BTC might reach at least $6k to $8k before the year ends. Then the possibility of hitting the $10k mark will come end of 1st qtr. next year or 2nd qtr. Just by looking the trend of its market price and continiuous demand of BTC and rising popularity of it, it is easily predict wether to invest and hold BTC's or not.

I don't know when, but the real ride will begin when there is an easily accessible derivative fund.  When I first got BTC below 1k everyone I knew thought I was nuts.  Not a single person thought it was a good idea.  Now these same people who said it was a pyramid scheme, magic internet money, etc, are starting to ask how to get some.  Ha!

But there are a couple of things.  The average person doesn't want to deal with holding it themselves on a wallet on a computer or phone.  They are intimidated by the process of buying coins as well as the fact that the places they usually buy investment type things (scottrade, tdameritrade, whatever) don't sell cryptos.

Second, most people don't understand that you can buy a fraction of a coin.  It sounds comical to us maybe, but all the time people are surprised when I tell them that they don't need thousands of dollars, they can buy just a few dollars worth if they want.  But I think this is a strange idea to people.  Psychologically they want whole coins I think.

Eventually there will be an ETF that makes it easy for the average person to buy BTC.  Then it will go up.  Then everyone will start to take notice and want to buy.  So the big picture is two waves, first investors followed by sheeple looking to get rich quick.  I don't know what this means for the price, but even today I don't know anyone else personally that actually holds Bitcoins.  Wait for the second wave, the mad scramble, to see where it will really go.  It is impossible to predict but I get the feeling there will be people saying they wish they bought in when it was only 5000 a bitcoin.

Its a crazy time for Bitcoin. As more and more people discover about it the more people will buy. I see it hitting 10K in january next year.

Definitely by the end of December, bitcoin's price will touch 10000 dollars. Frankly speaking, I never thought its price will touch 6000 dollars now. But now it is. This shows people has lost confidence in these forks and they strongly believe in bitcoin. Nowadays I am not spending my coins, just storing in my wallet. I will start spending my coins when it touches 10000 dollars.

Could be and could not be. One thing that I have learned in crypto is that the market is extremely volatile and cannot be predicted before hand. So we may see a 10k bitcoin before end of year or a 2-3k bitcoin is also something that is unexpected.

Honesty Bitcoin its kinda still in an infancy stage and def has not reached outside the realm of finance just yet.  Also Bitcoin markets such as exchanges and blockchain are still there early years, so growth should be getting higher as well.  But I do say probably in another year we can see a 10,000 USD Bitcoin.

I agree since this is a very big value already. When it reach this price level, maybe it will move sideways or even dump and we will wait several months for the correction  before it will become bullish again. Support will turn into resistance when its too high in my opinion.

Well for us bitcoin earners that's very good news if ever that happens. Even this current price right now is already beyond anyone's expectations. Who's looking forward for next year? :D i'm making sure now i spend as little btc as possible to prepare for the trip to the moon

CNBS is owned by comcast and a very respectable telecommunications company. They have a good audience from different companies. Personally, i agree with this forecast. As the fast pace surge of the BTC price today, 10k usd is out of the question. I belive there will be times of low prices but BTC will overcome it.

There is no doubt that I am sure that Bitcoin will rise to 10 thousand dollars in a short time. When will Bitcoin rise to 100 thousand dollars? This is more important to me  ;D

this board is only for altcoin. i think btc will break 7000 usd during this year. to touch 10k usd we need to wait another year hope so.

$ 10,000? wow, do you know what is the cause of the rise of the fantastic bitcoin price? Please let me know, because I do not have enough knowledge to speculate there. I do not know what the cause is, but all I know is the bitcoin price fluctuates and will not forever keep going up, I think maybe 2018 will be the time for bitcoin down. Of course, everyone wants that to happen. But we never know how bitcoin works to raise or lower the price.

Hope it will reach 10000$ by the end of the year but there should be some dump going to happen after next two forks on oct 25 and nov 18 then people move towards altcoins and even they will dump btg and b2x . So after December last or in jan next year again bitcoin will raise based on my analysis.

It sounds crazy but I want to see 10.000$ even at 2017 ;) Ofcourse there will be dump after BTG and Segwit2X hardforks, but there will be month and a half to reach 10000.

IMHO it will not reach 10000$ it will jump over it from 9k to 11k.

I am sure that BTC will reach 10k, because so many hedge funds are coming into crypto markets right now. But I really hope that it will run sideaways some weeks. So that altcoins can gain a lot during that consolidation.

Despite its popularity, bitcoin will be able to reach a price of $ 10,000 per coin only next year. It should be taken into account that he can not constantly grow and small price cuts will not allow him to fly too high. By the end of the year I expect to see a mark of 6000-7000 $.

There's no doubt about hitting $10,000 this year as the masses are rapidly engaging in the cryptocurrency especially in bitcoin and more financially capable person are investing. Hope the price wont go down.

Chances of seeing bitcoin hitting $10,000 is very possible. Those people who are into bitcoin's earlier didn't even see that $1,000 is coming. I have saw someone posted a throwback picture of a person that has 1,500 bitcoins and he did regret that he never sold his bitcoin at $8 because he sold most of it at $0.8 so that thing is really something that everyone should expect now. They never realized that bitcoin will be growing this fast and now it's the reality that bitcoin can pump at any price.

It's possible to reach 10,000 of bitcoin ,but it will take some months.Even at the March 2018.You may think it's earlier,but the fact is,after the Segwit 2x,the will raise as much .Even it may reach the value of 11000 $.If all the country accept the bitcoin in their country means,all the online transcation will be made in bitcoin only.If the requirement is raised for the bitcoin means,the price of bitcoin will automatically raise.

The price of bitcoin is ready to reach up to 10,000$ and i think that the price will go up to that in the next year when the people are aware of bitcoin and because of that awareness they will engage into buying bitcoin and pushing the price up to that target and after that then it will just continue because there will be a hype that will be created in our world where people will go crazy just to get bitcoin.

I can believe it will reach on one day for $10,000 as per past performance. There are some cruel people who will be attacking and panic the crowd, however from all these things Bitcoin has proved itself a strong currency.

I believe we need more big player in the space to see the price hit that figure, some people still feel that the Bitcoin etf  will be approved then I can see the smart money flow in and drive the price up significantly

A lot of people thinks bitcoin will reach $10000 soon but for me it would take few more years before it can reach that amount because I think for this year bitcoin has already reach its maximum increase in value appreciation bitcoin can increase next year but I am not confident it will reach $10000 the likely hood is that it can surpass from $6000 to $7000-8000 that's has more chance of happening.

If Microsoft continue to offer btc as mode of payments then we will really see more business to follow and from that 10k$ value would be more possible but with current movements I guess we will still see more swing from its current status.

$10000 can and will possibly achieved in the near future. As for the pricing I think if the correction starts and ends at $5700-5900 by November then we can expect a $6000-6500 in December. Also, if the demands suddenly spikes up then we can really have a wild pricing.

Yes, that's true and recently similar new rolled out. Amazon has started to accept bitcoin as payment and just because of the fact price has grown to such a higher level. Now Microsoft is to do the same. In reality those big players if comes into bitcoin, very big price growth will happen. Now I think they are in the research phase of accepting bitcoin.

In that there is a full possibility of bitcoin getting there, and that possibility will be looked at from next year and above, cause this year is over and the fork has also have an effect on bitcoin. So, I will say let's look at next year.

I see that we btc would reach the $10000 barrier next year because I expect that the price before this year end it will reach $7000 so expect in the next year we could see the $10000 barrier. in 5 years from now some journalist predicted that they see the potential of bitcoin on reaching $25000 in 2022.
