Title: Earning Bitcoins
Post by: hutcho on June 10, 2013, 05:03:36 AM
What ways are there to earn Bitcoins that are not mining or buying them ? Guess what I'm asking is are there jobs that pay in Bitcoin ?
Y'know earning the good old fashioned way, honorable, away from the games of speculation and all the sordidness that comes with that.
If people had ways to earn Bitcoin other than using a country's currency than maybe these so-called powers couldn't manipulate their laws to accuse bitcoiners of whatever they think up; laundering, etc.

Bitcoins are way too volatile.

When your paycheck could vary +/- 10% in a given week as the coin varies over time then no one would want to pay in it besides an odd job here or there.

One way is from free faucets. http://coinfaucets.tk has a lot of them and rotates them/keeps up with their timers for you. Just bookmark it and run through them as they come off cooldown, :).

Thanks for the replies, but getting free bitcoins is not what i had in mind. If you think of the internet as a nation and bitcoin as its currency then the dollar value of bitcoin shouldn't matter, but what it gets you on the internet does matter.

Then faucets are an easy way to earn them in your spare time. Takes a minute or so to run through all of them every 30m, or about 2-3m to run through all the first time, :). I usually knock them out while watching tv.

To answer the main question, I don't think you will find a full-time, "official" job that pays in Bitcoin, but you can earn some by doing odd jobs online by doing stuff like blog post writing, logo design, coding, web design, etc. I think there are some freelancing sites that let clients pay you with Bitcoin. If you manage to build a portfolio of regular clients, you might make a living getting paid with Bitcoin.

>Yeah is there any other way to get bitcoins besides buying?

Yes, you can link to my site and I will pay you bitcoins for new IPs that watches flash files.

I call it the Bitcoins For Gets program, it was launched today:

http://bfg.swfchan.com/

Here's how it works:

1. Make an account.
2. Find a URL on swfchan that you want to share with people.
3. Convert that URL to a link-in URL in your BFG account.
4. Share that URL with people.
5. New never-seen-before IPs that arrive to swfchan via your link becomes owned by your account.
6. Once a owned IP watches a flash on eye.swfchan.com your account earn points.
7. When you want to get paid, enter a bitcoin address and the points in your account are converted into bitcoins.
8. I will send you the bitcoins.

Note that the IP must be new PLUS it has to watch a flash. This should be no problem in accomplishing if you link to the right place though, since there are tons of pornographic flashes on swfchan.

More info in the announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=257118.0

You can earn bitcoins on our website, http://www.boozehoundpoker.com/

Why are you posting this in the newbie thread?
This is our very first post, so we have to follow the rules just like everyone else and start here. :D

How many bitcoins can I earn?
It depends on how much time you have, and which tasks you complete. We have some members who have earned well over 20BTC.

But your website looks like a poker-related site?
It is, actually. We promote play-for-free poker with BTC prizepools and do our best to sponsor a nightly freeroll for those interested in playing poker. Playing poker isn't a requirement though, we have plenty of members who simply earn and receive bitcoins.

Feel free to check it out. As time (and forum permissions) allow, we hope to post more information and do our best to benefit the community.

Some of these may already be listed. But here are a few actual job boards where an person can earn bitcoins for real work.

http://bitcoinjobs.com/

http://bittask.com/

bitgigs.com/

Those three are the most legitimate I've found. Additionally; it's mostly tech work. But that's to be expected for bit coin payment.

Hope I could help a little.

Put a donation address is your signature. Then I will send you some coins! :) :)

Hi guys,
Faucets are way low earning...
I should spend decades earning 0.01 btc.
Any ideas to make at lease 0.1 btc /day ?

Thanks

This task won't take you a decade:

Earn 0.01 BTC from BitcoinDice.com:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=265327

If you want to make 0.1 BTC per day, just think about how you would earn $10 a day, and charge in bitcoin.

1 whole Bitcoin is worth about $100. Another way you can get some bitcoins is you can buy some from an exchange like Mt. Gox. Too bad they're not $10 a piece like sometime back. Once you get mining you'll have lots of bitcoins depending on your computing power. I would go solo after you get a few bitcoins from mining in a pool. After you go solo, you get the big bucks. I have no real experience on mining so someone might have better advice.

I have no real experience in mining either, but I believe this to be poor advice:

After you go solo, you get the big bucks.

Going solo does not increase your expected mining rewards by more than a couple percent (i.e. the pool fees). All it does is take a steady income and turn it into long voids of nothingness and hopefully one or two lump sums.

Sure any pc can mine, but not every pc is profitable, and mining like 0.000000215 a day would take forever to earn one bitcoin...

If you're looking to build up a BTC investment, I would recommend just investing some small percentage of your regular job earnings into BTC. I use coinbase to automatically buy a set amount each week. I also mine litecoin, but IMO unless you're ready to invest big into mining hardware, you're generally best off just buying coins straight up.

That of course assumes that you're long-term bullish on coins...

If you don't have any mining device you are lucky person. Mining is not profitable now. Try to earn bitcoin with other way. I mean if you have any skills you can sell them for bitcoin.

I use a couple sites, some slower at earning than others

CoinAd: https://coinad.com/?r=OD9F155OY95O96I
Look at websites daily, takes under 5 minutes to complete but not very fast

Land of Bitcoin: http://www.landofbitcoin.com/
Used to have videos that added up pretty quickly, only do websites now it seems like

ABitBack: http://www.abitback.com/members/register.php?refid=4623
Its point based but by doing a couple surveys those points add up and convert to satoshis

Hey guys, I have a new website I just made live for users to earn bitcoin. It is still in it's beta stage, and I am looking primarily for feedback before I ramp up marketing. I want to verify everything works as it should and that the offer payouts are fair. To be clear, this is a custom made GPT website that pays out in bitcoin. I did join this forum to share this in here, but do not want to shamelessly plug my website either. I am more or less looking for testers who can complete tasks and provide feedback for additional bitcoin. I felt that this thread/forum/community in general would be a good place for me look for like minded bitcoin enthusiasts, who would be willing to participate. If anyone is interested in this, please send me a PM. I currently offer 500 µBTC to new members, and 10 µBTC every day for logging in. I will also credit bitcointalk members an additional 490 µBTC, for a total of 1000 µBTC, simply for signing up. Thanks!

You can earn bitcoins on https://bitcoinera.net/ starting in november, but you can already build referrals starting right now.
Bitcoinera.net is a bitcoin bank which pays interest on deposits and you can earn free bitcoins by referring other people to the site.
For example from first tier referrals you earn 1% of their deposit every month!

How you want to build trust, necessary for deposits ?

As with any other investments, just give it some time and you will see we didnt do this to scam a few people and run away.

Even if you see it as gambling or dont trust us, you can still earn money by referring other people.

Just put your personal referral link, which you can get in your bitcoinera.net account, in your forum signature for example.

Wait until the currency is accepted in more places, then rob a Bitcoin bank. Or better yet, steal someones iPhone 5S and cut off their finger for the passcode, proceed to send all their bitcoins to you.
Nah, most faucets are all dry now. Referral links in my opinion are the best

So how is this gonna work then ?
When will the first monthly interest payments be payed, 1 november, 30 november or something else, november is not very exact ?
Also will the first payment be for a month(30 days) or will people that deposit early, now for example, more than a month before the first payment date, will they get more than a full(6,00%) months interest payment the first time you pay out interest ?
Basically what is the first date that will generate interest for those that deposit money in your online wallet/bank site ?

Trade between fiat or altcoins and bitcoin. Post jobs you're willing to do or stuff you're willing to sell. You could always try to develop a good gambling system or code and try to build up a bankroll that way.

Yes,
1) buy
2) mine (which is quite the same, because you need to buy mining equipment)
3) service
4) selling stuff

What ways are there to earn Bitcoins that are not mining or buying them ? Guess what I'm asking is are there jobs that pay in Bitcoin ?
Y'know earning the good old fashioned way, honorable, away from the games of speculation and all the sordidness that comes with that.
If people had ways to earn Bitcoin other than using a country's currency than maybe these so-called powers couldn't manipulate their laws to accuse bitcoiners of whatever they think up; laundering, etc.

Put a donation address is your signature. Then I will send you some coins! :) :)

Dude you have to be the first person to send money to someone who put their address in their sig. This gives me hope that someday the same will happen to me. Ta.

You need 30+ rolls at current freebitco.in rate to get a payout (5460/168=32.5).

Alternately, if your broke, you can try some some free bots - http://freebitcoinsinstantly.blogspot.com/p/bitcoin-earning-bots.html (http://freebitcoinsinstantly.blogspot.com/p/bitcoin-earning-bots.html)

If you are referring to the second part, I am afraid he is right that it is not profitable to buy equipment or cloud mining hashrate now.

If you are referring to the first part, IMO, the most cost effective way to earn bitcoin is to get a job that you will be paid in bitcoin lol. :)

The mining part is false. Mining Bitcoin directly wouldn't be profitable (although the S2 appears to break even after less than 3 months, even with increases in difficulty), but you can mine altcoins and convert them.

Bitcoinreward is good (http://www.bitcoinreward.net) - No signup needed, just enter your BTC address. You can also earn for sharing on Facebook and there is a 50% referral system on all referrals.

This site is basically a fancy faucet and not a good thing to get into.

The best way to earn bitcoin is to sell your skills on the marketplace and/or participate in a signature campaign.

The good thing about sig campaign is that everybody can join.
You could be a new bitcoiner or an experienced one, and you don't need to have some special skills or knowledge.
The pay rate may be a bit low at first when you are still newbie, but it is still better than faucets IMO. :)

Just be wary of new campaigns, especially when the campaign owner is very new. They'll say they'll pay you to advertise for 1 month and then run away at the end.

Faucets aren't the best way due to the smallish payouts. Unless you are looking to earn cents per day by filling captcha.

I doubt much trustworthy people would be interested to trade large volumes per month. You can't earn viable amount unless you have either large amount of BTC or fiat. The fees have to be competitive too. It is more of an investment than earning from 0 BTC.

For signatures, look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0. There aren't good rates for Jr member but still better than the mentioned options.

That is your opinion but captcha filling is good for newbie in the way that you earn more btc than signature comapign because from you earn 0.000045 BTC per constructive post almost Isn't ??

Captcha is good in compare to faucets, as you can earn more in captcha while faucets will never give you higher pay outs, but still its a good for newbie who is looking to collect free bitcoins.

the only way that is you can earn a decent amount of bitcoin for the time you put in is earning from signature campaigns.
other than that faucets is only good for newbies, and trading is good if you are experienced.

Yeah I think so, signatures campaign is easy way to earn bitcoin if we has decent rank member. Usually by signatures campaign we can earn money around 5 until 17 Dollars every week. Some signatures campaign less than that the other more than that amount.

You can do better than begging in this forum for bits. Just be active here and do not violate any terms here so that if you rank up your account, you can earn even more bits.

it is still time wasting work, the payment is just a little bit better than faucets. there are better jobs (micro jobs that pay better than faucets and captcha work, they might be a little harder to find buy they pay better for your time.

It's illegal and also not easy for anyone to rob someone with an armor.
There are plenty more ways for earning bitcoins, someone don't need to do robbery for that.

No ones going to donate free money.

Its similar how you see a homeless person on the street being a pan handler.. just focus on doing facuets for the time being.

It is really shameful to beg in a place where you can get money by quite easily.
There are a lot of ways by which the beggar can earn bitcoin easily, including faucets and games and websites that pays you for watching ads.
These are far better options then killing your self respect and begging on the forum and going against the rules.

Very small amount is like dust amounts were talking. So small it's hardly worth holding, and depending on wallet you almost have to use something like Zapo due to sending fees.

I would not recommend faucets to anyone just money does not equal the time. It never has and never will. Only way you make good money is if you somehow run a big faucet or somehow have lots of referrals. But very few fit in those category and I know I don't.

Getting referrals for faucets is too hard now a days as people find it boring to surf faucets these days.
We always say that faucets are good for newbies who just join bitcoin and have no knowledge about it, but now a days even newbies don't like surfing faucets that much as they did before.

There are thousands of people earning bitcoins on daily basis without buying or without mining.
You can't just say that all other ways than buying and mining are useless, maybe some of them are, like faucets, and gambling too because of high risk level.
But there are plenty more ways of earning not just these two, just read the posts in this forum and you will come to know about all.

Trading altcoins to bitcoin is good for unexperoenced users only with small amounts. Larger amounts = higher risk.
Before anyone starts to trade, I recommend to read a lot and do not suggest of speculators opinions. Often it is only pump & dump action.

Altcoins are hard to do even with expirence. Pump/dump is hard to see before it happens and when it happens... you might be left with a coin that never will be what it was in past Some good coins have peaked ... and likely are history.

Let's be honest small investments get you not very far. So likely hood of people doing them are slim. More go for bigger amounts I think a good example is ETH.... a lot are in deep believing it will be huge. They could be genius... who knows till we see down line. I personally feel better for storage of my digital currency in almost all BTC. Slow and steady wins the race I think.

No one would say that ETH wil cross bitcoin in value, it may happen but it doesn't look like that at all.
Trading ETH with big amount is risky because its movement is too fast, it moves up in minutes and comes down in seconds.
So someone can really pick up a loss if they invest big and the coin never gets up in the order again.

I think we all think the same. Movements of prices are very dangerous and a single person does not have a chance to predict the course. We can play on short with small amounts and be lucky to sell with profit - thats what "traders" here on bitcointalk are calling daytrading ;) . Large amounts for single person are too risky - such a different variety of gambling ;)

As suggested those won't have a stabilized as well a gradual increase. One needs to be in keen observation to experience the rise and do trading. Only then one can make good profit even with small capital.

And I don't mean go into BTC value range. I just mean a gain on it's current price in percentages. Say it goes up a few hundred percent, it's far less then BTC prices.... but those who held will look like genius investors.

So nothing near as big as it going to 400+. Even much smaller increase could make these investors look smart. I still mainly invest in BTC as I like the stability.

But anway's......you can profit just by holding. Look at those who bought at 400 which is not to long ago really, we are currently over 450..... so that is quite a gain compared to most investments out there. So you can earn fiat value just by holding.

faucet is only good for newbies. who don't know much about bitcoin. I started my journey from claiming faucets and today I can say I am earning good money. peoples who don't have other skills can claim faucet. if they know referral making strategy they can earn more by referring others.

Every one has tried faucets at initial stage and there is nothing wrong in it, but as time passes you need to develop your skills and try to find different ways to earn bitcoin.

I don't know what you mean: earning from faucets? Maybe earnings from advertisements on faucets are ok? Anyone try that? I mean open his own faucet?

I'm recently collecting bitcoins and trading ETH with them, so whatever profit i may earn from ETH will turn into BTC and i will be holding them.
So basically i'm investing in ETH for growing my bitcoins for future, but not for having some ETH in coming time.

This profit making strategy has been used by most of the users who continuously do trading with bitcoin and altcoin. Right now trading with eth and investing in bitcoin is the best option to earn high as halving is near.

Yeah that is the right thing to do at a moment as everyone is hoping best from the halving so investing now is the right thing to earn higher profits at the time of halving.

At this moment making profit is really very easy. As said investing and buying bitcoin will get good profit when we get near the days of halving or when halving gets over.

I think you can get a bitcoin from both, but I think mining especially with the hardware was too expensive. If you ask the site to your work and get paid bitcoin maybe you could try https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/ (https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/) thank you

The thing I find against this is everyone knows around when having will be. So really investors are investing now with that knowlege. It's not like having will happen and suprise those who hold BTC.

So I don't know if we can count on a big increase on day of having or day's after. I keep thinking it will be before having if we see it. Right now we had a decent bump up were hitting 470 on coinbase.

Personally, I have never had all that of a great experience with xbt. People sell themselves short to try making money that they are just interested in small money over actually getting what the job that they just did is actually worth, so you are constantly undercut and the people posting work only seem interested in the cheapest buck and do not care whatsoever about skilled workers giving honest estimates of the cost weighed over the amount of time needed to complete such a product. I laughed at a hit one time where someone was posting that were looking for a ghost-writer for 100+ page novel and someone said that they would do it for literally a buck, when publishers generally pay per word, granted its usually $.005-.01 a word.. Sometimes the price is higher. I am just saying that while xbt will work for some, its not really for everyone unfortunately.. :-\

If you don't have bitcoins yet, try to get free bitcoin at different faucets out there then put it on HYIPs and make them grow up to 150 - 200% and then put them in trading and have some patience in waiting for the price to go up, don't be shy to place a bid because it will help you a lot if you have small capital.

Please don't recommend to invest into HYIPs. It's too big risk to lose money and at the end only HYIP owner have profit. From risky investments I think gambling is better (but only with small amounts of money). After you have some capital you can try trading, but before you have read about it, to understand, how to earn some money from trading,

So you are simply saying that firstly we should spend or you can say waste all our time collecting some bitcoins from faucets that takes years to give us a reasonable price and then give them away to a HYIP or ponzi scheme?
It is not a way to earn bitcoins, it is called trying your luck with 5% of chances, HYIPs and ponzi schemes are not ways to earn bitcoins but they are ways to get rid of your money.

I would recommend just investing some small percentage of your regular job earnings into BTC. I use coinbase to automatically buy a set amount each week. I also mine litecoin, but IMO unless you're ready to invest big into mining hardware, you're generally best off just buying coins straight up.

you can do faucets and do things like click ads for coins (but for very small amounts).
Faucets always give a small amount, i also started my bitcoin career from faucets, but when i came in bitcointalk than i earn one bitcoins, but not in a month, you can also earn one bitcoin, but not a few days, only do your work properly in bitcointalk when you become full member than your earning will be good, so don't worry you can earn it but not from faucets.

Someone can only earn dust from faucets but not a reasonable amount of btc, at first i was also depending on faucets when i started using bitcoin, and then i joined this forum just like you and then i stopped wasting my time on faucets and started preparing myself for signature campaign, and now im using signature campaign and also started trading altcoin with a small amount, will keep it going like this.

I learn a lot here in this thread but almost all are suggesting signature campaign is the best source of bitcoin.. well i will give it a try and i hope once i have earn.. i just gamble it to make more bitcoin..

Don't waste your money, don't you love them? Earning them for gambling and giving them away?
If you gamble just for fun then that's fine because you won't regret it as you won't put all your earnings in it, but if you play for making them more then you are doing the worst you can with your money, you won't be the owner of them anymore.

This seems like so many bad things. Earning through signature campaign if done right is a great thing. So you get a little BTC for posting you would do anyways. But when you take that straight to gambling... you lose long term. So seems crazy instead of storing it to gamble it.

Also hash ocean looks like another bad idea. Any cloud mining site that shows re-payment as 2-3 months.... is to good to be true. For others reading go straight to hashnest and don't mess with scam sites.

Yeah, signature campaigns on this forum could earn you some spare cash that you can spend on stuff that you like on the weekends. However, it should not be considered as an income.

Faucets are just a waste of time. I think surveys and tasks are way better.

Someone obviously cannot earn a full time income from just signature campaign, unless he is having a lot of ids and posting all day long for earning more then someone can with 1 or 2 ids, but thats sound exhausting.
It is just a part time income, someone having free time and don't want to waste it by doing something else so he can make a part time income with signature campaign.

Ofcourse.
Someone having a target amount to be earned in a targeted time cannot just earn it with signature campaign, or someone wants to earn a spendable amount of bitcoin everyday or every week he cannot just depend on signature campaign, it should just be considered as a side income, but not a full time income.

Best way to earn bitcoins is doing a online job, task or selling something on internet to receive payments in BTC. Another jobs that don't demand skills will pay low amounts of money, hard to make a decent profit. Some people create faucet or site scripts to sell, if you have programming knowledge you can make profit this way.

The faster and easiest way is gambling

It's fast and easy, however it is not guaranteed. There is a thing called a house edge which basically prevents you from winning in the long run consistently. However, it is possible to win in the short run.

There aren't that many people rich from gambling either.

Gambling cannot make you rich, it is actually not designed to make everyone rich otherwise everyone out there was gambling with his earnings to get rich quick, but is isn't a get rich quick scheme or something, but it is designed for those who wants to have some fun with their money and wants to spend their money so such people don't care if they win or lose.

The faster and easiest way is gambling

It's fast and easy, however it is not guaranteed. There is a thing called a house edge which basically prevents you from winning in the long run consistently. However, it is possible to win in the short run.

There aren't that many people rich from gambling either.

Indeed.

Bitcoins are not easy to earn, that's the first thing my friend.
There are many a things which you can google and find, many games, casinos, new ideas about how to earn it, here you will only be able to earn it through signature campaigns and/or trading/buying/selling goods or services.

It's the fastest as well easiest, at the same it has got the biggest risk compared to all other forms of earning.

Gambling can be the fastest way for someone to earn but it is obviously not an option for earning money, because it is not designed to make you rich, but it is designed for fun purposes, for those who have a lot of money and won't hesitate to lose some on gambling.
