So it's simple really. If I buy for example $1,000 of a coin at $0.01 I will get 100,000 coins which I can sell at $1.00 making me $100,000  8)

OR

I can buy $1,000 of a coin at $0.10 I will get 10,000 coins which I can sell at $10 making me $100,000  8)


You see, it's simple  :D

So, which coin I buy?  :D

As I write everywhere, investing in coins should be considered for a few crypto because of the minimization of losses and the increase in earnings. For this moment I recommend waves and eth.

Please tell me how easy it is to find the next coin that will 100x

(best bet is to look at the coins on coinmarketcap.com that have a low marketcap but a great team/solid project already developed)

Yeah it is a big bet, basically you can get lucky with timing and coin. But you could also pick one who is just a shitcoin

It's "simple" to say -- much harder to execute. If it were that easy, everyone would be investing in altcoins and becoming millionaires.

How long do you plan on holding the coin you invest in? a year? 6 months? 5 years?

You need to look for a project coin -- something with a good idea, good tech and a good team.

One such token is FLO. FLO is trading for about $0.08 right now. It is the base blockchain for Alexandria, which is a decentralized multimedia platform. That being said, the potential for FLO to hit $1 even with a year or two is very low. Another project with a lot of potential is MUSIC. It is currently trading for about 1.5 cents. It is a decentralized music platform for artists to publish music.

In any event, putting all your money in one coin is a bad investment strategy. I would suggest a safer alternative. Invest in the obvious coins that will double or triple in value over the next year with the majority of your funds (60-75%). Coins like WAVES, OMG, ETH, LTC and the likes. Those coins will make you some money -- for sure. With the remaining 25% invest in a few "long shot" projects. If they flop, you're not out much -- if they take off, you have the profits from both investments.

That's just my two cents -- good luck.

Following you logic I have an easier way for you to get even more money. Playing lottery you just have to pick 6 right numbers out of 49. It's that's easy... just 6 numbers.  ;D

Okcash is the only one that has potential to do that for you.

You can play this on your mind but it's hard to find those coins that are cost $0.01 each and later on will be pumping to $1.00.

But if you are really going to focus with trading and have that much for an investment you'll definitely earn big amount with it you just have to choose those coins that are good with the community.

Don't just invest into low valued coins that will be dead soon. Simple as you say but it's definitely hard to do it.

Buy Xem it's cheap $0.02 and it's technology is pretty awesome.
Just look for the white paper and road map.
In every coin you better read and understand what technology they can bring to ease the daily work for people.

Also check the coinmarketcap xem/nem is always at the top 10 coins because of it's technology.

If I had the money to invest, I'd put it in WAVES or ETH right now.  They're both being used daily.  Some of these other coins, well I'm not even sure what they're supposed to do.  (Not even sure if they know what they are doing, just hoping for a pump and dump imo).

PRomising coins with low marketcap. But i would mix in some established coins with higher cap to reduce risk. If you are going all in, try 500.000 XBY. It will pump hard plus you get a node to pay you some money back. Look at some dividend tokens like taas. If they keep delivering the price will go crazy.

This is theoretically amazing ! Yes I just said "theoretically" for multiple reasons.

One: You're looking forward to a 100x increase in price which is really not something that happens usually in crypto except if they're one of a kind thing like ethereum. Just take note of etheruem.

It started in about August 2015 and needed about TWO YEARS to reach that amount. And that was for ether which came with a whole new smart contracts system which was never done before.

So no you can't do that with some sort of coin and expect it to go up by that amount as most of the coins on the market right now have three states. Pump, dump and dead. They go through the three in succession.

Without sounding like stating the obvious, focus on how not to lose money. You aren't going to pick the right coins every time unless you are very lucky so figure out how to minimise losses when you pick the wrong one (or you could just hodl). Very unlikely that it will be one coin that will get you there, but multiple successful trades might.

Don't be greedy dude, that's the #1 rule in the the cryptorrency world. And no, it's not as simple as you think. Otherwise, everyone would be rich.
If your plan is to make this kind profit in a short term, then chances are that is not going to happen. Focus on investing for the long term, gather some information about which alt coin is shaping up to be profitable for the future, and start from there. Don't try to be one of those guys that wants to make money fast online, at the end, you're gonna end up with nothing.

you want to choose one coin, and it to be a success, this will almost certainly end in failure.

you are better to invest $200 in 5 coins
or
$100 in 10 coins, to increase your chance of success. (coins that go to $1 generally go higher during the spikes/dips)

but more importantly.... you need to learn to hodl.
think this is easy? Imagine you had 100 bitcoin in 2012, do you think you would have any left now or would have hodled? (nearly everyone sold well before $1000)

It seems easy to say hodl in hindsight but seriously imagine your 10,000 alt coins ended up being worth  (lets say) $50,000.... knowing at any moment it could drop to $50 at any time of a dump. It takes big balls to hodl man.... just something to think about. People say 100x all the time, but most sell well before even 5x.

Its up to you what coin you can buy because its hard to predict the coin the price is very low and after that yhr price increase  high. You can make a resesach first so you can know what coin is the best for you,  I suggest be careful what coin you invest because they have many altcoins there the price is very low and after that the price decrease more or become die so think before you buy.

Trading is not easy, you are very lucky when you done it exactly and get a result as you expected but trading is unpredictable and so much hard to do some investment that may earn a great profit.

Its theoretically possible, but very difficult especially considering the tremendous run that cryptos have had in 2017 from $18B to $170B in market cap. . A more realistic expectation is that you would earn 5 to 15x your capital on your lowest market cap speculative names, but there is also a likelihood that you lose 80% to 90% on these name. My experience is that you can earn these 5x to 15x returns but you need to be a nimble trader, both taking advantage of order book inefficiencies and have insight into the theme that the herd is excited about: masternode coins, privacy coins, smart contract coins, etc. The themes rotate as investors become enamored with various themes at different times. Recently investors have been obsessed with airdrop coins and BTC.

If you want a few low market cap coins to consider with appreciation potetial, here are some: 808, Acoin, Droxne, Prototanium, Sumokoin, Triangles, But I stress these are all deeply speculative coins and I would not put any real capital into these bets.

That is a big dream for your investment, mate. That is good. You buy the coins that are very cheap right now but have promising projects that will likely to become bigger in the future. I would suggest you DENT, Verge, SiaCoin, Opus. These are coins that are less than 1 dollar in price but whose project and team are really working very hard to get to the top of their potentials on time. You can check all their projects before you decide.

Sure, because the difficult thing is to predict about the next token or coin will get another pump caused by development process. Trading needs a lot of skill and experience especially about the source that gives the more information about that.

It's a very difficult task to make earning big to make $100,000 in altcoin is a lot of things should be consider. If you do you are lucky. Not that it's impossible, as many have already done that, Find a gem like BQX, WTC, or any as such and Go all In and see why dont you have such serious gains and your Magic Number 100K is right around the corner.

Find a coin that is massively pumped, buy large. Wait for it to dump, sell. Once you've learnt that lesson start again.

Find the cheapest coins on the market with a stable volume and strong community. A good example is XRB but the thing is it is expensive to buy now. Just be careful because only scamcoins can make it happen for a short time while for legit coins with real projects, it takes some years to happen.

This kind of huge profits are not made only by first impression of that one special altcoin. You are going to try so many times because there will 1 in 80. You will fail for probably 100s times. But in the end, by luck/skill/patience, you can do it. Triangles is good one.

Investments in cryptocurrencies are risky ventures. It takes a certain stroke of luck to hit a crypto treasure chest. While trading experiences may prove useful at some time, logic fails at other times. So my advise study portfolios, invest little in so many. This way all eggs aren't in one basket.

CRAVE is a very good coin to get into to start with, easy to setup, only 500 coins needed... Very cheap, high returns.  In Crave's case, there's only 1.4 Million coins, so they are quite rare as well.

Yes, go for multiple cryptos. I don't think you just want to throw 1000 bucks, so read and do your own research man. At first invest only a small amount.
You will make a mistake for sure, but it will be less painful with a small investment.

Pick good established Project already (DECENT, WINGS, ARK). Hold for year and dont trade daily. Patience is key here.

The game in the lottery probably will not bring profit ;D  It is necessary to analyze well the investment of your funds and remember that there may be insignificant losses with a price reduction or collapse. You can earn this amount, but this requires a lot of time or a large initial investment.

Then HODL till next hard fork.
And so covert the altcoin to btc and to dollar.

If it were as easy as that, this forum would be filled with millionaires. Most people expect to turn a 10-100x in a matter of days to weeks by looking at the RARE exceptions. Find a good project or a few that are undervalued. Invest and be prepared to hold for potentially months to years. If it hits your target earlier then great. It's impatience that causes most people in this space to lose money.

Every other day some coins does 5-10x times multiplication of value. So, you need to guess one of them only twice (10*10=100).

Everything seems very simple, since it's really easy for altcoin. But what is important, the money is enough power to increase 100 times. And if so, are you sure you will invest in the right time or money?

Most altcoins are pump at the moment if you hold it for a little then you can earn some profit. I have bought ETH, Waves and XRP and waiting for a boost if I will get around 15%-20% return then I will sell it. LTC is also good choice as it's quiet stable and good to hold if bitcoin drops.

Invest in some top from 10 to 30 coins. Or some top popular coins.
Wait 1 year and you will receive 100000$.
Then again wait 1-2 years and you will receive 1 000 000$.

Yeah, I guess it will be better to split that $1000 into few coins, that way one can go x2, the other x20 and another one can fail and you won't account that many losses and even end up with that high profit. Actually, if you are brave enough you don't even have to look for a cheap altcoin now, but go and buy some as early as ICO token. Also there are tokens that are like $5-10 right now, but have a potentiall to go to $100 or so easily, so you don't have to necessarily focus on the cheapest ones only.

Ok many great comments. In the end I decided to buy $800 in IOTA (1800 coins) and $200 in Hive (8000 coins)

I plan to wait for IOTA to rise to double or treble my money see how it goes, maybe 5x and then invest everything from that into Hive :D so hopefully I'll have loads of HIVE and become rich, thanks.  :D

If you have to ask others what to buy you will almost certainly lose all of your money at some point. Instead start researching very carefully and decide for yourself.

I personally like SONM and Blocklancer right now as for high longterm gainers, but I wouldn't listen to myself if I hadn't researched these two myself. Monaco if you want to be ballsy (nobody knows if they've got the Visa deal or not so it's risky).

That is enough actually. Kind of tired already to mention some specific coins?  ;) But that is true. For as long as these top 10 to 30 coins are still moving forward with the right speed then perhaps you will definitely end up with some gains after a year of hodling. That is certain. And then the longer you hodl your coin the bigger your profit of course. So if you are not in a hurry, why not do the hodling for at least a couple of years?

With all of the risk, i can say not to buy the monetha, the team had a lot of problems and as you can see about the fact that the price has plunged a lot caused by the internal problem and bad rumour about monetha itself
