I'm thinking 8,000 is a realistic target that I think we can achieve. Depending on if any new forks come up.

My prediction is the bitcoin will hit between 10000 $ to 15000 $ for this coming year 2018.Believe me because i am the lost grandson of nostradamus lol. When i am reading the price history i must say that price of bitcoin will be unstoppable and keep increasing despite of the negative thoughts and negative news about bitcoin

I’d love to see 1 bitcoin at the value of $10,000 by the end of 2018. I’m not sure how realistic that is. Going by price increases in 2017 I think it could be possible.

With how the prices have been this year, there's no telling. I would expect to see it by 10k at the end of 2018. That may be a stretch but I think since more people are coming into Bitcoin, we will being seeing new ATHs.

There are two expected hard forks before the year ends, guaranteed the one in Novermber. If the second one is true, then it may likely have the same effects as the one were experiencing right now. We can expect a rise to 8 000 - 10 000,

What exactly do you mean when you say the exact price of bitcoin is 3500? As of now, the preev rate is 5700. We have not dropped very low. Sure, there may be some corrections and a couple of drops here and there, but I'm almost positive that we will come out of 2017 with BTC > 5000. BTC > 6000 is a possibility but as of now, I think we won't reach there until next year.

Good question. Yes, its really hard to predict the price going to 2018, but I have a feeling that we can go above $7000 or even more. The price could be $8000 tops, assuming there's no more drama coming are way. As bitcoin is more of a speculative asset, a simple negative news will have a lot of effect to the market. Although we have matured not to listen to FUD, there's still newcomers who are easily swayed by news without researching if its true or not. They just panic and push and make sell orders. If they would just used common sense. its better to hold than sell your coins. If everything goes as planned after the looming Segwit2x in November, I'd say $8000 tops in 2018.

The first fork has already happened today. It however takes a couple of days before the BTG devs release everything publicly, which is quite a joke to be honest. It shows their incompetence, and with the horrendous premine they also show their greed. Now there is only the SegWit2x hard fork left, but this is the one that actually justifies people to be somewhat afraid. That being said, you can't compare both forks when it comes to their significance and say that they might have the same effect. You're comparing an ant with an elephant (SegWit2x being the elephant of course). Learn the difference between them, and you'll see that they can't be put in the same category....

My guess is it will hit $7000 at the end of the year due to these forks that is happening. And i don't really know when will it hit $8000 but i do sure that it will gonna hit that soon if there's no more forks to happen in the future. It might stay at $8000 a little bit more before the end the month but still that price is almost unbelievable that it hits the all ATH. Best wishes for it, is to buy when it's low then hodl/sell when it's high because you could be a millionaire in the future.

I think at highest in 2018 we will see bitcoin at about 18k, I think it will end the year probably around 15k.

Without the need to increase prices rapidly, I need a stable development in bitcoin. Even, I do not need it to go up, I want it to remain the value of $ 6k in 2018, that value is enough for the whole market to grow, including altcoins.

10k wouldn't be a stretch by any means at the end of 2018.  There is a chance we can get to 10k by the end of this year. 

My guess is that it will be around 20k by the end of 2018.  It grows exponentially and we are still in the early stages of cryptocurrencies so...

10k for sure is the major expectation and hurdle to fall within 2018, after 10k then who knows how high bitcoin could go, it depends how much of the year is left once 10k is broken.

I think we ll see 10 k usd easily next year. Btc is safe and promising investment for all.

following from the historical datas of past price movement we can easily predict bitcoin price in 2018. Bitcoin has out perform others coins in 2017 and if all things be equal we would  expect the repeatations of what happened in 2017. In 2018 I expect the price to go as high as $15,000 as think we would have 38% increments every quarter. 2018 will have it on challenge but we expect bitcoin to rear like the loin it has been from the beginning.

We have good support zone between 5 500 - 5 750 USD. I except move to 6600 - 6700 USD (~20%) too according to last move  before fork

From your topic, from on the first of 2018, the prediction of the price has started. So, I will say that the first prediction that will be given which will be right will be December 00.00UTC. But for now,i will say, the price for 2018 will start from $7000+.

Yes nobody knows what is going to happen with the price, but of course that there are a lot of speculations because nobody knows what is going on with bitcoin.
Maybe we can see it over $7000 once that the year is finished, but i dont know, we are facing a new bearish trend right now, and probably it is going to go down by a bit more until it recover again.
Just remember that the fork has just ended, and this made the bitcoin market bleed a lot.

By the year 2018 can experience the price to be over $10000, right now if we didn't get an price pumping that doesn't affect big. Just the capital market will be found low. Every year end there will be a promised price increase and the same will take price to reach such an increased level.

 Really hard to predict but I want to see Bitcoin price $8000 -  $12000 or even more in coming year 2018. I think bitcoin price will be high. Bitcoin price increasing day by day. Actually i love Bitcoin so much.

Will it is only speculation but i think too that bitcoin value will reach $10,000 by the end of 2018.This is because bitcoin now is becoming more popular to the other nations and to its people resulting to more investments are pouring in. Many countries are now adopting bitcoin because they believed that it will make their economy strong therefore this will increase the demand resulting for bitcoin to become more expensive that is why $10,000 is my mark for the next year.

In mid year 2018 June to July a 9000$ is absolutely possible and at the end of the year a 10000$ - 11000$ as it was predicted with a great trust on bitcoin price.

It might be untrue or exaggerated for some but for me it’s even small and I just make the safest price or the minimum as of my predictions.

i think we will start with 6,000 and pumped to 7,000$ stable on it and end new 8,000$ (about 7,341)

I like your prediction, around middle of the next year bitcoin price can mark 10000 dollars, and bitcoin should hold tight for that mark. We can wish higher price, but that will not happen so soon, bitcoin will give a chance to other crypto currencies. I believe next year situation with all this new alts will be more clear and people will get back to bitcoin and old alts more next year.
My wish is bitcoin to reach 10000 dollars and to stay there for all next year, this investing in alts needs to playoff and for that bitcoin needs to be calm for some time and let others to grow.

Although no one knows the future but i'm predicting the bitcoin price reached $7500 early in 2018 and about $9000 at the end of the year

yeah no one knows about bitcoin value in the future but lets just make some good predictions .lol anyways i recently read some good news about bitcoin value in future it will make a big wave again and surge to the top of speculated value such as 10k or more. But for me its hard to speculate because of its volatility.

I see a lot of speculations about the prices which are mainly nearby 7000$ - 8000$, and also I am thinking like that. The price of bitcoin is showing a big rising totally, and there are many people who believe that. And also, the number of the people who see bitcoin as a good investment way is increasing day by day and this situation is effecting the prices positively.

Many countries would have been recognized bitcoin legally and more people would be ready to invest in bitcoin in 2018. In the beginning of 2018 the price would be near to $10000 and definitely bitcoin will keep continue increase in the price. Most probably that the price would be above $15,000 at the end of 2018. I think in 2018 people will much believe and concentrate on bitcoin.

Well if I will follow my perspective about Bitcoin's price then I would say that Bitcoin will reach 12,000 USD by year 2018. I am thinking that Bitcoin will peak between the range of 10,000 USD and 12,000USD. I am always thinking that Bitcoin's price always doubles every year so my prediction will not be difficult for Bitcoin to reach. I just hope that Bitcoin follows its average trend and won't experience something similar to mt.gox.

Have you try looking at the graph of the price of bitcoin in the last 3 years because it can give you a more satisfying predictions this 2017 bitcoin almost increase up to 100% in just few month last July the value was only $2700 then this October it soar to $6000 but in the previous year the market increase were only about 25% so if we make any assumption bitcoin can possibly double by 2018 like what happen this year.

Well what I believe about bitcoin price I can just tell you that the price will be high because I know that way bitcoin is going to achieved his target and goals so its confirm that bitcoin price will be high but to say the exact price of bitcoin it don’t make sense because bitcoin is related with trade so the stick exchange so good so the price will be high.

Exactly, if the price of bitcoin will settle on $6000 before the end of the year, then 2018 will yield up from $6100-$10,000 before the year runs out. And that will be promising by 2018.

I will assume I’m seeing the future and need to report it to anyone. I’ll be happy to say that I’m looking for a 10500$ price as the peak price of bitcoin at that year (2018).

Talking about predictions is not more of it’s technicality that matters it is more of what makes you happy about it. It’s like making a highest grade in math in a whole class in final exam. That’s how it feel and it’s subjective.

It has increased 5 fold this year so it is definitely a possibility. Going by that, we could even realistically predict 25k -30k which is just laughably high.

For me bitcoin price in 2018 year it will be about 7500-8000$ not more because bitcoin had already big grow and I think that now will price start to decrease then it will grow again later.

My guestimate would be 6000-8000 us dollars. Because clearly bitcoin is steadily growing and has a solid foundation.

Well if I may predict with the recent prices of bitcoins playing at 2700 to 5700 well if you take in analytical approach then it well may even reach at 7500 at the beginning of 2018 that would be a huge lift for us sellers who are waiting for the price to hike up to maximize our potential investment in bitcoin.  :)

I wish that bitcoin will continue to rises until 2018. By that time my rank here in the bitcoin forum was also rank up. And by that many opportunity will come and I can earn more bitcoin by doing trading and joining a signiture campaign. I can have a greater salary.  If the bitcoin reach 7000k by next im sure many bitcoin users will encougare to wark hard and earn BTC.

This is a realistic and possible price on 2018 and it's better not to ask and hope for higher amount so that we will be good at this rates.

For now I'm going to stay good at $5,500 for this year and I won't doubt if it's going to be doubled on 2018 but if not that will be fine.

Before the end of 2018 I am predicting that bitcoin will get to $15,000 and my speculation is based on how bitcoin has been moving in 2017. We can said bitcoin has a fruitful year in 2017 because from the beginning of this year many people were speculating that bitcoin will get to $4000 but we are currently in $6000 and we may still go further.  2018, is going to be another bubble year as the road to it is looking smooth and appreciating. I have been following the trend since the beginning of the year and we are now in the strong bullish position.

After the hard fork in November, the price would increase and would reach around $7k in the beginning of 2008. Bitcoin gold has been introduced. This may bring down bitcoin value bit lower in the beginning. But, once btc comes into circulation, bitcoin price will again increase. It will reach around $7.5k by mid of 2008 and may reach $8k at the end of 2008.   

For me the possie price of bitcoin in that year is 10k dollars because I beleive bitcoin will increase more and possible to increase mor ein the next few month. But it depends always on the demand on the market if the price of bitcoin will increase or decrease but I hope it will increase so those people like me can earn a lot of profit in the future but you need to wait few months or few years

Realistically, hitting $10k seems quite feasible.  Heck, if the segwit2x fork goes well (whatever that means), I wouldn't rule out $10k by the end of the year, given how crazy bitcoin can get sometimes.  In 2018, I could even seen $15k or $20k+, if things go well and really big investors get on the train.  However, even if we do get crazy high like that, I'm sure it's going to be a bumpy road.  I wouldn't be surprised if we see $3k or less along the way.

Yes of course no one can say anything about the price of bit coin in the year 2018 because there is fluctuation in price of bit coin so it is looking impossible to predict it but we can guess only on the past as well as the present situation I am very optimistic in this matter.

9000 US dollar is my prediction despite the negative issues bitcoin currently recieved by the people in the mass or medias but still it doesn't stop the fact the bitcoin is spreading and many more people are getting attracted  to it. So I think that bitcoin will continually increase.

long ago, no one can accurately predict the bitcoin price. even when the price is still under $ 1000, a big CEO says that bitcoin prices will reach $ 2000 by 2017. but, I guess the predictions are not accurate, in fact, the current bitcoin price is so far out of that price. well, I just hope that the bitcoin price in 2018 will be even higher.

It's possible though to reach $10,000 in the end of the year of 2017, we never know. I think we can see how much is the price of bitcoin will be when the next fork on November comes. I think the price of bitcoin can increase up to $7k-9k after the fork.

I think the price of bitcoin at the end of 2018 will be $ 8000.Because nowadays the demand for bitcoin is more,so in future it will go to very good price.But some researches says that it will go $ 20K but i don't think it will go to that much,but who knows maybe it will.If it does everyone will be happy.Lets see how much it will go until that we have to wait.

While I agree that another 5-fold increase over the next year would be a lot harder to achieve than this last 5-fold increase, why do you think that we should start looking at it from a dollar amount now instead of a percentage amount?  So far, bitcoin has done a pretty good job of continuing to increase in price exponentially.  That will have to stop at some point, but why now?  (I'm not saying that you're wrong; I'd just like to know why you think we should change our perspective now.)

You can't predict what Bitcoin's price is going to be by next week, let alone 2018. I don't even know why this kind of questions get asked, is not like anyone has a valid answer to them.

I think based on this year price gap of bitcoin the value can possibly doubled by next year since the demand in bitcoin continuously increasing and the supply is very limited the price adjustment will hace to handle everything and for it to sustain the market demand the price need to be increased. I can see that popularity of bitcoin is really heading to world wide which means bulk demand will be coming

I am pretty confident that we will reach the 10,000 dollar mark on 2018, maybe on 2nd or 3rd quarter. And on its last quarter, it will be between 10,000 and 12,000. This is based from my thoughts that Bitcoin price doubles per year so since we achieved a peak or 6000 USD recently, it will double on the following year.

Its pretty likely Bitcoin will hit the $10000 value by Q3 2018. But I have a doubt whether it can reach $12000 mark. Though it has a firm chance but the market is changing and there are some upcoming regulations/rules by specific countries which may affect the Bitcoin value.

Maybe we could reach usd 8000-10000 the price of bitcoin next year. Bitcoin has become stronger so bitcoin possibly could reach a high price. We never know yet but there is a big chance.

I think it will be able to reach a value of 7000$ or more, early 2018 and probably, if good things happen, by the end of 2018 it could have a value of 10000$. I can't predict of a higher market value since anomallies are always unexoected and knowing that Bitcoin is volatile, there's always a tendency for its market value to change anytime.

Bitcoin raised six times from the beginning of the year, so if to make a project for the next year the price should be like 36000$  :o but I think it's impossible to happen next year. I suppose to see 10000$ as a new highest record, I'm waiting for that, this is my check point on which I plan to cash out everything that I could safe  ;D

$10000 definitely by the end of 2018 for sure. Hold your bitcoins, trade them but never sell them. It was always the same from the beginning and people tend to hold.

Ya true Buddy.The price of bitcoin is keeps on increasing.It's possible to reach 10000 $ at 2018.But before that their will be a Up's and Down in price.If you want profit means,don't sell when the price is low and don't brought when the price is high.My speculation is also 10k$.Even it may reach higher than that.But not lower then that.

It isn't impossible to predict price, you know what's impossible? To know what's going to be the exact price of bitcoin. Predicting is a very easy thing, it's like educated guess giving out a number for the price of bitcoin that's it. But we should have basis for that price that we are giving or predicting. With my wish first, I wish that the price will go up to $500,000 as McAfee is saying that will be one of the best day ever in our lives if that happens.

Mine is more of a wish than a prediction, I would love to see us hitting $10k by the end of the year and then by this time next year at least double that.

It is looking not an impossible task for bit coin to cross 10000$ to 15000$ because we are looking the high speed of popularity of bit coin and the interest level of investors in bit coin. Further more the demand for bit coin is increasing day by day which is a good indication for increasing it value.

I expect a positive outlook in bitcoin price in 2018. We have a fruitfull 2016 and 2017 and I expect this to continue. I am also happy seen bitcoin making a positive impact for this last quarter of the year, I had that China has unbanned bitcoin activities and we may see bitcoin above  $12,000 in 2018.

How do you link the world cup in Russia to an increase in the price of bitcoin? I expect 10k will be breached next year also, but not for any such specific reasons.

I think everyone does not know what will happen with bitcoin prices in 2018.
But according to predictions bitcoin prices earlier this year will skyrocket.
I see the reputation of bitcoin is increasing every day, until now bitcoin is still very busy discussed by nitizen especially on the internet, because bitcoin prices claimed to soar earlier this year.
Let's wait for what will happen at the beginning of next year and i hope that prediction is true.

I think, early 2018 it will be priced at 75000$ especially id the hardfork in November will be a success. Its market value will surely increase right after it. By the end of 2018 and if notging wrong that is not infavor with Bitcoin, will happen, I think it is possible for its value to reach 10000$ b3fore that year end since its value is continuously rising because of the high demand in the market.

Agree, in my speculation bitcoin will reach $10,000 in 2018, because if we see the fluctuation of bitcoin in the market we will see that this crypto currencies are rapidly increasing. If you review the increasing map of bitcoin in the market you can see that bitcoin value now was increase around $5000, so I have no doubt that this coming 2018 I can see that bitcoin value were reach the $10,000 hopefully.

In my opinion, the price of bitcoin by year 2018 will breach $10,000 but, it would be a struggle to maintain that price range . Many investors would take profit by January 2018 probably because they need cash due to their expenses from the Christmas season. Although there will be an increase in volatility of the price, it is all part of the process of the development of bitcoin. It is best to accumulate as much bitcoin as we can and hope for the best.

You are absolutely right that we have no idea what it's really going to be.  I think a lot of people just enjoy speculating--dreaming big and such.  It can be useful if it leads to a good discussion.  Sometimes people bring up arguments on either the bullish or bearish side that you haven't heard before (or at least that's been true for me).  But it can be unproductive if people just pull numbers out of their bottoms without any rational explanation for it.

it can goes up to $7000 in the first month of bitcoin right now the price is around $6000 barrier and not going up since there's a lot of panic sellers that want to make a good profit at this price they're dumping the price so they can afford btc before the price goes up and reach $7000 barrier.

We cannot exactly tell how much will be the price of bitcoin by the year 2018. No one knows even the 1st person using bitcoin will not know how much bitcoin price will be. But in my own analysis and ny own opinion, maybe by the year 2018 bitcoin price will hit up to an average of $15k. IF all of us will stick using it even there would be a new biggest coin.

I think that by the end of 2018 bitcoin will be worth more than 10000 dollars, for some that may seem like a lot of money and to some that may look like too little, but I think that is a fair assessment, some are giving ridiculous predictions that bitcoin is going to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, but I do not think a crash is likely either, so so think bitcoin is going to grow in value but not as much as this year.

As for me, I expect Bitcoin value to reach $10,000 by the end of December 2018. What guide my expectations it that, if Bitcoin market value could move from  $2000 in January 2017 to $6,300 at the end of October 2017, it means  $10,000 can be achieve by the end of December 2018 if all things remain equal.

With the demand continues to increase, I am projecting to have an increase up to 8000$ at the end of 2018. But I am also predicting some downfall in the middle of it. It always does. But that doesn't mean it can come back. There has been a lot of things happening lately but still Bitcoin managed to stay high in value. I think it can still do so for the next years to come.

There is no question about the popularity of bit coin as well as assuming the highest price for bit coin in the future due to the multi dimensional advantages and merits of bit coins like reducing unemployment as well as a very easy access without the restriction of age or gender or other criteria’s I am sure that bit coin will hit 9000$ to 10000$.

Due to the prospects of the listing of BitcoinETFs, investments by sovereign wealth funds, family offices and pension funds (those could take longer due to regulatory issues) I am looking at at least 250,000 USD by the end of the year.

It's really very difficult to make assumptions or speculations regarding price of such a volatile currency so we cant make predictions but taking into considerations rising demand and popularity of btc the prices rises.The total market cap is increasing and countires,agrncies,companies are also accepting btc and adopting blockchain technology which is giving boost to the prices.The prices at the end of this year can be approximately at $50000-$60000 so be part of digital revolution.
