IOTA is not going to make money in the coming decade.

IOTA is definetly a good asset, given the current place in market cap, not sure what it can do better to rise.

I think IOTA price will depend on how far will devices use the IoT in their components. and i do not expect to be much more in 2018, it may reach 5$ by December 2018 for the best expectations.  (by the way i already bought a lot of it )

I think that the private transactions are going to be the most important one.

Once they can implement a built in mixing service like Monero/Dash then the price is going to get pumped, hard. But right now, there isn't a lot of interest in the coin so it seems. People aren't really keeping an eye on IOTA.

Could be a good time to accumulate but also could go down further.

Well it's still very nice gains for ICO investors and i'm sure that a lot of them wouldn't mind dumping their coins at a lower level because they have already made hundreds of times in terms of fiat gains from their ICO investments.

Short term, expect some few more dips in price.

But if they keep up with their promises then yeah, they could well achieve many ATHs from now on.

IOTO will move forward as long as there are partnership with larger players in the IOT space.

The current wallet needs more work to allow it to improve.

Items such as security with the wallet is important.

More exposure, listed on multiple exchanges.

The devs not getting caught up in the slack dealing with FUD and the like.

IOTA is very technically advanced coin. I think IOTA is going to be new litecoin or nem in terms of use, I bet its going to be 3rd best coin ever. But it is still too early as I wait for early buyers to dump.

In the first half of 2018 i think iota will reach a new alltime high. The Price is good to buy now, i have some coins since a few months and will add up some more.

Honestly speaking, these news and real-world usage will not affect the price of it in 2018 as long as BTC's having a bull run. This case is also applicable to all the altcoins out there. If BTC continues its bullish trend in the coming year, we will see all-time lows coming from the alts market. But, if it will run a sideways pattern, we could see some ATH again from the alts especially the IOTA. We could hope big time that in 2018, IOTA will make a comeback and have a $1 value again.

BTC bull market is only due to BTC hard fork and will definitely end November 18. All altcoins suffer from this fork. IOTA will keep decreasing, like all altcoins do. Guess we will see a rate of 0.2$-0.25$ before the 18th.
But this has nothing to do with the project itself. Rate will reach 0.45$-0.55$ soon after fork.
I recommend to buy on the 17th.

IOTA's ICO happened in 2015 at a cap of 500k.

probably due to the relative low price of IOTA (with respect to the ATH at $1). I am not sure about it but now more and more people say that something big will come but don't make an investement based on rumors :p For me, IOTA has very interesting technology although the development process is slow.   

Ethereum needed around 2-3 years to reach a market cap of 30 billion USD, also because huge corporate interest and cooperations with big names.

IOTA is right now establishing those cooperations, and most of them have not been announced.

IOTA is a serious project with one of the best technologies out there, not one of those pump and dump shitcoins. They are not aiming for sharp increases followed by huge drops.

If you want high short-term profits, try to be lucky with a shitcoin or scam project.
Currently rate is overvalued because of cancelled fork and dropping BTC. Furthermore there is too much hype and shill.
Don't you guys realize that a constant and stable growth is much better for a serious project than all this pump and dump?

I guess there will be another drop very soon, because hype doesn't last long and there are still some whales out there. But by end of 2018 we might see rates around 0.3$.

Yes I'm a HODLer and yes I believe in the long-term success of this project.

Once more investors realize that IOTA value cant be manipulated by miners and stakers I think wider scale adoption will take place.

They also have to make a more stable wallet & update system. There is too much maintenance involved for the casual investor.

IOTA will be huge! It will just take a while, but it will be huge. The IoT has not really started yet and there aren't many devices who support this kind of technology, but in the future we'll be seeing more and more machines talking to one another and then they will have to operate on blockchain, and IoTA will be there to offer that solution. They have already the pioneer advantage which is huge, and probably the most important factors for future success. The reason why they are nr. 1 is because they have the technology, which took a long time to develop and the right team to back it up. Many blockchains might be based on that technology in the future, and I predict it will sooner or later show up in terms of price, we're talking about many more billions in 2018 and much more in 2019.

I guess IOTA is certainly a contender for next year, but then there are too many variables to count upon. They are not the only innovator for internet of things either, I recently am hearing big news from Hyundai DAC which will be a serious competitor since it has a LOT of products ready for testing and a very well recognized team with a lot of specialists. And IOT is already an industry Hyundai is familiar with, it will get a lot of support from their own corporate structure.

So IOTA has to move quickly - they are more flexible and more agile than Hyundai, but we will soon see exactly how much more than the South Korea giant tech firm.

i always think that IOTA is the only currency which will worth a lot in the near future. it is in my list that will make me millionare in the near future. i always believe that iota has a huge potential as it has a really good team and has enough potential to be worth a lot. if we see its marketcap which is huge and most of the people are coming to join it. Also features are also very great.

Looks like just pump this not organic growth - for one day made 60 %. Its located on bitfinex mostly. And I think this all just all someones margin trading for few days... But I think It could still make good growth  without pumps and dumps.

Those price predictions and analysis are good because it has a reason why its gonna pump in future. As long as they keep creating a business relationship with biggest Retail giants will get them to the top in market capability.
It's really good to see since there will be a gains for ICO investors.
Real thing is everything is based on the bitcoin value pumping. Lets see how the BTC fork going to affect the future.

Right now, IOTA's price is at $3.83. Since they've announced a partnership with Microsoft, it attracts hundreds of investors to buy more into this digital currency. For my 2018 prediction, I assume it will go up by $50 or up to $100 per coin. I think it is going to be great for this coin alone and now sitting at the 4th spot behind Bitcoin Cash.

IOTA do not look bad so we can invest in it but in my opinion it will not grow high. Maybe achieve few dollars that is all

Cryptocurrencies are the basic of 4.0 revolution. Now Bitcoin exposed a lot of weakness (high fee, slow transaction, wast of energy...). What will replace him, IOTA can. 2018 it can reach 20-50 USD.

IOTA does have the potential but I would consider still a risky investment. The past couple of months IOTA was idle and gained no profit in price.
Now all of a sudden there is a development and the price goes high. It might be genuine but it may also be manipulation. IOTA is a long term investment coin and if it grows constantly then the price might reach $10-$20 by February ending. It depends on the developers of IOTA whether the coin will have any value in the future or not.

All cryptocurrencies are high risk investments--iota invalidates a lot of what blockchains were hyped to do, so even long standing (kind of weird that <10 years is long standing) are threatened in this environment. AFAIK the only use case that iota doesn't replace is privacy, so only a few cryptos won't be disrupted if they are successful in growing the network.

I think IOTA will be a mainstream currency due to the tangle blockchain, it may be a little stagnant in 2018, but I think eventually people will see the major use cases in it being adopted by automated machines and it will moon. $10 maybe next year, but in a few years time it will grow in 100's in cap. Gonna be huge, fill youre bags people.

i am starting to like IOTA a lot and i believe it actually has some good chances of big rises. although i wouldn't be expecting a huge price from it because of its supply but still 26000 satoshi is pretty low for a project like this. it should be at least 5 times this value.

as for investing, i think it is not such a good time to do it now because of two reasons. the important one which is bitcoin price rising and causes altcoins to get dumped. and the other important reason is that IOTA is already pumped and it needs time and possibly some big drop before start rising.

Actually the strongest point of Iota and the rate 0 in transactions (today we have some competitors to it like the Soferox that is still in the process of construction). And lately it is going up like a rocket but I still do not feel total security with this coin because it is in a sea of rumors, every day there are new rumors of partnerships or fans of the project, but most of the time nothing confirms, about this last news that left the partnership with Microsoft, if this is true the price of it will hit the 15 dollars fast.

Not sure why everyone gets all hot and bothered with MS when both Fujitsu and Bosch are comprable to Microsoft and have stronger relationships with Iota, AFAIK the MS partnership is one of the smaller groups that works with IOT and is collaborating in a minor way--speculators blew it out of proportion both positively and negatively, but that's normal FUD and HYPE.

Anyway here's proof for Bosch and Fujitsu--wish people would go and do their own research rather than spread rumors, but why should I expect people to act like adults in cryptoland.

I think we will see a more technically apt IOTA competitor. IOTA tema had made some rookie mistakes like rolling out their own crypto, despite a solid science base behind a coin.

No, still testing stages--what they are testing is a mixer, so not exactly the privacy you want if you are worried about a three letter agency or censorship resistance.

I have  also  bought  some  Oyster pearl  coins (PRL) on Etherdelta (the only exange  that  have them) traded at  few cents  and  I have red that  they use both Ethereum and  IOTA platform

IOTA in my opinion can never be a sustainable investment as long as someone can hijack your IOTA coins. This is not a proper Blockchain, this is something different and I don't think it can be trusted. I purchased some IOTA a few months ago and spend 2 months trying to access my wallet. When I eventually got access to my wallet my balance was 0

After much searching it turns out that the IOTA foundation is minding (confiscated) my IOTA and there is some crap reclaim process that I followed to try and get my IOTA back. I still have not got them back. To me this seems like a scam.

Maybe you should try the reclaim process again--AFAIK most people haven't had any issues, though troubleshooting isn't really everyone's cup of tea.

Iota price has spike recently because they already open their data market and its awesome. From now iota will growth healthy not spike but sill can growth upm i predict $15 per miota is possible for 2018. Or maybe $20. In 2021 it may reach $50 and it is reasonable price imo

It will fall now as the former ceo confirmed that Microsoft is just a participant and not a partner. No one has yet confirmed this news but it surely had a negative impact on the price atleast for now.

For long term hold if Microsoft is indeed a participant that would mean more companies might collaborate with them i have already purchase 100 iota maybe it might be profitable in the future.

I think that the price will rise but these prices are difficult.

I think that now IOTA is worth to buy at a price below 2.5$. In the long-term it has great potential. I also hope there wil be more correction and I will buy more IOTA.

I see a good future for IOTA in 2018, its a very interesting project with feeless concept. The most people are scared about the high bitcoin fees and they are looking for something that is cheaper for their transactions!

Don't be impatient on any altcoin investment. You will find the altcoin normally fluctuates more than bitcoin and other top list altcoins. IOTA is one of grand project with the good dev team. This shows decent growth from the past week as noticed. Actually if you look with the comparison of last month to now it is little cheap only.
Now you can see the IOTA price as around 3.90 USD and it is dumped from the past 24 hours.
Wait for sometime due to christmas bump you may find the some growth in the buying IOTA and its price will be also increase in the chart.

I think it might be around 20 dollars easy.Microsoft partnership is something that not every project can be proud of.Means this project have guts and and showed it self as a solid market player.

The Tangle blockchain is too good a concept to ignore, will be watching Iota closely and looking to make a big move on it when the time is right. This is a top 3 coin, will just take time for newbies and investors to catch on, but they will eventually. 20x in 2018 I think.

My prediction for 2018 is that IOTA will be the currency with the biggest market cap right behind Bitcoin.

Fees are so high currently and it will not last long until the fee fud will start and IOTA will win that battle.

I think IOTA can get to Ethereum's current marketcap. So we looking at a $24 IOTA coin next year.

I am not so sure as what might be the price of IOTA by years end. But I think it will be higher than this years since IOTA already had made agreements with top notch computer companies and collaborations with universities. So I think we will be for a good hell of a ride.

The price is unpredictable however. It can cost either still 0,5$ or say 5000$ and more. But i think that IOTA will become the next big thing. However, it will have a hard long time reaching a price of even 100 to 300 dollars.

It is tough task to come up with reasonable price prediction as an amateur. However I strongly believe this technology has the potential to become integrated in the real world more than Bitcoin is today. Majority of people want Zero transaction fees and much faster transfers done than with bitcoin. Good luck with IOT investments.

really? what makes you think it'll reach $500. Have you looked at total number of coins? I think $10 is more likely, if it reaches $50 I'll be very surprised and happy. I had speculated that it would reach $5 between December and January and looks like I was right with that prediction  :)

I base evaluations against market, not marketcap versus BTC or any smallercap coin. Given the projections of 10-35 trillion for IOT in the next few years, IOTA only needs to capture a small percentage to be +trillion in marketcap--when the devs say it will be O or a trillion, they are on point. Either corporations join in the building of the IOTA network, or it fails--there's no real inbetween (at least not beyond the context of 2-4 years).

Commissioned by the municipality of Haarlem, ICTU and Xurux developed a Proof of Concept to verify legal documents within public registers via the open source ‘IOTA-Blockchain’

The Xurux and ICTU developed software guarantees the authenticity of legal documents through the open source ‘Blockchain’. In the specific case a citizen can demonstrate to the housing corporation that he or she is an inhabitant of the city of Haarlem by means of Blockchain. The Citizen no longer needs to visit the town hall to receive an official extract.

According to Bas de Boer, innovation manager of the municipality of Haarlem and initiator of the project, the Proof of Concept shows that blockchain or the so called mutual distributed ledger technologies can be implemented in short term. “By figure of speech, the application could be deployed tomorrow. It enhances the technology and its adaptation in the public domain, improving society as a whole.”

Choosing IOTA means that some drawbacks of the Bitcoin blockchain are resolved, such as high energy consumption, transaction costs and relatively slow transaction speed.

The software is released as open source software free for use by governmental and municipal organizations working with public register extracts. The intention is to bring the application in production in 2018. The benefit for the municipality of Haarlem would be 2 FTE that would become available for alternative assignments.

Note: IOTA uses the Tangle, a directed acyclic graph (DAG) for storing transactions and is strictly speaking not a blockchain. Mutual Distributed Ledger would be the correct term.

Some people claimed that iota can reach thousands of dollars next years, this is totally wrong. Look at the number of supply and multiply it with the price you claimed per unit and then you will see an impossible market cap at the end. This much easy to see your inaccuracy.

I think on the short/mid term the big profits are already made. Look what happened with IOTA in the beginning of december. IOTA jumped in a short time in the top 10. But for the long term I still think that you can make good profits, but the 10x gains are difficult to achieve with already 10B marketcap. IOTA will not develop as fast as we would like to. We need to wait a few months to get a good profit. Maybe only at the end of the year we will get x5-x15.

Last year, we've seen a lot of coins doing 700% easier but I guess this year will be different: Only coins with real success and use cases will get great gains (obviously, there will always be exceptions).

IOTA is another Ethereum. This blockchain is also designed and developed for adoption of token creation for the company. As this coin is in the infant stage in the cryptocurrency market and Ethereum has demanded more so IOTA has some less demand now. But, after a year it must draw the attention of more company for creating the token on its blockchain. And, price also go up very sharply.
