Tax. It's the major reason.
Anonymity, it's the second one and most troubling. Bitcoin can be used for money laundering and illegal business which is somewhat untraceable.

cryptocurrnecy is the most used today in the black market
That's why govrnmet don't like it

Control over a population's currency is a big deal, crypto threatens that control, shakes things up in a way that is not predictable.

Because Fiat currency is directly tied to the country, and the economy.  Cryptocoins are universal and not tied to anything.  Also Cryptocurrencies are still the wild west.  Far to many people out hacking/stealing ect.  And Wallets not as easy to use as handing someone a $20 bill, and 1 wallet update gone wrong, or every unbacked up wallet that occurs on a device that crashes add a pile of things that will cause the majority from accepting it.

As far as things like Anonymity and taxation.  Those are far easier to control with a cryptocurrency.  Fiat is fairly untraceable.  So I don't buy those as being reasons at all.

They want to control you. And bitcoin can't be controlled. Ergo - government doesn't like btc.

Why they don't accept the better technology..I can't understand why they don't accept it??
One of reason of this , is the goverment (goverment that did not accepting cryptocurrency) they think that will kill their own fiat system even theirs a better technology behind crypto and they think they cant control crypto once they accept it.

Government can't control the digital currency, the main reason why they won't allow us using bitcoin. The government also afraid that bitcoin will replaced money.

Every government has its own currency. The value of that currency depends on the Export-Import Deficit of the country. If the country performs well, they do more exports than imports. Their currency value goes up.

With Bitcoins, the value of cryptocurrency is almost depended on the same logic. More Bitcoins in demand, more the value. However, Bitcoin performance is Global and is not affected by a country-specific performance. If governments start accepting bitcoins, they will need to do a lot of economic and financial changes. Plus a lot more macroeconomic factors that the government will have to take into account.

because tax not pay on bit coin for the government. main reason this one. bit coin transaction is more safe and secure but here had no tax. one country growth depends on tax only then without tax paying services how to encourage government. in many major country's using bit coins but it has no tax. for that only one reason government may not accepting it. next one is illegal, people who doing illegal business like that people investing in bit coin investing in bit coin, no need to say and show our profit details so most of the people skipping tax for the government.

Government also concerned about the money-laundering and illegal activities like terrorism and transaction of drugs. Due to decentralized nature of bitcoin,  they can't control over the money of their people. But with the good reputation and increasing price of bitcoin, I know they will change their mind and opening a legal concerned about virtual currency.

One reason is the government don't like the concept of Bitcoin and this is because of the anonimity of Bitcoin that they can't manipulate how Bitcoin Circulate through-out the country. Therefore they can't Launder any money from the peoples Taxes. Another reason is they are too close-minded and can't accept the idea of using bitcoins as their fiat.

I can understand that some countries can not accept bitcoin because they can't generate fund from it.  Taxes were not payed and it kills businesses that require manpower. And the fact that they can't manipulate and earn from it also circles.

The bitcoin was created in the last few years, and it is highly valuable because of the benefits it brings, but it also has disadvantages such as unstable prices, because anonymity should be used by bad guys, That is why the government has not allowed bitcoin to be legalized.

Government doesn't accept bitcoin because the government always wants profit. Likewise, government wants every "business" or every transaction to have "tax". If the government will recognize bitcoin, then all the people would probably just clicking on their phones, laptops or computers the whole day. Imagine if they would just stay at home and won't work anymore, government will not be benifitted anymore.

The state is primarily interested about themselves and not about the people living in it! Tax. This is the main reason.
Anonymous, this is the second and most disturbing. Bitcoin can be used for money laundering and illegal business, which is somewhat obscure, plus the accountability of citizens, why did the government successful and rich people, they want SLAVES,and only 5-10% rich and the rest of the attendants,so it is not profitable.

They don't accept yet that bitcoin maybe because they need to pass a bill first regarding the acceptance of bitcoin. And that, they need a dept undestanding how bitcoin works and its culture. Perhaps, there are more things to be prioritize than that. Hoping that in the near future, bitcoin will be accepted.

In my opinion, the reason why many countries don't accept Bitcoin is because it takes away the control they'd have had on huge transactions since it's anonymous. China put strict laws on the cryptocurrency. Now, Russia wants to start it's own cryptocurrency "Cryptoruble" under the orders of President Putin. This is all to curb Bitcoin's influence.

in my opinion some state governments do not directly reject the bitcoin, they can not accept bitcoin because they have not understood about the application of digital currency also about its use in its country.
of course the governments of these countries need to review all things related to bitcoin, they also need to draft standard regulation of bitcoin and its use in order to protect the interests of the state and its people.

Bitcoin are anonymous and freedom and goverments don't like those features.

imo it is so new that legislation is running behind. Legislation is the usual means of control. The law is, as Bastiat concisely said, “legislated force”. If the law fails, then it is back to good old fashioned grift and violence.

If they can’t mooch the golden eggs, they will roast the golden goose for dinner.

Also, right now, clearly money is pouring into cryptos and it is a new frontier. We know this even here, as there are many posters from all over the world who hope to create a new situation of wealth for themselves and their families.

This is truly a new development.

Governments will have to be advised by people that understand what is happening and that requires a set of new skills. Government just isn’t in a situation to adapt that quicky.

Bitcoin is only the beginning, but given its historical role, also as entrepot to other cryptos, especially given time to confirmation, it is going to continue to rise. It is more like gold, old money, even though it is not even ten years old.

Governments care not much about this sort of thing, as long as they get their cut.

What is really interesting is bitcoin was created as government and banking elites prepared themselves to go fully digital and make all depositors become unsecured creditors to fiat banks, ie directly steal from depositors! As if debt and inflation was not eniugh, they are so greedy!

A truly anonymous, decentralised, low to no fee model of exchange is an obvious choice to confront them with, but we are not quite there yet. For now, we live in a remarkable historical moment.

I don't know if you know this but pretty sure you have seen the replies on this thread and I'm going to say it anyway... Basically it's TAX! These government doesn't want bitcoin because they won't profit from it pure and simple. Outside that, bitcoin is generally anonymous. You won't be able to trace who is funding who. Do with that in mind, terrorism and money laundering could easily be done with this platform

Title: Re: Why government don't accept bitcoin???

The reasons why government don't accept bitcoin may include no revenue to generate like Tax,Vat,bank charges  and others, since it is a digital currency that works with Blockchain Technology, the government will not see the need or benefit involve in accepting Bitcoin, the government may be considering what Economic impact that Bitcoin will generate to countries financial growth and may not really see it in any way. And since the government and the Financial institution really do not understand the ideology behind the Bitcoin, all they could do is not to accept bitcoin.

Yes, it's one possible reason but not only one.
What if someone stole your bitcoin?
Can you complain to the authorities? Ask for legal protection?
Which authorities?
There is no country or bank responsible for bitcoin.
I think that we may have state crypto currency in the future, controlled by the government.

Most governments have legalised bitcoins in several countries and though they have legalized it, they have issues with its anonymity because of money laundering, tax evasion and terrorism financing. They are looking for ways and means to combat these whiles they accept bitcoins.

Yes, it is also considered as one of the reason. But one major reason is that the government can't control bitcoin.

There are many countries where bitcoin is not legal..Why they don't accept the better technology..I can't understand why they don't accept it??What do you think about this topic, please share..
I think because bitcoin is a digital currency that can not be traced by the government, many gangsters who staged their actions here like (drug smugglers, corruptors and so on).

Most governments have their own reasons as to why they are currently not accepting bitcoins in their country regardless of that, people are buying and selling bitcoins there and if someone decides to accept bitcoin as a payment method, They can do it without the government.

Virtual currency is hard to control.
Bitcoin exchange rate up and down purely following the market mechanism. The government can not control the exchange rate, unlike the yuan against the US dollar. The government does not like something that can not be arranged.

Easy to use for fraud
For some people who understand the movement of Bitcoin, it could be a profitable investment.but for those who do not understand can be bandwagon and deposit the money to buy Bitcoin through any place so that there can be fraud.

Destroying the investment world
Bitcoin is potentially bubble and breaks out after a lot of popularity and lots of people want to have. Proven with its value that skyrocketed from $ 3000 to $ 1000 in just 8 months.when bubbles break and prices fall, investors will be harmed.

Government, church - all these things want is to control you - now when bitcoin can't be controlled it's a threat to them so they try to eliminate said threat - isn't it obvious?

For the same reason that bitcoin can't be controlled by them. Government have no control in bitcoin, it is decentralized and not regulated like any fiat currency where they have all the controls.

Tax. It's the major reason.
Anonymity, it's the second one and most troubling. Bitcoin can be used for money laundering and illegal business which is somewhat untraceable.

TAX TAX TAX this is the major reason

The government doesn't want to accept bitcoin because they will earn not from it, not like in fiat money the government controls the flow and taxes/transaction fee of it. While in cryptocurrency we users controls and transacts it.

Most likely they are afraid that the currency will be difficult to track, and they do not have enough strength to analyze all the actions of people.

Government might not be accepting cryptocurrencies due to the fact that they might still not have the technology or the right understanding or idea regarding it. Another is tge rapid change of value of cryptocurrencies.

I think he was talking about the governments policy of banning the use of bitcoin. Well, the government will surely won't accept bitcoin because they can't control it or they don't have control on it.

Bitcoin is anonymous and it will be very bad policy if government accept it because tracing transactions will be very hard.

Maybe governments do not accept Bitcoin because Bitcoin is not better technology.  If you own crypto on your computer then at some point in the future your coins will be stolen.  You can try to prevent it but inevitably you will have a lapse in your little security and some piece of shit hacker will steal your coins.  You need a central authority to make sure everything is equal for everyone.  Bitcoin is not better tech than what the Federal Reserve offers.  That is why it will never replace Fiat.

Do not accept coins from this address.  They are stolen.  All 113,026 of them  ARDOR-HKCS-V6N8-FH7T-A3SLF

Tax will be hard to claim. Also, the government and central bank will not have control over the circulation of it in a country, which is why fiat is used. Basically, governments want to maintain control over the currency.

Tax and they can't regulate it. How can they tax you if it's anonymous? How can they regulate when they're not needed and its only peer to peer? They always need their slice of the pie and with Bitcoin, they can't get it!

Since bitcoin can't be controlled and what we talk about is money, the government will not approve because they are incapable of regulating the tax or transactions made with bitcoin. Tracing transactions would be very hard, they will not be informed if something bad happened, for example, using it in bad terms or illegal activities.

On this topic, I think that countries that prohibit bitcoin are simply afraid of crypto-currencies and can not control such innovations. Many scare the new.

In my opinion why the government don't accept bitcoin because of many reasons..
1: fear to choice change the old money culture.
2: not prepared how to adopt the cryptocurrency.
3: doubt to accept it being new in this trend.
4: not having more partner country to welcome bitcoin.
5: never ever wants bitcoin.
6: no much information on what will be the good effect of bitcoin in the economy.
7: Many more reasons.

The government will be responsible in its community. Countries are in different place, different people, different environment and different ways of living. Bitcoin in general is helpful. The problem is in the countries leader.

I think it is because government cannot tax bitcoin since it is decentralized. And since, a lot of people are earning money from it, some people are quitting their job to focus on bitcoin. Which means, there would be less income tax for the government.

The government might not be able to accept bitcoin yet as they are not ready for it just as yet. The government prefers an actual currency and not a digital one as there might be more threats regarding security if the currency is something not tangible.

Are you people stupid?  How many millions of Bitcoin do you think the FED owns?  Government loves Bitcoin.  It's their golden goose.  It's lawlessness is what they love most about it.
You had a million dollars in Bitcoin stolen by a hacker?  Well too bad there are no laws to protect you.  Anyone with a sizable amount of Bitcoin is a target.  ALL BITCOIN USERS ARE CRIMINALS.  Using Bitcoin is the very definition of money laundering.  All they have to do is go pick you up and take your computer and tear your house apart until they get your password.  They don't work for free though.  They want the big dogs, and with all the scams and theft there are plenty of them.  It really is sad to see how people took what could have been a good thing and turned it into shit.  People will kill each other over numbers in a shitty software ledger.  Such simple minds.  Pathetic!!!

These are stolen coins.     ARDOR-HKCS-V6N8-FH7T-A3SLF  Use ARDOR and support thieves.  Make them rich.

I think you are just being too paranoid. Yes the government can do that, But I don't think a government will make that move, they own the fiat currency and can easily generate numbers of money they want. You been watching too much TV.
