Do you think it can be a good strategy waiting for 2x? Do you think it's better rebuy alts before the event or just after it? Thank you

it is impossible to say for sure, all we can do is guess.

and my guess is that bitcoin may have some small downtime for a short period of time since there is not much time left before the fork and in that time two very good opportunities will represent themselves:
1. at least some altcoins will have huge pumps which mean a lot of profit.
2. bitcoin will be in a dip and that means buying opportunity before the for happens and if 2x thing becomes a new altcoin you get more money out of it too.

for now i think it would the best for you to sell all of your alts and convert it to Bitcoin,
because every alts did not give us a positif sign and more likely the price will be pushed by the whales.
also Bitcoin rally will not stop and i believe there will be another movement by them,
just look at our current price,it's steadily and stabilize without a huge crash.

Nope, but if you are seeing about the latest news about the potential of the protest hardfork against bitcoin gold to be happened. I can say you can try to spent some of your altcoin and save your bitcoin.

If i see my coins price increases 2x,then i sell my altcoin for bitcoin.I've got twice more times.I think it's very profitable trade for me.I hopeful again come this time for me when i sell altcoin for 2x bitcoin.

It will be a huge mistake to categorize whole cryptocurrencies market into two segment, Bitcoin and alts. There are hundreds of coins, each being affected by thousands of factors. Open CMC any day and you will find all coins moving in different directions, some red, some green.
So it is wrong to make any trading strategy while generalizing all the altcoins. However, it is always recommended to invest in multiple coins rather than throwing all money in 2-3 coins.

Altcoins investment will not be long last more than a year I think. Since many coins are introduced next to  bitcoin. We just seeing ETH, LTC, dash and Dodge only a balance in the top alts list.
So we cannot expect every coin will be long last like bitcoin. Don't buy the alts again instead buy bitcoin save your coins in BTG rewarded wallet. That might profit for you.

I don't think so this would be proved good strategy this time. Bitcoin is already rise too much. I am expecting drop now because some correction is due that market has to follow anyhow. We can't depend only on bitcoin there are also some good alt coins that you can buy or hold for long that will also give you good profit. But I would advice you to research & select some 5 good altcoins that you think will remain strong whether Btc rise or drop. We should not believe on only 1 coin rest is your choice.

I think this's good time to buy more altcoin, just focus on big-volume coins.

For me, I just go for the coins/tokens I believe in.
I then place sell order of 50% of my coins at price 2.1x, in that way I recover my investment+transaction fees in x time.
I then place rest in 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x and 100x inorder to get profit.
That way I'll not miss any natural or artificial price pump.

If the next 2x will be generating annother forked coin and that will be a good thing but remember after the hardfork and there will be a big dump for sure. as you can see the market is in the demand on the bitcoin.

you shouldn't plan like this when it comes to altcoins. instead think of them as a temporary place where your bitcoins go before they come back with profit.

of course that is more of a traders' strategy but it is a good strategy that works best in altcoin market and will give you the most amount of profit. you start trading different altcoins whenever they have some news or hype and are getting pumped because of it and you always increase your bitcoin that you invest in them.

if you do that, you get the answer to your question too. the profit of trading like this is a lot more than the profit that a forked coin can give you. for example BTG gave me 19% profit which was good but trading can give me 100% profit.

I would not, soon the time for alts will come, and you'll think you can drain them up until the end of the year and you'll see that you were wrong. In general, it's yours, but leave at least part of it.

It is common believe that when something is valuable and important we want to buy them at any cost sometime we sell the other things for the sake of that important thing to buy. The same is for bitcoin if we want to have a positive outcome we should buy the bitcoin in the present time because this is the end of this year and I hope that in the next year the bitcoin price will rise we should buy bitcoin if we have altcoin we will sacrifice for the profit which will come from bitcoin

it might be a good idea but for me i would'nt do it cause bitcoin value is too high and even its rise i dont think i would be gain tremendous profit from it. so better split it to altcoin that you believe in to minimize the loss. but investing in bitcoin not a wrong decesion either. its just a better option that might you want to consider

For me, for the moment I prefer to buy and invest on Bch. just look at on the price showing keep moving up, I believe this can giving profits when I selling it back into bitcoin, and combine it with bitcoin that I have.. I'm sure this could be a strategy that can provides an opportunity to gain more profit while waiting for bitcoin price leads back moving higher up.

bitcoin only a few moments to 2x fork, I think you should buy altcoin is a good chance. because altcoin is at a low price, and will give you a 2x - 4x profit. and now altcoin has started up.

Agree, sell your altcoin when the hardfork coming, then back to trading with buy the altcoin, 4x profit is not hard but nothing impossible on trading.

Maybe. But we can never know. If there will be a massive buys or sells in bitcoin, altcoins always turns to red and you can loose money.

If you are a small invester it is better to go with altcoins than bitcoin because nowadays some of altcoin give much more profit than the bitcoin but some altcoins are risk to invest.So if you are a trader its better to go with sell altcoins for bitcoin because both will give you good profit but the profit will be based on your investment.

The real question is if alts will go lower when bitcoin goes down.

it can technically be a good idea to sell all your altcoins before bitcoin has a fork. then either keep your money as bitcoin or fiat ready to buy bitcoin.

because we have all seen many times in the past that when bitcoin price drops, altcoins follow it harder. so if you have altcoins they may lose a lot of their value. selling in this case is wise.
and when bitcoin has some downtime there will be a bigger rally right afterwards which means you have to join the bitcoin rally before it begins because afterwards it will be late and you miss out. not to mention altcoins will drop during big bitcoin rallies.

I see all my alts are down, so I think it is  a good time to buy more. Maybe gradually before the event. After that, I will see if 2x will bring bitcoin higher or lower price. My actions will depend on which way bitcoin will go after the event. Right now, it is just buy alt for me since it is cheap.

All alts are on a downward trend now. And they will be in the mext months. People say that the next appreciation of the alts value will happen in at least some months from now. If you have many alts, my advice is to sell them for the bitcoin and wait 2-3 months before doing something. The bitcoin is appreciating, this is certain, 99% of the alts have a downwards trend.  

I believe no. Because there is someone that I know signaled me that not to sell my alts because it will go boom this time around. So guyss, just hold on your alts and probably we can profit a lot. I am so excited for the boom of CTR and AVT. Let's go.

Personally, I am holding 30% of my portfolio as BTC like all the time. But before this for, I increased the percentage to 50. It is up to you, but my suggestion is to divide your money to both BTC and alts.

I don't know why people say alt coins are where you park your Bitcoin, or that altcoins should be temporary assets in ones portfolio.. if we are to build a robust crypto economy this attitude will not work. You should invest for long term to see good appreciation in value. Day trading and swing trading is different.
This fork if it happens will be different from the previous ones as both are competing for the top spot or the right to call themselves Bitcoin.. the blockchain with the maximum hashpower/miners could be called Bitcoin according to some exchanges..

Way too early to leave alts and step into btc. Fork isn't until more then 2 weeks. A lot of profits to be made the nxt week.

that might be a good idea but not for me because i wont do much on the bitcoin because the bitcoin has a high value and also i wont get a lot of profit from it. for me it is better to split it to another altcoin the minimize the loss of the coin but investing on the bitcoin was not a wrong decision it is  your own opinion if what strategy would you like to do

When do u think make sense to convert alts into btc?  I mean how many days before the fork? One day or two days?

a good chance when bitcoin goes up and we can buy thousands of altcoins instead of having to sell them.
and when the bitcoin starts to stabilize wait a while and you will benefit from altcoin that has increased.

Everyone is doing a guess work when it comes prediction and it's not clear to make focus on. It is always a good plan buying altcoins and waiting for an increase in its price.

I think price of bitcoin ,altercoin will keep fluctuating but buying altercoin and waiting for price rise is a good business idea.

I normally look just for a weekly profit and withdraw at that point and then look to another coin most of these coins now days will fail anyway. Then I convert my earnings to Bitcoin

that's a  good strategy buying while price was low then wait for some time before selling when the value went up, its better to understand how the business
works and knows where your investment being place, as long as you know how to deal with loses and you have time to wait then its still good to hold alts than sell it for btc right away.

I think, i will sell altcoin for bitcoin start on November 1st. Then hold btc for several weeks. And start trading on december.

Yes, people are doing that and I think its a good idea because I heard that Bitcoin is getting forked which means there is going to be a new coin called Bitcoin gold and my friend told me that if someone have Bitcoins they are just giving away Bitcoin gold for free , That's the reason most of the people are selling away all the ALT coins.

Selling altcoins to get bitcoins is a good idea as you can earn bitcoin gold for free after this fork.But if you selling your alts coin then you have to sell at lower rates which is probably by taking loss as market for the altcoins has fall down quite a lot.But now the price of bitcoins are high so selling alts now might lead to loss.

I think this happened before the bitcoin gold fork, people were selling their altcoins or some of them for bitcoin.
Now with the next one coming along shortly the same is going to happen.
People will want to get their free coins and then buy their alt coins back if they want to.

Well I would suggest that he'll stay in the alts till December, I mean I know that the price of Bitcoin is at hike in that date so it'll be best if you can gather as many altcoins as you can. I mean you are farming altcoins for Bitcoin, I don't know if you ever heard of this strategy but this has been effective at my state atleast. You see the technique was, you are gathering tokens and those are probably forked to the decent priced altcoins out there then you are going to sell it, now the most significant part of this is that your earning in massive numbers not just stable number but massive. You can earn Bitcoin right away by joining some campaigns on the Bitcoin section but its not that many so you might want to set up to a more risky but has a chance to earn a lot.

i mean miners need that or they can close their installations down.

if you buy bitcoin you going to be guaranteed to be doubled in a long term but altcoins are not certain it may decrease to half or mütlipled by 5 who knows.its your decide

If you always doing trading sell your altcoin when the price is high and convert to bitcoin and buy your coins again when the price goes down you can always use bitcoin to buy back again your altcoin

Well, estimating the situation on the cryptocurrency market today (last month), it is worth selling altcoins and invest into Bitcoin.
On the other hand, it seems BTC has reached its maximum.
Anyway it is better to monitor altcoin rates and invest into the most profitable one. BTC can't go up infinite.

i just read the tread in local indonesia, and it is china remove while ban bitcoin trading. so it's best to sell altcoin and conversion to bitcoin, the possibility of bitcoin will fly again

waiting for 2x, I don't think should sell all assets to bitcoin. I just sell some of them. I still keep eth. I still use eth to invest in ICO. I hope from the small investment can make my eth grow. Expecting profit from ICO , some people don't like it but for me, it works and help me grow my eth. Instead of trading in the market, buy good ICO is more profitable for my case. I don't think you have the same experience as mine.

Yup! we should monitor on other Cryptos and not on bitcoin alone, I think there are many potential with the top 5 to 6 Altcoins out there, you just need to juggle your investment with bitcoin and Altcoins, but yes there are many user if they can get their Altcoin they will immediately convert it with bitcoin, I think there are good things that may happen trading with Altcoins and not focus alone with bitcoin.

when you have some more money, yes buying bitcoins is good time now, there were good trend in some days last, as i seen this will be going to have better value for some later still.

I read many people saying sell your alts for bitcoin, that is true if you have like 4 or 5 bitcoin in order to profit from the price going up, if you have like 0.5 bitcoin or less your profits will be minimal, why should you do that ? If you want to make money with bitcoin than having a few bitcoins is the minimum, so stick with yout alts if they are one of the good projects around, in the future they will be worth alot more, once you have taken good profits from alts it is wise to convert it to bitcoin because only then you can make decent profits.

It's better to buy back those alts after the hard fork when you have enough profit from the hard fork. I would go for buying bitcoin before the events and not for the alts.

If you are just going to do it right now, I am afraid you are a bit too late. Bitcoin has already broke the $7,000 resistance and went a little past that. That has put most of the altcoins down. Right now, the best thing to do is not to sell but buy altcoins. The altcoins right now are so cheap that you can easily buy them with an insured profit in the next month. Bitcoin is already very high. I think it will be going stable for a short while before dipping a little.

I guess that will work if gou are aiming to just invest or hold bitcoin. But if the tcoin you are holding have so much potential and can possibly give you some profit, better hold on to it and let the profit grow. At the same Time, wait until btc value goes down and when it doee, that is the best time to buy some btc. But better make sure that the profit you are gaining from bitcoin is way higher than what you will get with the altcoin.

That's the nature of HODLing sir because you gotta hold on your precious coins no matter how deep its market value goes down. You don't mind the risk of selling it at a lower price if its market value continuous to plummet. Or sell it at a better price once its market value skyrocketed unexpectedly in the following days, otherwise. If you have a feeling that that coin has a potential to rise soon, then it's time to buy it at a lower price.

the best strategy to when buying altcoins to get profit, is to buy a lot of altcoins as possible when
price go down so hard, because as we know once the price go down, it will eventually go up in the next day or two
but make sure you buy known coin, not the new coin or hype coin
then once the price go up, sell the coin, then repeat the strategy
