crypto market will rise in the next years. But i don`t think that it will ever be so huge as the stock market.

The crypto market will never reach the stock market. It shouldn't even come close. The stock market reflects the value of all future cashflows from all businesses. This basically means that the value of the stock market is the value of every company in the economy. Right now the only thing driving the price of crypto is the hope of future cashflows, or that the price will increase because of more demand. Many cryptocurrencies do not generate any cashflow at all, and never will. So how can they become more valuable than all the companies that actually produce services and goods?

Yes I think that estimate is accurate and could possibly even reach 1 trillion a few months prior to 2019. As per the stock market and being bigger than that well I think it is possible but that we wont see for another 10 years

at least. That is given blockchain tech is everything people say it is otherwise the only coin left standing in cryptos will be bitcoin and I doubt that will be worth 70+ trillion itself.

Maybe in the future crypto and stock markets will be merged somehow?
I mean that blockchain technology is the future. :)

It is too early to compare the stock market valuation along with crypto currency market because we are in a new platform and it will take a long time to reach the trillion dollar valuation, always remember that the crypto currency market is just less than ten years old while the stock market is there for centuries, but one thing is sure that the market will reach higher valuation far less time than what stock market took. ;D

Stocks has been there since forever, cryptos have been there for 9 years, and what they have achieved with most of them being decentralized is way more than a achievement or a record. It will take like what 1-2 decades for cryptocurrency markets to function with trillions of money involved, imagine the price of bitcoin then.

The cryptoindustry is still at the early stages and it will take years for it's market capitalization to be as high as that of stocks market. I think coins market capitalization may be above 1trillion before 2019 and by 2030 we may overtake stocks and security market. We have to be truth to ourself cryptocurrencies market has out perform every others market this year 2017 and if we can retain this momentum then many big investors will take cryptocurrencies market seriously and invest in it.

First of all I think that comparing stocks is a bit incorrect. Most of the profit gained by the cryptocurrencies is a pure speculation (which usaly is a common luck) while you need to have huge experience to become a good stock investor. Most of the altcoins could be compared only to the penny stocks.

Stock market's money will never stop increasing because a lot of people are investing in there, and cryptocurrencies are just for big speculators who wants to increase their money quickly, if you look for statistics, there are no millionaires or even billionaires investing in cryptos, all of them are just investing their money on stocks, and in companies, that is probably the real reason of why the stock market is much more bigger than cryptos.

With the US federal government being $20 trillion in debt, there's a question of what happens to companies like apple who hold $250 billion in dollar reserves if the state defaults on its deficit and the value of the dollar comes tumbling down.

The US stock market is tied to the value of the dollar. If the state defaults on debt and the value of the dollar plummets it could drag the US stock market down with it. The dollar losing 50% of its value could translate to the US stock market losing 50% of its own respective value.

There is a possible scenario where the US government defaults on debt. The dollar crashes, taking the stock market down with it. Everyone pulls their money out of the stock market/fiat and decides to invest in crypto instead. To a degree crypto isn't a trust based model unlike the fractional debt reserve system in place in most major nations. And so if catastrophic events occur which expose flaws in trust based systems, there could be an exodus and a major outcry for crypto based systems like bitcoin which are not trust based and do not share that flaw.

Perhaps its not difficult to imagine a scenario where crypto eventually wins out against alt systems.

Those people who are very powerful persons or those big companies will never invest in bitcoin because they all know that sooner or later all the cryptocurrencies will fall, and this is why they dont assume the risk.
they have better sources to make more money and one of them is just investing in the stock market and manipulate them just to make bigger amounts of money, and this is nothing new, a lot of companies are manipulating their prices or their competitor's prices in order to earn more money.
And this is why the stock market will always be bigger than crypto's.

well in my part id rather had to choose the cryptocurrency market because it is less risk and it is more profitable and simply amazing .and you dont have to pay taxes while in the other market you have to pay taxes and you have to pay for the permit to display etc.many people would really choose crytocurrency market because it has really a big profit and a great opportunity.

It is obvious to have that much worth market cap for the stocks because they started way way early as compared to the bitcoin.

Bitcoin is whole new currency, well all the crypto itself is very noob in the current world and still it is holding the best market cap we can ever see in such short period of time. Well from this data we can imagine how fast it will capture the more market and it will grow to trillion dollar business too unless and until it doesn't get governed by the regulators worldwide!

People all around the world have trust on Stock market. Due to set regulation and control of the govt. over the stock market, this give investors confident to invest in shares. A listed company on stock exchange can't be a scam because of govt control on it whereas it is seen that most of the ICO's are scam. Also crypto, being decentralized there is no rules and regulation on it so there can be a lot of price fluctuation within a few hours without being any seller or buyer freeze.

No one knows on what will be the total market cap of cryptocurrencies on 2019, you are 2 years ahead why not think of 2018 first? I don't want to compare stocks market to crypto market, it's totally different. Government is fully supporting the stock market and allowing companies to sell their stocks while in crypto's we don't know if these coins that does real and legit companies and is volatile to the market. But if you want some more profit, movement with crypto's are even faster than stock market.

I think in the future they might be merged together. If you'll look at cryptocurrencies, only a little portion of them are currencies like Bitcoin or Monero. Many other are more like securities, people buy them because they expect to make profit from owning them, so a lot of ICO tokens are digital stocks. In the future it might become an industry standard to issue stocks on blockchain. As for true cryptocurrency it's better to compare it with precious metals or fiat currencies rather than stocks, because they are so different.

Governments support the stock market because they are investments in the real sector of the economy. This means additional jobs and tax revenue. Cryptocurrency extort money from the economy and do not bring any income to the Treasury. The cryptocurrency market is a serious competitor to the stock market and I think that the government will be on the side of the stock market. Bitcoin is gradually becoming a target for everyone who is already part of the Fiat economy.

A friend of mine invested in the stocks exchange early this year since he was thinking about his retirement ahead of time. But he is now focused in cryptocurrencies because of the faster returns. As for the market cap, the stock market has been around for so long that it has established its grounds. Cryptocurrencies has only been around for about 8 years now but the growth is very rapid. Just don't know if it can overtake the stock exchange. But almost anything is possible right?

As you mentioned cryptocurrency market maybe reach 1 trillion but it mainly depends on market outlook, people and goverments.
Comparing cryptocurrency to stock market we can definitely say that crypto is much more easy, user firendly. What is more as you probably saw on crypto market you have mainly green colour and if the color is positive you can earn much more than in poland.

cryptocurrency market against the stock market, i think it would not be a stale mate, and cryptocurrency market would win, however, bitcoin will remain to be the dominant cryptocurrency and as for the stock market, it depends on the companies which is going to be the high gainer and to be valued high. if we compare the two, both cryptourrency and stock market, have the same principles in investing, however there are differences, like if you invest in the stock market, you are only limited to the companies that are listed and they also have a time limit, wherein you can you buy your shares, since there is opening and closing of the market and they are the ones, that declare what will be the price of the share you will buy, it will also depend on the companies if they can the company you invested on, will gain profit or not, somehow you have no control since you need to always check on your portal and choose the time when you want to buy, the same is also true with cryptocurrency, however, the market is 24 hours and you can be sure that on the time you invest, if you plan correctly you can gain more profit in the future. for me, as an investor i would choose both since they are still giving me profits, but to achieve your goals fast, i suggest go to the cryptocurrency market.

Crypto doesn't bring to any income to the treasury because it's still new and there's law about taxing bitcoin and other coins. And if time will come that bitcoin will be legal and other crypto's too then expect that it will bring a lot of money to the treasury. I don't think that crypto market is a threat or competitor to the stock market, they are both sector and it's really far from each other if we will compare them.

It is not impossible for cryptocurrencies to reach that 1 trillion dollars market capitalization soon because many people now are getting attracted to the market of cryptocurrencies and with that it will still grow through out the years and I also think that Bitcoin's own market capitalization will also get $1 trillion dollars soon and its value per coin will be $60,000+ and that is almost times 10 to the current value of Bitcoin now.

Foreign stocks of Fiat moneys are operating for so how many years now and comparing it to cryptocurrencies that only operates with less than 10 years so I think it is still a child when comparing those 2 markets, but again cryptocurrencies has lost of potential in the future.

The current growth rate needs 10 years for crypto market to reach stock market cap. Now all comparisons are too early, cryptocurrency market is showing significant influence in the future.

There is a possibilities that crypto market can overtake the stock market seeing how bitcoin grows through the years and all other alts also appreciate in value there are also ICO's or token which are created and introduce in the market. As the demand in bitcoin increases surely developers will be focusing on having enough supply of cryptos to sustain the market. I'll be not surprise if crypto's will become the worlds legal tender.

What I personally think is cryptocurrency is very similar to stock market but actually a lot easier to handle and you need less documentation.
To buy stocks and sell them you need to sign 100 of documents online then at ast to be able to sell them you need to sign in person your power of attorney and then send it by courier to the particular address.
Its quite hectic , but with cryptocurrency market you just jeed to verify 3 documents at once in your offline wallet and then you are good to go.. they won't ask for other documents ever again and also if you don't have documents you can do personal trading its like you do have d liberty to do what what you want in whichever way you want.
Its actually a big benifit of bitcoins being decentralized , its like you soley own it , you can use them as you Please and there isn't anyone to make rules about it.. am not against making of rules its just that sometimes rules are a hindrance even if you are doing something legal only.
I will any day prefer bitcoins over stock market .. they both sre same but with cryptocurrency world we have liberty, freedom and transparency. :D

For me, because new competitors can enter so easily in the cryptocurrency market, old currencies die much faster than old businesses die in the stock market. So crypto will be same as stock market in terms of investment and trading.

For me it will be always be cryptocurrency market because it is like so many choices in some markets not like in the stock markets you will need to have a broker what they called and some of the people there are not fully trusted.

I personally prefer cryptocurrency and it's still in the early stage. The growth of stock market is not going to be able to compare with cryto and the same time people can lost everything they have in crytos in a matter a days. It's a very risky market.

I think that crypto marketcap will not reach stock marketcap.Stock market has been well established before years and it has a strong network all over the world legalized by almost all governments. But crypto market is in its primitive stage and has just crossed eight years. It has not even been legalized by any of the governments except japan.

So it does not make even sense to compare both.

The way to answer this question is to look at other currencies (since cryptos are essentially a form of currency). A medium-large currency is the British Pound.  It's not a monster like the Yen, Euro, Yuan, or Dollar. But it's not small either.

The current money supply of the British Pound is roughly $2 trillion. Given that, could cryptos reach $1 trillion market cap? Almost certainly. But can it overtake stocks? That's like asking if the British Pound can "overtake stocks". Any trader will tell you that is comparing apples to oranges. Instead, what would happen is that cryptos would become an accepted store of value and transaction media for buying stocks.
