Hey guys,
I saw BTC's price goes UP to the moon these days and I'm think about what causes it so.
My guess is that CME group announced it intends to launch bitcoin futures in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Everyone is seeing that BTC is a solid thing. What do you guys think about it?

The announcement of the CME Group undoubtedly plays a role, albeit a small one. Due to the enormous bullrun we've seen in the last month, BTC is mentioned more and more in the media and an unprecedented number of people are diving (agressively) into crypto with the goal of making quick profits. This makes the value of BTC going completely bananas with subsequently even more coverage in the media. There's probably some sort of virtuous circle going on untill a massive correction occurs.

Why is BTC rising in price, you ask?  Because the world is slowly but surly catching on to its brilliant technology.

There are a few reasons why BTC price is rising and definitely the CME news play a part. The other significant reason is because of the upcoming fork.

We have seen two forks in the previous days. 1 august fork made a huge increase in bitcoin and also BTG made a huge increase in bitcoin as well. This is showing that upcoming fork will make the price even higher possibly.

Probably contributing in a significant way, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a fair amount of hype for this and everyone is getting their money in now so they can try and ride the corporate wave as more and more money gets invested into Bitcoin through various funds and corporations trying to make whatever amount of money they want to off of it.

More companies are seeing Bitcoin as good, and that's a good thing I guess. It could be a lot worse, and there could be a lot of people who would just want to crash it so their fiat doesn't get affected. Big steps.

because btc is very famous in people everyone want and buy BTC it is just not the end of btc it is just begining.

there a lot of factor actually include the fork , some massive adoption that all of them leading to a big demand on bitcoin where nowadays to earn bitcoin itself are so hard. a lot of people also getting more curious to know more about bitcoin and decide to buy bitcoin for the sake of to give a shot. pretty clear enough isn't it?

It is mainly because of more awareness and more popularity of bitcoin,plus the upcoming bitcoin fork.

I think this awareness will continue to grow day in day out and there by making price to rice the more .

Definitely, the promotion and marketing for bitcoin never sleep, besides the current surge in price enable lots of  investors who bought during the dip to have doubled their stash.  This will give a good sample to those who are wanting to invest and get a huge profit along the way.  Aside from that,  it seems the fork had given bitcoin an attracting status this time around .  More profit to the holder.

BTC future will bring so much money in to crypto

Well upcoming hardfork Segwit2x will have a deep impact on bitcoins and mostly the price will increase after the fork so people are trying to earn profits by buying now.And the fork bitcoin gold had given enough attraction which might have led to mass investment by new users and investors causing this hike in price.

I dont agree that it plays small role. This announcement is BIG. This is first serious instrument for institutional players. Based on that new ETFs can be created and the big QE money can be channeled into Bitcoin through "official" channels. I very much believe this is the best news for Bitcoin this year

If could be that the mentioned articles have something to do with the increase of price of bitcoin, although that news came about like 2 days ago already. I think the real reason is the upcoming segwit2x implementation. All investors are very bullish about this activity that's why they continued to buy bitcoin as a very steep price because the price could go higher after the segwit2x. Remember that our market is based on speculation, so the more positive news we have the higher the prices is going to be.

Just to continue to hodl and don't let your coins right now because the price is going to the moon. We should all maximized our profits. The future really look bright for bitcoin market.

The rise is due to the recent consecutive BTC fork, many are withdrawing BTC from exchanges to the wallet which in turn shooting high the price of Bitcoin. The rise is certainly also affecting the ALTS causing them to dip in value.

I believe the news you talked about is one reason.  Another is all the other news surrounding BTC right now, including china maybe allowing Crypto again.  The upcoming fork is definitely a player as well.  Should be an interesting month.

It's just simple economics the more people who buys bitcoin the higher the demand gets of a currency the higher the price. CME group is not the only news coming ahead but also ive heard exchanges in china will reopen so expect the will be bullisbh again. It is now become a solid and stable currency and investment asset.

Bitcoin is acting so weird now, it doesnt follow its usual price chart pattern.  It should go down by now by the way.  I guess it is because many people are still holding bitcoin in hope of getting a BTG coin. After the fork it should go down.

It only means that there is very significant price pressure that is pushing it up. I could bet that this is institutional money that is coming in. As you said - in traditional speculative world (as bitcoin was few years ago) the big correction already should have happened.

Maybe it's trending upwards due to the fork this month, seems a little early for that though.

It's not too early. In financial markets all the events are getting priced in a long time before the actual event

At this point, almost linear bull season with no correction is pure completely FOMO.

The price goes up because of huge demand on it and people are buying it

My guess would be getting the same holdings from the upcoming fork

CME Groups announcement maybe the start of something big, this group may open the eyes of other companies to take a closer of at bitcoins and look at the potential. While for now groups announcement may not be felt yet but if you are looking beyond 2 to 3 years from now I can feel that more companies and individuals will start to believe in Bitcoins as a crytocurrency and not as a tool to scam people.

The reason of the rising of bitcoin is of course the fork for now. People have big expectations from the fork and the new prices. The curiosity to the bitcoin is increasing day by day. Although many people are complaining about the fluctuations of the cryptocurrencies, there are a lot of investors who are waiting for to make big profits by using that fluctuate structure.

Maybe, but that rocket hasn't even dropped it's first stage boosters.

I think a good bit of it is when certain countries open many cryptocurrency ATMs

BTC is increasing in price because more people and countries are beginning to understand and appreciate its usage and thus adopting it for transactions and investment and remember the saying "the higher the demand, the higher the price".

Bitcoin price increases because of the law of supply and demand. We all know there is a limited supply of bitcoin in the circulation and as of now I would like to believe that due to increasing popularity of bitcoin globally the demand also increases which leads to lack of enough supply of bitcoin and for it to sustain the market demand the price of bitcoin must be adjusted higher and I think there's no way for bitcoin to goes up now and in the future.

current trigger is "fork" but when money are flowing in noone really ceares why it is rissing.
After that rise correction will come to us.

the level of Awarness about Bitcoin and other  cryptocurrency is on the increase  daily even in developing  country, Alot of people are getting  involve in the rave of the moment, speculations about Bitcoin some month past, and the  increase in the  acceptance from diferent country  are the reason behind the  pump,everyone is still amze at the  increase.This is the Gold of this age.

The more new investors join, the higher the bitcoin price goes. It some what follows the basic economic principles, not fully though. More new users joining means, more new investors. More new investors causes the price to pump due to demand. Also forks have influence on the price of bitcoin. People stock up bitcoins to get the new coin due to fork, and once they get it they sell it along with their bitcoin causing the price to  fall.

For me why btc is increasing or rising it is because bitcoin’s growth in popularity is the lack of external regulation and control from big banks. And also Bitcoin, with its decentralised exchange, means that all transfers and transactions are peer to peer.

Segwit2x fork coming too, big things happening with bitcoin.

The legalization of bitcoin of a country or a state and a big company have a very huge role why bitcoin price rise to the moon.

Bitcoin definitely rising because of the people that believes the ability of bitcoin and put their investment with it, a lot of investor are engaged with btc because they find it more valuable at this time.

maybe the demand of bitcoin world wide are so high/needed for some activity or for the other usage of bitcoin for some other reasons, bitcoin are totally limited by this time and the demand is so high, that's the cause of bitcoin price hike, or you may include the upcoming fork, fork is one on the reasons why bitcoin pump so high at certain time.

It's one of the factors but now I think the reason of increasing value of bitcoin is because of the incoming forks. Bitcoin is widely known now and a lot are being interested having a bitcoin.

Since the news about hardfork and segwit2x that will happen in November, people scramble to buy bitcoin to get new coins from bitcoin forks so that's obviously making bitcoin prices up.
This is the opposite of previous hardfork events, people panic to sell their bitcoin when the issue comes. But now people have learned from past experiences, and they will keep their BTC until hardfork is done. I think that's what makes bitcoin rare and the price will be rise until the end of this November.

Bitcoin fork is the cause for bitcoin price rising. One more reason is its a trading capital of all altcoins.Everyone conscious about trade. They are using more bitcoin, and bitcoin value going to high.

2. CME's announcement on bitcoin futures, this is huge deal from a reputation/recognition perspective.
3. More hedge funds joining the play field which means more demand

It is true that higher market demand makes bitcoin prices increasing. Increase in bitcoin price is needed because it can make this coin stronger.
So how far bitcoin will develop? It all depends on market demand.

I agree with you that's is the reason why the bitcoin is totally iincreasing rapidly and i think it's because of lot of altcoins and the 3rd is many people especially to all rich people investing in bitcoin so that's why bitcoin have a bright in the future.

People are being used to free money on forks. And another fork this month is coming up reason why bitcoin once again surge at unexpected highs. We will see some corrections soon but I am confused which level will bitcoin reach. Perhaps $7,500 is doable before fork?

But the real reason for it to rise quickly is that double hard fork plays side by side so that as the demand for hold of the trader soars, I think that's the main reason for the bitcoin to high.

Ive seen people argue bitcoin is finding its price level; why the hell now? It took 9 years to decide to increase by multiple magnitudes of value. I could see if this had been a perfect path the whole way up. no gox, none of these forks, none of all the bullshit that has perenially plagued us. but specifically because of this, why then is the price skyrocketing upward with no fundamental positive changes in bitcoin?

you show me a way to value a bitcoin. im willing to accept something kooky at this point. but when you do, apply your model to the current price. it wont fit, and thats for a reason. its not based off of your model, its based off of alot of assumptions and aspirations (like what we saw with the DOW when Trump took office.)

Yes this can be a reason and alongside this the upcoming segwit2x fork may also be a reason for this sudden increase in price people want maximum potential from their btc and b2x is trading quite good these days. Cumulative of these factors has given rise to btc.
