Hello someone hacked my account on Your forum. My original nick is AirFlame i am from Poland i am from 2013 on this forum but did not log in for a while. Someone got access to the account and changed the email and password can any admin contact me to get my account back ? Person changed the signature and posting as me on forums. Please You can check what was my previous email and send me confirmation there if You need proof...

Provide proof to Hilariousandco and he can ban the account to prevent the hacker from scamming etc. Also, send a personal message to Cyrus following this threads instructions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

You can also post the address and signature here if you want to get it verified by the public, and a staff member be able to see it and temp ban the account. But, do send the message to cyrus regardless if you do this.

The account got the password changed in October 14, 2017, 08:24:53 PM. I was only able to find this post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=471294.msg5201989#msg5201989) where you posted an address so If you could sign a message using that address, you can recover your account by sending a P.M to theymos/cyrus as instructed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

its just been 4 days, give them some time. You won't be getting your account anytime soon as they have a backlog to clear before they reach your request. On Average it will takes around 1-3 months to recover, for me it took at least 35 days if i remember correctly. All you can do is Be Patient.

Someone can tell me what is wrong ? I am trying to recover account for 3 moths+ now. I have a signed message using bitcoin address and no one rersponding to me via PM. Is there any admin that can make this explained and can end my problem ? I dont understand why no one even replayed to my pm saing no, yes, never or anything even replay with only "dot" in msg will be nice...

Since recovery account not in theymos / Cyrus prioritize you just need patient, you only get reply from admin only when your account got restored.

I've sent multiple messages to both cyrus and theymos about your account and numerous others but if they don't respond or look into it then there's nothing you or anyone can do about it.

This is stupid situation. In fact the forum bitcointalk.org is responsible for exposing my mail adress and password from database because the forum was hacked back days. Now wehn i want to get back my account no one seems to give a Fk. This shows how owner of the forum is responsible for people losses. Because i was not the only one that was hacked and my password was exposed to the world. My passes are used seperated to each forum, mail, accounts etc. so i am protected but i think others was not so lucky... So i think a response from the admin would be advisable in this situation... I will mention that the account which has been hacked is used against my will which violates my rights.

The forum can't really be blamed for the hack as that was something outside of the admin's control and was the fault of the hosting provider if anyone was to blame, and the passwords that were leaked were encrypted fairly well but many were eventually broken. Emails were sent out that all users should chnage them and those that did were fine. I agree that the rate accounts are getting restored is unacceptable and more man power should be put onto restoring accounts but that's something only theymos can initiate.

Dont know whos fault was it hosting provider or not patched exploits on SMF forums i dont care. I care to get back my account. I think 4months for getting any response is a little bit a very long time dont You think ? What is a problem to export database and write a little script that will check a user table and user posts and profile info for btc addresses used in forums. Then the script would be able to use those addresses to check the verification message.

Yes, I've already said it's unacceptable but there's nothing I can do about it. I've already messaged them both twice about your case but I'm not going to keep spamming them with it because they'll only get annoyed at me. There's nothing else I can really tell you other than to keep bumping the thread but it's probably not going to do much.

Yea i know this forum is guided by irresponsible admin that cant recover people accounts he cant even block a account that have been hacked and it can post shit not related to the person that had this account before.

To all people on forum use shitty 10 minute mail accounts and some shitty passwords because one way or another some day someone hack the forum again and the mails and passwords will leak again.
