They do not have any denomination, say They say "Strenght in Numbers" on the obverse and have plain reverse.

I ordered two bags (~1000 coins) at 3.7BTC including FedEx shipping to the UK. I'm not sure what the lead time is - I would expect about a couple of weeks. I will post an update when I know more.

Specifications:

The coins are 1.25" (31.75mm) in diameter, quite thin at 0.06" (1.5mm) and very light.

They are quite shiny with a good mirror finish on the obverse. Not all are perfect (some have slight scratches and imperfections around the edges) however as promotional tokens they are great, especially at the price!

I think they are the same size as the brass coins, so technically you could use the standard hologram. I will try to obtain a few holograms.
However, I'm not sure it's worth it for the small denominations these are aimed at - I'm planning to put private key in QR code on the reverse as pictured in OP.

Cheers. I found a supply of round 29mm diameter white sticky labels on A4 sheets (54 per sheet) for a reasonable price so I'll be ordering those to send out with the coins. It will be possible to print QR codes with private keys on them fairly easily. I will try to develop a simple program to generate a PDF with QR codes and output a list of addresses.

Thanks for pointing that thread out - that's great :) Somebody will probably do a much better job than I would be able to ;) On the other hand it's a pity I won't have to do bitcoin related coding... I was kind of looking forward to it.

On a related note, I found silver round sticky labels - I only found 25mm diameter (1") ones but I think they would look better than white ones:

They look good. They don't say they're compatible with inkjet printers but I'm sure they'll work alright with them.

Well, I wouldn't really want to print with ink on the labels... Laser will probably be much more durable.

My impressions... well firstly, the service was excellent. now on to the coins, they are nice with a shiny front side and a dull back, they are very light (aluminium) but sturdy. They are not perfect, they do have blemishes/scratches on the front (some with lines all the way across), the side of the coins have dull patches, presumably from the cutting process.

This may sound overly critical, I am only trying to give a clear description - they are not mint collectable items.

These are great for the price and I would not have expected more. They look like they are begging for a private key/holo to be put on the reverse side. personally, they are just a shiny ornament for my desk - to give to friends/family who take an interest.

I think, someone made a fork of bitaddress.org to generate these, then you could print it on sticker paper (you can buy this at whatever store sells paper 'n stuff), and cut them, then put them on the coins, and of course fund them. I think that's how you do it.

Thanks for the correction :) Bronze and brass have always sort of blended for me, I can never remember which one is Cu+Sn and which one Cu+Zn :)

Anyway, I wish somebody offered pure copper coins, they could look nice too.

Awesome! My lot just arrived, some had scratches but they're all good. I even got 11, not sure if this was intended or a mistake =P.

Glad you got them. The scratches could have been there from the start I'm afraid... That extra coin was intentional, I started sending an extra coin or two (depending on the order quantity) just in case some get scratched more significantly :)

I would say the majority of the scratches are down to the fact that these are produced in large number cheaply. The scratches (atleast the ones mine have) were expected for the price/volume, and they do not detract from the purposes that these coins can serve (apart from being put on display - but I dont really see the point in that myself).

I know - I didn't blame piit for it, I understand he can do nothing about it, and they arrived to him this way.

Finally I have enough time to look at my lovely new coins. Received exactly 200. Some are scratched but this is understandable since they are aluminium and they've been in the post twice now. Yes, I tried that - very nice indeed. It was created by the forum member Bitcoin Grid - he's also participating in the silver Casascius coins group buy :) It's all created in JavaScript so no private keys / addresses leave your computer.

But i will only use it for the generating of the adresses + QR-code and easy text placement, as I will try to do the following:

top: denomination (f.e. 100 mBTC)
center: private QR-code
bottom: public adress, firstbits

=> I print 1 coin per page...

It's a JavaScript-based PDF sheet sticker printer. I'm not sure you need to hide the private key as these low-grade coins are usually loaded with very low amount (0.01BTC).

I know there was a guy who ordered a bag or two of these too and he created very nice looking tamper proof holograms :)

I ordered some 29mm diameter round white labels, I wouldn't mind sending you 2-3 sheets with the coins.

I could also use a sheet. If you want, I'll pay for it ;)

No problem. I've sent your coins today and sent 2 sheets of 29mm round labels in a separate envelope. There are 54 labels on a sheet so that should be just enough for all your coins. Just make sure to properly test on blank sheets first! ;)

That's no problem. I ordered too many sheets anyway :) There are 54 labels on a sheet but it would make it difficult for you to print if I cut the A4 sheet in half :)

When I select generate addresses it counts down and then I get a failed to open page saying osx doesn't recognise addresses beginning with blob and the address in the address bar is something like blob.bitaddress.cometcetcetc
