Title: Why China supports North Korea?
Post by: MSdosOutput on November 03, 2017, 09:24:28 AM
North Korea has already made them nuclear weapons power country. Not only that but also at present they have tested hydrogen boom also. Most of the countries in the world are against North Korea except China. Why?

It's a no brainer, China wants to keep it as a buffer state. That is also the reason why it's clamping down in Xinjiang and the rest of Turkestan. That's the reason it invaded Tibet. Buffers.

China would loathe to see the Korean peninsula reunited in control of the South (arguably the more well-off of the two).

I think that there is an agreement between these countries. Maybe they want to unite against a common big enemy. We can not now guess everything that happens behind the scenes

Migrants. North Korea collapsing is a nightmare scenario for China. Especially if it includes America nuking the peninsula.

Most of the countries in the world are against North Korea except China. Why?
WHY? Lets say China and North Korea is a business partner that China gain more benefits on it.But China is still opposing in the North Korea Nuclear program.

True, the nukes are making China uneasy but they have no option but to prop up the regime else see North Korea fall. It's pretty obvious Kim knows this.

And yes, China gets a lot of raw materials from North Korea to the point that you can say they are exploiting the country. And since North Korea have few countries to trade with, China also makes a lot selling them stuff.

China supports North Korea in a bid to maintain its dominance and leadership position in Asia and the Korean Peninsula in particular. China has not taken any drastic measure on North Korea because on one hand it want to check the influence of the United states in the region and to also use the North as a bargaining chip against the US and it's allies. Besides, they are neighbours.

Because North Korea is a communist country like China. Also, North Korean's are economically and culturally well connected with China.

It seems to me that the Chinese did not support North Korea. They just don't want their border war. South Korea also does not support the idea of the US war against North Korea. America is a very powerful state and their power enough to destroy all of North Korea, but where to run the refugees and where will the radioactive contamination in this case?

Lets see China is communist and North Korea is communist. They support each other, hmm no surprises there? ??? I mean if any country was gonna support them it would be China, I am not surprised at all by this.

I have never heard that North Korea has attacked another country, so they are not really a risk for China. But if the US attacks North Korea and will win, then they will install military bases in North Korea and this would be of course a worst case scenario for China to have the US army in front of his door!

I dont think China supports North Korea , also China do not want North Korea  will be more powerful and they are closer countries , If North Korea will be stronger they can find stronger guns and they can use it for China too , because of ,it will be bad for China  and everybody knows North Korea government is not normal.

Communist brothers :D although it seems like it the real reason is the buffer, just like others have pointed out.

They want the balance of power to remain as it is. If NK loses and becomes invaded its territory will be claimed by SK. I'm sure Japan and the USA will add to the mix and claim some profits after defeating Kim. China doesn't want that and it also doesn't want to fight a war on the side of NK. It's best for them for NK to remain a hive of vasps that nobody wants to touch.

politic strategy to make both of them more stronger. China is known for its strong in technology and industry. while northern korea is strong in defense and weapons of war. so this is very profitable for both sides to show the world how powerful they are.

In my opinion, it’s quite simple. Money. It’s all about money. China will support anyone who can bring/give them money. China can profit off of NK, so they show some signs of “supporting NK.”

China don't want North Korea to become an American colony, like South Korea and Japan. If North Korea becomes an American colony, then the US troops will be stationed along the mainland China border, and this is something that the Chinese want to avoid at all cost. Xi Jinping is not a big fan of Kim Jong Un, but he is going to tolerate him for a few more years.

Common enemy as in America?  ;D Anyway, the world probably wouldn't care about NoKor anyway if it were not the risk of destabilization because of the nukes. This is more a result of the Chinese being paranoid as usual. Wanna keep themselves surrounded by annexed or puppet polities.

China supports North Korea as the hermit kingdom acts as a buffer zone. Also, if North Korea falls, the majority of North Koreans will flee to China due to mistrust of the South. China doesn't want all these refugees in their country.

Because they are all the same social system, strategically, north Korea is on the border with China, and for China, if the north is threatened, then China will have a "cold war". And the Chinese don't support north Korea's nuclear weapons, and they're looking for economic growth, not war!

maybe china wants north korea to be their alliance and maybe they also preparing a war if USA prevented them on seizing other country as it does in the philippines.

Well, many Koreans would disagree but historically speaking many Chinese view that the entire Korean peninsula was essentially part of imperial China.   So it's like the feeling you may have for the sidewalk directly in front of your house even though you don't technically own it.   You may have your housekeeper sweep it and keep it clean.

This is exactly what the Russians feel about Ukraine. And look how it turned out for them in the end. I just hope that the same won't be repeated in the case of Korea. Already South Korea has sided with the United States, allowing the latter to set up military bases on its soil. The Chinese have reasons to get aggrieved.

Basically North Korea and China is in a one relationship and that is a friendly relationship and more than friend. China is communist country as far as I know. North Korea is also a communist country. China basically support North Korea as one of his stronghold to support and defend the small country as China is a giant country. Not giant country alone but also a giant population in the world. No other countrys that able to support North Korea except China. The ties between the two country is stronger than any other China's partner country.

First of all they have good trading relations and secondly China builds a block of friendly countries to hold competition with it's major competitor in the region - India. That's why China supports Pakistan as well

Well they've been allies for a while now and both practice communism so these two countries share certain similarities that in a way bond them together. Its not easy to discard national alliances though if nokor really goes overboard with their nuke tests, i think china will intervene

China is firmly committed to maintaining peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and what the military is doing provocatively... besides that north korea dan cina still embrace communism

Well i think because they have the same kind of political aspect. Colonialism, but china is much better than North Korea, cuz North Korea shut their door to other countries.

China supports North Korea for its own reasons. Because China borders the North. The dynasty uses nuclear weapons. China sells military weapons to North Korea. It is also a place for China to test military weapons such as missiles, fighter jets ... If it supports North Korea, then China is in full swing.

These are two big and powerful countries who believe that one must keep together. And it's very logical.

China supported the Korean government because it benefited economically and politically. China sold military weapons to Korea such as guns, tanks, fighters ... to obtain high economic profit. The other is the military shield for China. This is where China tests military weapons such as missiles. , combat aircrafts...

The common reason is the history of their ideology, that was communism.
the other reasons are that they need each other as alliances to face western alliances. that's political thought, an enemy of enemy is a friend. they use every option to defend their own interests.

Following a joint US military exercise with South Korea, which involved large numbers of fighter jets and was considered a provocation by North Korea, China also conducted war games in unusual locations. Is this a sign that China will support North Korea?

I am not sure whether China will support North Korea or not. But one thing is sure. China is not going to gain anything, if the Americans invade the DPRK and establish military bases there after defeating the communist government.
