This is my first post in 'Speculation' thread.

I have 1000$ in my bank and I would love to invest that into crypto.

What is the best strategy as per you to convert this 1000$ into 5000$ by the end of the year?

everything is possible, if you can choose the best altcoin after segwit2x happend,
i use some technical indicator for my day trade and use fundamentally for long term hold,,
so, until the end of this years just look at the roadmap from any coins,,
if they have a good plan until the ends of this years just invest in that coins

best strategy i see so far by now is to put that hard cash all in bitcoin, its not yet too late to invest in bitcoins and you can still regain your invested capital in a matter of short time. as i see bitcoin can pump up to 10,000 dollars until this year just before the upcoming fork this december. though altcoins were also good to buy these days because thier were still cheap and probably will jump next weeks.

MODUM could be the answer in mid-term.

With this playstyle, i would suggest you to play with the Fundamental Strategy in order to convert $1000 to $5000

Buy before the actual news happen, when coins pump on the date of news. Sell and repeat

the term INVESTING and an expectation of 5x profits in that timeframe do not go together. what you are talking about is speculation at best. more like gambling. you can day trade with that $1000 but if you're on here asking for advice like this, you would probably end up with 0 at the end of the year

Take a look at sumokoin. 1000$ gets you about 3000 Sumokoin. The dev team is up to merge subaddresses within this month and will realse a mutlisig-wallet in q1 2018.

Buy them now and hold them at least 1 year and you'll have way more than the 5000 you hope for.

Whoever says you can't multiply your money by 5 in a year has not been in crypto long enough or is a useless trader. You can buy alts now and sell in December for BTC before the fork.

We have less than 2 months to go this year so I think you are not been realistics, the main think in investment is first to be real to yourself and you will see things clearly but most people are just emotion with their trading decision which to me is very bad

and don't be greedy or you will loose.

That will be difficult to predict about the reliable coin to invest your money because you are expecting to gain $5000 at the end of this year. But i just think you can try to put your money on the dip altcoin. Just like my friend was buying xvc and they are getting up to 200% profit just in some hours. But this is not applying in another crypto caused by every crypto has their own track.

nobody says it can't happen with the right coin/coins. but to EXPECT it to happen is ridiculous. the only thing you can EXPECT is that a bunch of different users will post a bunch of different coins, and maybe one of those will see those types of gains out of 100

You should pick some oversold coins in the next weeks, maybe before the fork will happen.

You know i won't tell you specific coin cause I dont know if it will be five thousands but the best way is to invest in "new" coin cause it has the biggest chance to pump up.

each month we have fork. It become boring. Altcoin prices are affected too much.

Wise words to follow. I wouldn't invest into any Altcoins until after the segwit2x happens (expected around the 18th of this month from what I heard)

With that said you could easily take $1,000 invested into Altcoins and Quality ICOs and make $5k or maybe more within a years time. This is what a lot of people are looking to do and you should too.

I very expect that COSS will be breakout on its price with fundamental the same as BNB and the capital is now still humble.

And most importantly, nobody can predict tops or bottoms.  NOBODY!  So don't try.

agree with you new coin always got good potentials to grow much faster than the older ones, if you are willing to read more about certain project better to
find the project that have a real uses so it will possibly supported by most investors and traders though it will take time to find those quality new coins but
worth especially that you are aiming to gain that certain amount within 2 months of time.

I think this attitude might be wrong, you can't really time it to a specific date. You never know when a pump is going to happen and that an be sooner or later.

I'm not sure if you will manage to do this exactly by the end of the year, but choosing Lisk may be promising. It is now at around $5 and there are big news and changes coming up probably very soon in a matter of weeks or months, that will deliver all the needed tools and features for it to be traded at least for $10, meaning worth case scenario is times 2 your investment almost for sure, but most people expect it to go to $50 (which is still quite low and achievable) so even 10x.

It is so hard to choose the good ico or good coin. I hope this situation will be goes well after segwit2x hardfork. But if you really want to turn 1000 to 5000 at the end of this year. You could try to buy boscoin. Boscoin will launch their main net at q1 2018 probably the coin will goes up at december or january 2018 before the main net launch

Invest in Minereum ^^ It will go up a lot trust me! In 1 week the price will go up to ~50k Satoshi/MNE!
Now its on 6k! I bough some when it was 4,2k (this morning), trust me :)
