Title: Selling Prebuilt Bitcoin Mining Rigs With 1 Year Hardware Warranty

Selling prebuilt mining rigs with 1 year hardware warranty.  Great way to start mining Bitcoins if you don't have the hardware knowledge to build a machine yourself.  Also save the hassle of worrying about making sure your machine is cooled properly as all three models have all been tested and have great airflow.  Let me know if you have any questions.  I would gladly work out a deal if you want to pay in BTC.  I also welcome feedback on my prices.  Keep in mind that I am taking the risk of warrantying a high use PC for a year so I have to make a bit of profit to cover that.

and this is worldwide shipping, or just US only?

The prices include shipping to the USA or Canada.  I am happy to ship anywhere else at the cost of shipping there.  Just contact me and I can give you a quote.

Those prices are outrageous. Try and to make less per order and not gouge so much per person.

I will gladly reconsider the prices.  They are much less than all other sellers that I could find and I need to cover myself since I am warranting these for 1 year.  What do you think would be a fair price?  Please keep in mind that I do need to make a little for all my efforts :-)

here's my critique.

Economy Mining Rig
AMD Athlon II X2 250 @ 3.0GHz AM3 Processor (wtf? get a semperon or something)
2GB RAM (overkill. use linuxcoin)
1x ATI Radeon HD5770 GPU  (why would you even use that card for mining? even as an "economy rig". i would expect a 5830)
650W Power Supply (overkill. a good 450W would probably work)
500GB SATA HD (wow, can't you get something cheaper? like a usb flash drive with linuxcoin?)
DVD-RW (they should revoke your rig building license)

it seems like you're building gaming computers, not mining rigs. read up on how to build one over here: https://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=16076.0.

WOW, those mining contract nearly knocked me off my chair.

Best case scenario any buyer would run a 50% loss on those contracts, worst case far more than that.

On the economy, keep the price the same and include a 2nd 5770 - You have to think about their payback for all of this and at 200 Mhash they will never come close. Granted they aren't investing properly and will have a hard time at 400 but it is possible over the course of a few months depending on price and difficulty.

On the standard I would say drop the 6970 and go with 2 6870s. It will only cost you about $80 more and you are charging $300 more then the basic with a $200 price upgrade. Your margins are still there but you can boast another 200 Mhash per second bringing it to 600 and keeping it profitable for yourself.

As far as the elite rig goes, most miners don't want or need that kind of gear for a mining operation. I'm sure they would rather have less expensive equipment and run more rigs then to invest around $3500 to make that rig worth it. And I'm assuming the motherboard you have in that can even support 3 cards. I wouldn't bother selling that without at least 2 cards in there. Add the second for no profit and sell it like that. And the case better damn sure be ready for the heat or it will really get you in the end.

As for the warranty, you would just be turning them into the manufacturer and using that warranty anyway. If they decide to overclock the cards they void it anyway. Way of the mining world.

Until there are 5830's back on the market, it will be tough to make it worth your while. I'm sure newegg will be having a refurbished 5830 extravaganza in the near future so be ready to buy them up.  Good Luck.

Yea, must cut the crap in hard times. Just want to add that I run 2x5770 on a 400W no problem. Slightly OC:ed to reach 200MHash/s but compensating with 300Mhz mem so I guess they draw around 100W. Mobo + CPU maximum 100W probably less, CPU underclocked and undervolted.
Leaves another 100W for safety and more OC.

Thanks for the feedback.  I will rework the rig setups tomorrow.  I was including the larger than necessary hard drive and RAM figuring it would be good if people wanted to be able to use these as normal computers as well when they weren't mining.  I will change these into more barebones systems and reduce the prices.  I was undecided if I should go for the extra to make it more of a functional computer other than for mining, but it looks like a straight up mining rig would be better.  I will also take the suggestions regarding different choices in cards.

here's my critique.

Have that as an option for upgrade as you have for the additional video cards.
